Hotel Kazzhol Almaty

Great place to stay, overnight stopover with Air Astana en route to Bangkok Very good location, can walk to the famous wooden cathedral. The rooms are clean, and the breakfast is incredible. Never seen such a selection like this anywhere in the world. Allow 10 minutes to see all the choices. Reception staff all speak good English and are very helpful. Kazakhstan is a great place to visit. Friendly and helpful people, clean streets and feels very safe to walk around

I stayed three nights at this hotel. The reception staff was friendly. The room, including good bed, was comfortable and clean. Compared to some places, everything worked too! The breakfast was good – definitely above average. The location was pretty good. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the excellent Almaty metro. Good restaurants are even closer. A taxi ride is possible, but traffic is horrible.

I stayed at this hotel with my family for three days during our trip. We arrived early in the morning after a long journey and had to wait nearly two hours for check-in, despite our travel company having arranged and confirmed bookings for two rooms. The rooms also lacked basic amenities, and when we raised this issue, we were told to purchase them from a nearby supermarket, which is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. Additionally, Wi-Fi was functional in only one of the two rooms, and the issue was not resolved during our stay. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, and the reception staff would benefit from better customer service training.

As a stop on our tour, this hotel proved more than adequate.|Hidden away from the road it is centrally located and close to a supermarket. Rooms were a good size and clean enough, but the wifi was a bit spasmodic. Breakfast was in a large room and had a decent choice.

This is the first time that I am writing about the worst experience which I had with this hotel. Rooms not have proper lights, the room service cannot even say bad. We were a group of 11 for a trip at Almaty. None of my group members liked the hotel service and rooms. They didn't provided plates and cutlery so that we can have food in room and were advised to go out and buy it ourselves.||I will never recommend this to anyone and would also advise anyone planning even in group tour, do not choose this hotel. You will regret later.

This is a solid hotel in the center of the city within walking distance of shopping, food, attractions and the metro. The rooms are a bit on the small side but clean and adequate, the staff are nice and accommodating.

Rooms are old and worn. Breakfast is the only thing I liked with this Hotel. Staff not really care you especially Russian is not your first language. The lady in the night shift in reception... She just walked away and slept behind the wall while we are standing there waiting for her help. other days were the same. haven't seen such rude and unhappy reception in hospitality sector.

I selected this hotel as part of my Air Astana trip absolutely cannot fault the service! Also, breakfast was amazing. Clean, cosy, comfortable, excellent receptionist, very safe area for solo young women. I highly recommend it !
