Hotel Khang Residency

We had a really lovely stay at the Khang Residency. The bedroom and bathroom were extremely smart, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, helpful and flexible We asked for a bit more spice in our food for dinner on the second night and although they had never been asked for this before, they were most obliging! Thank you so much Khang Residency - a really lovely place to stay on our first night in Bhutan.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Khang Residency in Bhutan, and I can’t recommend it enough. The highlight of my stay was the breathtaking mountain view from my terrace, which made every morning feel like a postcard. The room itself was incredibly spacious! The service at the hotel was exceptional; my experience was perfect. From warm greetings to attentive assistance, they made me feel right at home. What a great hotel and staff, one night here was all our program allowed but the stay was brilliant and we would definitely stay again. Staff were friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Accommodation was perfect and warm on what had turned out to be a cold day. I reckon this hotel beats many in cities worldwide.

Khang Residency in located in a lovely part of Thimpu and rooms offer beautiful views of the town. The ambience was lovely traditional and the hotel felt like a homely nest where everyone wished to assist guests. Staff certainly are the treasure of this hotel - they provide support 24/7, a coffee and tea awaits at reception upon return from a busy day and Dorji and her colleagues are the sincerest and dearest team members. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner and the range of tasty meals provided was more than we expected and/or could eat. Compared with other hotels, including more expensive ones, Khang Residency stood out, specifically thanks to its care and the kindness of staff.

- The hotel staff speaks good english, so there is no problem communicating with tourist.|- The hotel has a lift and staff will bring your luggage to your room.|- The restaurant is located just beside the lobby at level 1|- The room is big and roomy.

The rooms are very nice, well maintained. Nice bathroom. The pillows were a bit flat and hard. This made it difficult to sleep wearing ear plugs, which were really necessary due to the almost continuous barking of dogs going on around the hotel most of the time during the night. The curtains did not block out the sunlight fully, which led me to wake up very early (not a problem for me, but worth noting). The restaurant was okay, a bit dark, very friendly and professional staff. However during my one week stay, they did not have about half the items I ordered in stock each time I ate there. |I paid about 95 dollar per night via a website, and overall I found that too expensive considering the poor quality of my sleep. I since found another place for half the price where I sleep much better.

We stayed for 2 nights in Khang Residency and it was such a pleasant experience, starting from the ever smiling team at the reception to the kitchen staff and room service. ||||The room comes with heated floors, heated bathroom floors, a heated towel rack and all around hot water... bathtub included. We had our own stand alone room heater which we could switch on and off depending on our comfort. The balcony has sliding glass doors and a sliding mesh door, to either bring in the cold air or keep it out.||||The room was spacious and warm. With the cold weather, slippers and heated towels were provided. Morning coffee from room service was not charged additionally until other hotels I've stayed in. ||||The kitchen service was like that of a home stay or even home. The food was cooked to our taste (considering the Bhutanese love their spice... and we didn't). If something in the menu was not available, they provided other options.||||I would recommend Khang Residency as it truly resonates with Bhutan's culture of welcoming their guests.||||#khangresidency #drukasia
