Hotel Kimen

This 3 star hotel experience was very nice. It's position, service and archtecture puts it to the top of what you can experience on the Island of Cres. Very welcoming and caring staff with smile - from reception, waiters, bar tenders and management. The quality and the progress blendend with customer service takes this hotel to the level of 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ hotel alredy now. The preparations for the season 2026 are in the full swing. The food was nicely served in a spacious hall, the staff was there to assist. The choice of food of all meals was very rich enhanced with set up for easier approach. Will come back!! We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kimen! The location is ideal — nestled in nature, just steps from the beach and a short walk from the charming town of Cres. The hotel is peaceful, clean, and perfect for a relaxing family holiday. It’s especially great for kids — there’s plenty of space to play, beautiful walking paths through the pine trees, and the beach is safe and nearby. The staff were kind and helpful, and the food was tasty with a good selection for both adults and children. Highly recommended for families looking to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the island!

I've NEVER experienced in any other hotel that the staff is working in the same place for so long! It's like home, it is like you went to see your friends! The food is great, the rooms are clean and charming, the surroundings is like in the fairytale. ♥️ See you again soon!

I enjoyed the whole feeling here. I booked only for one night as a traveller but I don’t feel like going. The whole atmosphere is great even though there is plenty of room for improvement. It has got the area for a swimming pool and sauna🤷🏻‍♂️

It was our first stay on Cres Island and we booked a 3 night stay at Hotel Kimen with breakfast only. Reviews by earlier guests convinced us it would be a good place to stay and we were right.||Great friendly helpful staff, good near by parking and gardens that backed onto the sea, made our stay very enjoyable. ||Rooms were very modern, quiet and spotlessly clean and breakfast was buffet style with both hot and cold food available … what was available was way ahead of expectations!||And the location was perfect .. a quick 10 minute walk into the main town with a safe well lit route following the shoreline.||My only negative comment being the very noisy beer dispense coolers and chillers behind the bar … on / off all evening and pretty annoying when they were running. Let’s hope the management get this resolved quickly!

The hotel is more than 1km from the center of Cres, so get ready for a good walk or use a bicycle, which many tourists do. The hotel is on an elevation in relation to the beach, so be prepared to "hike" to the reception or to the room. Really bad experience. It's as if they were trapped in the time of communism, they hardly changed anything. Painting the lobby and the main restaurant and renovating it does not mean you are competitive in the market. You are still an old, ultra old hotel

Disappointing Stay We decided on a last-minute weekend stay at [Name of Hotel/Accommodation, if known] and were unfortunately left disappointed. Right from our arrival, there was a discrepancy with the price: we were quoted a lower rate over the phone than what we actually had to pay. The room we were assigned had several issues. The balcony door was broken, rendering the balcony unusable. Additionally, the air conditioning was noisy, which disturbed our sleep. The culinary offerings have also declined. As repeat guests who have stayed here three times before, we noticed that both the breakfast and dinner buffets no longer met our expectations in terms of quality. Due to these experiences, we will book through Booking.com again in the future, as we feel they are more friendly and careful with room assignments.

We were there 2 years in a row, coming back this year. Great food, very family-hotel vibe. Super friendly staff. Beach full of shade, clean sea, great for swimming. Old town is very close, perfect evening stroll. Fridge in the room is very handy. Annex is also pet-friendly. Literally no objections. Can't wait to be back.
