I needed a spot for one night close to a dive center that I was headed out with. This happened to be right across the street and it looked nice. All of the staff were very friendly. The room was cheap so I signed up but honestly didn't expect too much. I was very impressed! Hot showers, cold A/C, comfortable bed, great pillows and the staff were very accommodating to a specific request I had. It was a little noisy at night, but I expected as much being so close to the nightlife. I highly recommend this lovely hotel in a great location!

Positive: The staff at this hotel is excellent and always tries to help. The rooms are clean and well cared for. Negative: This hotel is in the club zone. It is impossible to get any sleep between 8 o?clock at night and 2 o?clock in the morning. While it is very close to the beach and fifth Avenue, the club experience totally destroys the ambience of this nice hotel.

The room was very dark, old and humid. Bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was horrible. During the night the water came out of the toilet and everything was flooded. It was so disgusting. The shower is very old and everything is falling apart and not well maintained. For people who just want to party maybe a place to go. But for people who want to have a nice room it's not recommended. We will not come back.

Great hotel in an excellent location. The location could not be better- steps away from the beach and steps away from 5th ave. 24/7 staff there which is nice. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. You can borrow beach towels as well which is great. We used the pool once which was nice. They don’t really have any other amenities, it’s quite basic. The bed was really hard - like extremely hard. Expect loud music as the bars are very close by and play extremely loud music until 2/3am. It didn’t really bother me but what was slightly bothersome was the other constant noise at any other hour of the day. Just seemed like the walls were thin, and you could always hear some sort of banging/hammering- maybe construction near by? Would still stay here again though.

First night room smelled moldy bed was hard. Switched to a room on ground level. Didn't want to lug my bags up those narrow stairs, No elevator. That room had a faulty air-conditioner. Moved me back upstairs on the 3rd floor, and the toilet wouldn't flush! So instead of staying the five nights I initially booked I checked out. It's been about 6 months and I still haven't received my refund. Not from booking.com or kinbe I won't be using either business ever again.. the only thing that was good about that hotel is the location the rest is melda, did I mention how loud it is ever night horrible place Stay away you'll surey thank me

Dear Hotel Management, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the delightful experience my wife and I had during my stay at your establishment. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt welcomed and cared for.Your staff members deserve special mention. Their professionalism, warmth, and willingness to go the extra mile made my stay memorable. Whether it was the front desk person with recommendations or the housekeeping team ensuring my room was spotless, everyone contributed to a seamless experience. In closing, thank you for creating a haven where comfort, luxury, and exceptional service converge. I look forward to returning soon and creating more cherished memories at your wonderful hotel. Warm regards, Mr Reyna

I was on vacation with my wife and we stayed at hotel Kinbe for 8 nights. The service was awesome and so was the location (near the beach and from the 5th avenue). We stayed in a accommodation with 1 double bed and 1 bathroom. The accommodation is not good because it's not ventilated and is humid. Our clothes stayed with orange spots (probably mold and fungus because of the humid and hot room)

I booked 7 nights at Hotel Kinbe on a site that unfortunately didn’t have reviews, but fortunately I always travel with earplugs. As mentioned by every other reviewer, thanks to nearby nightclubs MOST people will need them to sleep before 2-3AM (40-50dB most nights occasionally as high as 60dB). It’s a shame because Kinbe is a pretty cute hotel in a good location. Nice beach two blocks away, plenty of restaurants and bars (albeit, overpriced/touristy) around the corner, two dive shops across the street, bank with reputable ATMs a block west then south, etc. The hotel staff were nice enough. House keeping did a great job turning down the bed, refreshing towels, and cleaning the room EVERY DAY (increasingly rare post-COVID). I spent 6 days scuba diving at the cenotes and tended to track around a lot of sand, mud, leaves, and wet gear- they kept it spotless (make sure to leave a tip if you do the same). Note that the entire pool is 1.8m (with no shallow area) so it may be too deep for most- especially kids. Normally I’d give 1-2 stars for a place I’d never return to nor recommend (owing to the noise), but 3 seems fair given they can’t easily do a lot about it. The city really ought to require clubs keep their noise indoors or move out near the highway. But this isn’t the venue for ordinances.

Yelp
Unfortunately our experience here was bad and I can NOT recommend this "boutique" hotel to anyone. We arrived easily with the gps but there nearest parking was blocks away and we would have to pay. We ended finding street parking close to the Walmart. Staff was friendly at front desk and helped us with our bag to our room. I asked about the quiet section as I read on trip advisor but these rooms were more expensive and we would have to pay up charge. The room is extremely small just the king bed two night stands or small suit cases barely fit without us having to move them. Worse part is that we left a US$50 bill in our suitcase and when we came back from our excursion we found a $5 bill in its place folded the same way. I understand people are underpaid but we needed the cash and found ourselves out $45. We complained to the front desk and manager and she said she trusted her employees over us and she even offered us $25 so we wouldn't write a bad review. As a respectable yelper I would never take silence money. The bed was not comfortable. You here the music from 5th Avenue all night long. The shower and stones on the bottom which was uncomfortable and the water would leak into the rest of the bathroom so you never have dry feet. It is 1 block from the beach but there are more beautiful beaches than playa in Mexico (Tulum and Cancun beaches were better). The good location does not offset the horrible and uncomfortable experience we had. There are better options. Do not stay here.

Yelp
Great boutique hotel. Air conditioning was good. Excellent staff! Premiere location with artistic design details. Fabulous!!!

Yelp
I like this place in theory. Good location. Well designed, super clean, good linens and if you get a suite, the room is a nice size w a balcony. We paid extra for a room overlooking the pool. Unfortunately, they sometimes run the pool filter all night long and it sounds like the world's biggest coffee pot is brewing in the walls next to the bed. Impossible to sleep. I complained the first night, when it woke me up at 4 am and I couldn't get back to sleep. They apologized and said it wouldn't happen again. Well, as I wrote this, it was 1:30 am and the filters were going. The night manager said he doesn't know how to turn it off, the hotel is full and the hotel manager isn't answering the phone. He's asleep. Awesome. Wish I was.

Yelp
Small, modern yet sufficient. The hotel is beautiful like a jungle with rooftop terrace and pool. Close to the beach (block walk) and night life, shopping etc. No ice machine. Coffee available 24/7 and extremely helpful staff.

Yelp
I really don't understand how this hotel has 3.5 stars. After spending one night here, we moved to a different hotel. We had specifically asked for a room on the first floor and paid extra for a larger room, however the room we waited three hours for was dirty and in very poor condition. The light fixtures were broken, the floor was covered in dirt and hair and the toilet seat was dirty. There were loose boards in the floor. I have no problem with boutique hotels and basic amenities but a there is no excuse for a dirty, run down room for over $200 a night. We were quickly moved to another room but it was on the 3rd floor. The noise level from the nearby nightclub during the BPM festival was unbearable and could be heard until 6 am. We were unable to sleep as the 3rd floor room provided no insulation from the noise. The pictures on the website do not accurately reflect the current state of the hotel's guest rooms. The only positive to this experience was that the manager was very courteous and listened to our complaints. She agreed to give us a refund for the additional nights we had already paid for. I would not recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Great place to stay if u plan to be in the center of playa del carmen beach side at a reasonable price. Staff was awesome very accommodating and very good in hospitality. rooms were excellent very impressive. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
I loved this place it feels like home. The staff is great especially Enrique y Samantha who we spoke to on a daily and before our stay. They helped our trip go as smooth and possible. The only down fall at this place was the water overflow in the showers, since there is no base under shower door the water gets out all over the bathroom which then soaks the rug and it was not nice to come out and step on a cold wet rug. I ended up getting sick and I think that have something to do with it. That was the only down fall. Other than that I loved the location and everything this place had to offer. Thank you to all the Kinbe staff who I didn't name.

Yelp
Cool hotel. Feels like a jungle vibe. It has decent roof top if you want to tan. Invest in a larger room if your budget permits. The first floor suites have direct access to the pool. Pool is small, so plan accordingly if you are an introvert. Great location. Right next to the beach and right by the action. Front desk staff are phenomenal.hotel offers wifi code. Oh and be advised... there is no elevator...

Yelp
Really convenient stay ! Close to 5th ave which is the main strip there. Rooms kinda small but worth it. Cool pool friendly staff. Wifi wasn't really working that weekend and it's slow

Yelp
I loved the look of the hotel, a jungle vibe for sure. Our room, the "Moody" room, was a good size; I can't imagine having a smaller room though, I would definitely go for this size or bigger. Our room came with a terrace which we did not expect but were very happy about. There's a nice rooftop area with a view - good for laying out or getting out of the room if you don't have a terrace or balcony. The cleaning staff was fast and very friendly, they did a great job cleaning. Everything in the room worked, no problems with anything. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, along with the management. The location is prime: short walk to the beach, close the the main strip and surrounded by great restaurants, and convenient stores - the hotel doesn't have any vending machines or ice machines. Breakfast is not provided although they do offer coffee and apples in the morning. WiFi worked 95% of the time. Very happy with our entire stay at Kinbe!
