It was so lovely to live above the Rhein and look out over it each day. ||Highlights of our stay:||It was a great place for families. Our kids 6 & 10 got welcome bags with all sorts of fun things. The central green space had all sorts of games and activities outside that they enjoyed. The room was a really good size. The kids also got cute bathrobes for whenever we went up to the pool with little bear ears - they loved that. There were goats out in front that the kids greeted each day which was fun. The pool we had nearly to ourselves. The spa area looked really nice but it was mostly closed to to Corona - nothing to be done about that. ||The interior design and African inspiration was really well done. It was too bad all the explanations were just in German. ||We had dinner twice in the restaurant and it was very good. The venison was outstanding. When you make a reservation for dinner make sure to ask for the dining room to the left as the other is the usual breakfast room. It’s a super cozy room with soft seating, nicer decor and atmosphere. There are also the stunning views of the river. ||The staff at the front desk was lovely as well. Helpful, charming and took good care of us. They all spoke English as well which we always appreciate. ||Really a lovely experience. ||Breakfast was ordinary but adequate. Nothing special. Could have been Corona but I think it was just ordinary German.

Unfortunately, we could only stay at Jakobsberg for one night. I was delighted by the whole experience and would love to have had more time. The location was excellent. The river view was simply amazing. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The property was large, but felt intimate.||||We had dinner in the restaurant and morning breakfast. Both were wonderful. The wine selection was impressive. The staff was friendly and helpful. ||||The weather was poor so we did not get to enjoy the grounds. I would definitely return to the Jakobsberg Hotel ||||We were in the old wing - which was charming. There is a newer section with spa services which also looked nice.

My wife likes to hike and so do I (if there's a golf course attached) so this resort was perfect for both of us. Corona19 has altered vacation dynamics and quarantine conditions were still apparent, but Jakobsberg seemed to be doing a great job under current (Summer 2020) circumstances though some amenities (fitness/restaurant) were compromised or still closed. That said, we enjoyed 2 nights here very much. Restaurant and desk staff were sweet and made us feel at home, it seemed everyone was happy to be open for business again. Dirk and the team at the golf area were wonderful, rental clubs were a comparative bargain at $20 with Taylor Made short irons, and having a late afternoon with just a few other players on the course (in good condition though fairways were dry as stated by someone previously) is exactly how I like it anyway. Small but very efficient gym with range of 10 shiny new, top quality machines and multiple hand weights was open, limited to two occupants so we had it to ourselves. Wifi worked fine on two laptops throughout 3 days. Breakfast was good though buffet was closed, some of the best scrambled eggs and salmon I've had at a hotel. The hotel has some interesting sculptures and artwork ie: gun, carving, and pipe collections but what's most memorable, for worse or better, are the taxidermy displays of African animals which those against hunting will probably hate. I am not a hunter or fan but the displays reminded me of small museums from the '60s. The hotel sits atop a scenic, wooded mountain range over the riverside Rhineland town of Boppard which is well worth a visit. Bottom line : This was the first vacation we've taken since the pandemic hit, and I was apprehensive about travel/hotels/etc away from our Dusseldorf base but the many visible hygienic safeguards in place here made me quite comfortable. Have been home 3 weeks now with no issues and these days that's the most important thing. I definitely plan on returning.

I have never been in a hotel where the staff have been so friendly. Absolutely loved my time there and felt relaxed all of the time. The room was huge and comfortable. The restaurant was brilliant and I felt spoilt after eating there. We made good use of the spa and spent time there even after checking out. I would say the only thing that let me down was the pillow where I woke up with a sore neck on the final morning. Next time I need to get a round of golf in! Well done and thank you.

The previous last three reviews are certainly worth reading, they go into so much detail that it saves me covering all the same points. We were a group of six golfers there for the Fri thru to the Sunday , 2 x dinner, 2 x breakfast buffet incl 2 x 18 holes. We parked right in front of the main entrance , offloaded our luggage then drove up to the large parking area ( saves you having to walk all the way with your luggage ). Reception staff were friendly and ( Covid ) informative. Our rooms were in the 'African' area - you'll find all over the hotel different motives and interesting artworks-sculptures and paintings. Dinner has two seatings, one at 6pm the other 8pm. We had a set menu for dinner ( part of our package ) , you'll find as we did the food is delicious, well chosen and outstanding quality. The dinning room staff are polite/friendly especially the head waiter Andreas. Breakfast buffet is ok - nothing special , bit disappointing for such a renown hotel e.g. there was only the choice between boiled, fried or scrambled eggs with a couple of strips of what is supposed||to be bacon, you can't get sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, toast etc. The hotel does have a lot to offer ( see website ), the view over the Rhein and surrounding areas are picturesque. The club house is within walking distances ( 2-3 mins ) and offers a good choice of hot snacks, salads etc and draft beer which comes in handy if you've just played 18 holes!

The resort was in a quiet location with views to the Rhine. The golf course and practice area looked amazing. Unfortunately we were not there long enough to play. The food was simply DELICIOUS. Didn’t have one bad item. I would definitely love to go back for a round.

What a welcome we received when we arrived (exhausted) after a 10 hour drive from Italy on a Sunday night! Two sparkling glasses of Prosecco and a gift bag for our dog with treats and toys. Having booked Klostergut half board on Booking.com we didn’t really know what to expect from the dinner but it was a sit down 3 course meal, and it was excellent. The waiter was so kind and even suggested a great wine. Breakfast was served in a cute hamper to the room, and we ate outside on our little table in the sun. We liked this place so much that we booked another night and delayed our drive back home to the NL. Thank you to the amazing staff for taking care of us and our dog Ziggy, we will be back without hesitation next time we’re driving this route through Germany! Just an add on, Booking doesn’t tell you that the dog will be €18 extra a night, but it’s worth it, the attention they receive makes it a very special place for them as well as you.

Nice place to be... even though fairway were brown and many facilities were not in the best shapes, still they were enjoyable... great views overlooking Mosel and layouts were very interesting... the manager in the restaurant(golf) were top.. he is caring so much and kind. He deserves great compliment....
