Hôtel Koh-I Nor by Les Etincelles

On our last day here at the Koh I Nor and have marked it a 5* review. ||Overall we have had a fantastic stay. Rooms were clean and accommodating. There is a second door inside which shuts out the noise from the corridor. Although a bit manic the breakfast was excellent. Special mention to Leah whose beautiful smile greeted us every morning. Reception staff helped us with restaurant reservations and organised the minibus (free around town) which we made use of most days. ||The spa is a great way to relax at the end of the day. It has a big sauna, steam room and functional pool. Kids could use it until 6pm which was fun for them. ||The ski room was amazing. The staff were so helpful. They took your skis from you at the end of the day and helped you get ready in the morning. Thank you to the staff here who are all brilliant. ||Bar staff were also brilliant. End of day beers on the veranda in the sunshine was just perfect. ||Traveller tip get the minibus WhatsApp number from reception so you can call ahead to get collected. Overall the minibus service was excellent and credit to Thierry who looked after us. ||There were a couple of things the hotel could do to improve and these have already been mentioned in other reviews. The main issue we had was that the room is so hot at night, even with all radiators turned off. This means you have to sleep with the balcony door open (no windows) and are then subject to all the outside noise of delivery vans and noisy people. The minibus is a great option but we had a few times when we were told a few minutes and it took more like 20. One evening there was no answer but we were in walking distance so it wasn’t a problem.||We will return to this hotel if we ski here again.

Great ski in ski out hotel location. Amazing shuttle service to allow you to get into town. The ski shop service was amazing, James made it especially notable. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Only negative comment was the outdoor hot tub was closed and the indoor door hot tub was small and not hot. Otherwise the spa facility was nice.

We stayed here a week with a party of 13. For the price you pay, I would expect much better. Hotel staff are good and rooms clean. Spa facilities are good. Ski shop staff are excellent. Hotel restaurants are very poor. Poor selection, especially if vegatarian. Given the cost of dining there the service is found wanting. We made a reservaton for 7:30pm only to be served food after 9pm. In addition, some of the food served caused illness to our party, likely due to the fact the kitchen was too slow at serving guests. When raised with management about uncooked meats, they just shrugged and said it wasn't their problem. Hotel billing system is also completely broken. Our end of week bill contained other people's orders, double counted food we consumed and also didnt have a proper system to track expenditure meaning we had to go through it with staff for over an hour. When we went through it they still made so many mistakes when bills were restated the next day. This isn't a one off either, staff told me they have this issue with a lot of guests. For the premium price of the accomodation and food paid, I would expect much better. Doubt this hotel would still be a 5* hotel if reviewed today.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this hotel in France! The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable—truly a perfect retreat after a day on the slopes. Breakfast was top-class, with a wide selection of delicious options to fuel us for the day ahead. The staff were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The ski-in, ski-out access was a total game-changer, making our time on the mountain so seamless and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back for another unforgettable stay!

we spent a week of family ski holiday from the 17th until the 24th of March 2025. the experience we had was marvelous. Lorine at the desk received us with a huge smile and assisted us in every step until the last day, with all the rest of the team. The room were vast with magnificent view. James at the ski shop was so professional and | helpful. we ate at the Diamant noir and L'atelier 2 excellent meals. to summarize - highly recommended, we will return

We stayed four nights here mid-December and had the most wonderful time. The customer service is top-notch. I find it rather surprising to read some negative reviews, because we had the best of service here. Everyone, from the front-desk to the drivers, who took you up and down to the market always served with a smile. The food was great but the breakfast could surely do with more variety, as we found it was the same for all the days we stayed. Guess, ski resort guests typically longer and to see the same breakfast everyday would get boring. The ski facilities are on point and the staff too helpful and friendly. Overall, super stay and we would visit again for sure, for the fabulous views and the warm hospitality. Thanks guys!!

We had a great time there. The highlights from our point of view were: the hotel has its own ski shop and direct access to the slopes. A sun terrace with an incredible view over the town, the mountains and some slopes, the spacious SPA and the local savoyarde restaurant. Only thing to improve is the main restaurant. Dishes were boring and really small for that price tag.

We had a wonderful time. It was really disappointing to find the exterior sauna not available for use… I would like to have water available for drink in the ski locker. Temperature too hot in ski locker. Everything else was really amazing. Rooms, lobby, services, restaurants. Simply amazing
