Hotel Kompas

Stayed here for two nights on business and their auditorium style meeting room is a true highlight with gorgeous views of lake Bled and the castle. The hotel has recently been renovated, especially the beds are super comfortable. The bathrooms are a bit on the smaller side but great water temperature and pressure. The gym is small but has a fairly good variety of machines. Really enjoyed their breakfast spread but also their lunch and dinner buffets.

Excellent hotel, phenomenal location. The rooms are spacious, with a terrace and a wonderful view. Equipped with everything you need for your stay. WiFi very good. Clean. Breakfast very varied, delicious. Friendly staff, always at your service. Hotel has its own parking lot.

Stayed a few weeks back with my partner and it was lovely. Really friendly and helpful staff; room well equipped and location was incredible. The gym and gym staff were awesome. The kits a little old school but it is classic good quality. Thanks for a grest time!

We stayed here during the off season for 1 night only. You could tell it was the off season as the hotel was very empty, and some services were not at their optimum. |Nice view from the room overlooking the lake and castle, with a private balcony. Room was a decent size and well equipped. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was fantastic, very powerful and hot. The room was mostly very clean, but under the bed was awful, they clearly don’t ever hoover under the bed. |The hotel had basic spa facilities. The pool was a nice size but the temperature of the water was far too cold. The hot tub was not in use which was disappointing. The sauna was chargeable, whilst we were aware upfront of the charge, it would have been nice to use it free of charge due to the hot tub being out of order and the pool being under temperature. So essentially the facilities were there, but not up to standard which was disappointing. |Breakfast was buffet style and had all the choice you would expect, no complaints here. Café was closed throughout the stay, presumably due to the off season but nobody really knew if it would be open or not. The bar was semi open, you could request drinks and someone would come and open to serve. Staff were all nice and friendly. Asking for a tip at check-out is a bit cheeky, considering we already tip staff as we go during the stay, and pay the tourist tax and the 1 euro per person hotel charge per day! Price of the hotel is already at a premium for the standard. |Overall a fairly positive stay, but it could have been better if all services and facilities were up to standard; presumably when it’s not the off-season.

Special thanks to Chef Veronica who made sure that we get proper veg breakfast.. we are pure vegetarians and we were struggling to get veg options in breakfast! We really enjoyed the food made by Chef Veronica.. the taste was also good she made sure we get lil spicy taste! Thanks so much Chef Veronica once again the hotel is also very beautiful and the location is very close and right opposite to Lake Bled!

We had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Kompass. The rooms were nice, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean. The location is excellent, with plenty of parking. I would definitely stay here again. If being critical, the cooked breakfast options weren’t my taste, but there were plenty of cereals, bread, dry meats, and treats. The coffee cups were a bit small, and the pool and gym, while a bit dated, were fully operational and functional.

Great position for this hotel that is right in front of Bled lake. Staff is kind and rooms are spacious but I find they were not taken care enough: they need some work to fix neglected parts and have to be cleaned deeper. There is a swimming pool and a small spa but again it should be cleaned more. Breakfast offered a variety of food but was averages. Parking available onsite.

Hotel is a bit worn out, but it is till decet. But service is not that great. We had an issue with the room card, additional bed was not ready when we arrived and it was also broken. Food is good, nothing special, but also nothing to complain about. Pool is nice, but also a little worn out
