Location, location. Everything is within walking distance. We loved the separate room for the third person. Breakfast was excellent. Staff super friendly. And reasonable priced for 3 people. Comfortable clean beds. Shower over bath not great for elderly people, no hand grips or anti slip mats. The room (including bathroom) feels a bit tired, not super clean. And coffee/tea facilities would have been nice.

Great location, lovely people and good breakfast. Nevertheless quite impossible to have a good sleep in the rooms: - No Air-conditioning (was close to 30 degrees in the room) - no proper working ventilation in the bathroom (after taking a shower the room has the same humidity as a jungle) - dirty matras (loads of yellow spots) - shower doesn’t work properly (goes from cold to warm and the water pressure continuously changes) - bad isolation (you could hear the - neighbors making “happy time” and taking a shower) - loads of noise from the street due to windows which need to be replaced (see picture) Probably this hotel was worth 4* way in the past, but the rooms really need to be renovated.

I stayed for three days in the hotel. Overall, it is an excellent place to stay in. However, it was cold, and the AC didn't work; I went to the reception and requested to warm up the room. The receptionist said sorry, we could not open the heater; okay, give me a spare blanket? And she said sorry, we haven't got any. I was furious, and I insisted. After 1 hour, she brought me the blanket. The hotel is clean; breakfast was satisfying. The most I love most is it is in the middle of the centre of Copenhagen.

I actually quite enjoyed Hotel Kong Frederik, where I stayed for 1 night only. The room was very spacious and clean, and even the bathroom was really big. I agree that the hotel would benefit from having air-conditioning, but luckily it was not very warm when I visited Copenhagen. The breakfast was decent and offered sufficient choice. Despite it's flaws - it's true that the hotel has not been maintained well - the old decoration and design offered an interesting hotel experience.

NOT 4 STARS, barely a 3-star hotel at best. The hotels does not look like the photos: it is old, in great need of maintenance, and does not have anything remotely similar to a 4-star hotel. It’s a below average 3-star hotel at best. I’m never staying here again. The staff were lovely at reception but the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Uncomfortable old mattress, no air conditioning, and a lot of noise (even though I’m on the top floor and facing an interior courtyard, I can hear the street like it’s right in front of the window!)

Total disappointment. We were there with our 3yr old & would have expected the boutique experience that the hotel advertises. Instead it was really run down, the rooms were dirty (lots of stains on the carpet, unclean bathrooms) & stuffy. We had some sort of a „balcony“ but found cigarette butts lying around. The mirrors were stained, our night stands dusty. There supposedly was cleaning every day but they seemed to just do the bed & some vacuuming. They left the dirty towels & stains in the bathrooms. We asked for a new room but were told that we might get a new room (downgrade - whatever that means) a night later. Most remarkable was that all 3 of us developed itchy eyes & stuffy throats, so the uncleanliness might cause some health issues. The staff was friendly but seemed very used to complains about the state of the rooms so they didn’t put in a lot of effort remedying the situation. We eventually left for another hotel (no one suggested to compensate us in any way) because this really tainted our experience in the city. Just stay away from this hotel. It‘s not worth it.

This is a scam. The personnel was friendly but the management is responsible for this situation. This hotel should be closed as it looks like a vintage museum. To start with, when entering in the elevator, it wad not cleaned, but the opposite, touched by everyone and it was obviously visible. Arriving in the room, a part of the floor was inclined, with a considerable slope that I was afraid I will arrive one level down and in the middle night, was about to twist my ankle due to the severe inclination of it. Dust everywhere: on the lamp, on the frame of the paintings, near the bed frame etc. Scratches on all walls. Bad quality of the consumables: soap, toilet paper etc. I even found hair on the bed sheet under the pillow, remained from the previous guest. The room service? It seemed that entered in the room the next morning, but only to make the bed, and did not touch the bath.. On the floor, a towel was waiting to be changed etc.. The bed is good, but the furniture is old and dirty. Very dirty. This is not acceptable. And the breakfast, it is literally the worst breakfast that i had in any place i stayed. Few options and bad quality. I strongly do not recommend this place. There were few cups with yogurt, 1 spoon size, and it was all yoghurt that they have.. By a few, I mean 3. And all vegetables were cucumbers and tomatoes. Aaa, and the fruits were looking very bad, like plastic ones. Never ever saw such a poor breakfast not even in a 3 star hotel.
