Hotel Krallerhof (Leogang, Austria) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Against the backdrop of Salzburger mountain luxury, just minutes from a cable-car lift, Hotel Krallerhof embodies the mid-century vision so many hotels strive for. From the striking architectural profile to the resort-wide dedication to international contemporary art, it’s a thoroughly cosmopolitan experience, helmed by a fourth-generation crew of proudly local hoteliers. The spa facilities are housed in a space-age facade fronting a massive natural bathing lake with both an Olympic-length infinity pool and an integrated whirlpool inside. Don’t miss the ice grotto or the zen garden." - Tablet Hotels

Our recent family holiday at Hotel Krallerhof was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the seamless blend of traditional Austrian hospitality and high-end modern luxury. The rooms are breathtaking. We stayed in a suite that felt both incredibly stylish and wonderfully cozy. The attention to detail in the design, the quality of the materials made it a comfortable experience. If you are a food lover, this is the place to be. The selection of food was impressive—every meal felt like a celebration of local flavors and culinary creativity. From the expansive breakfast buffet to the sophisticated dinner courses, there was something to delight both the adults and the kids. What truly sets Krallerhof apart is the service. The staff is attentive, warm, and genuinely helpful without being overbearing. They went out of their way to ensure our family felt at home, handling every request with a smile. Whether you’re relaxing in the iconic "Atmosphere" spa or enjoying the outdoor activities, this hotel delivers a 5-star experience in every sense. It is the perfect sanctuary for a family getaway. Definitely can recommend & hope to return there next year.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. The service was amazing, and the food was at Michelin-restaurant level. The hotel’s spa is one of the best we’ve experienced in Europe, and the design of the new area in the hotel is simply stunning. The infinity pool is the highlight, and we enjoyed every moment at the hotel. Thank you to the wonderful staff. We will recommend it to everyone we can, and we’ll be back next year.

Lovely hotel, very friendly crew. The wellness facilities are impressive and really enjoyable. The rooms are supper clean and spacious. We travelled with our toddler and she enjoyed the kids club while we were enjoying the spa. Thank you to the team, and we will be definitely coming back again

The hotel did not exceed my expectations. This was definitely not the standard of a 5* hotel. Firstly, the quality of towels in the bedroom was not 5* hotel standard. We have stayed in many hotels and this was not it. In addition to this, the lack of slippers in the room was shocking. Why should we feel obliged to buy slippers to walk around the hotel, when 95% of hotels around the world provide disposable ones for free? Secondly, we had booked our stay with breakfast included. When we went down for breakfast, we were the ONLY ones who were placed in the side room, instead of the buffet area. There were many places in the breakfast room, yet we were shifted outside, far away from the buffet. This was super inconvenient and we felt very offended by this. Our table wasn’t even prepared for breakfast (no cups, saucers etc). In addition to this, when I kindly asked your staff named ‘Alina’ to try accommodate us in the breakfast room, she responded incredibly rudely. I was genuinely shocked by this behaviour and because of this, would never recommend this hotel to anyone back home in the UK.

It might be not easy to get there (the closest airports are like 1-1,5h drive), however place worth visiting. It’s located in the wonderful alps area, the views are fantastic. They have just outstanding spa, that I recommend to visit any season if the year

Don't forget to bring your own slippers, otherwise you are forced to buy them in their merch store for 10 EUR. Don’t count on that they are going to have your size. No, they don't. This place was designed by some clown… there is a lot of colors, prints, etc. It’s hard to describe. The new wellness is just a small part of the whole place and it doesn't match the style of the complex. Poor internet quality. Food was average. In the bar there was some disguisting cigaret smoke.

Yelp
If you're looking for total relaxation, this is it. Here's a longggg (hopefully helpful) review since it took a lot a research for me to make a decision to choose Hotel Krallerhof. And we loved it ^_^ A little more than a 2 hour drive from Munich's airport (or 3 hour train ride), Hotel Krallerhoff is hidden in beautiful Austrian alpine terrain. The views here are amazing and to enjoy it from your own room or their updated modern pool/spa center (called the Atmosphere) is totally dreamy! Located right next to the cable cars, this would be a perfect ski resort too. The hotel allows kids (and pets!) but there were a lot of places open only for adults 15+ years old. Staff were friendly and would break out in great English when they heard my broken German :P Housekeeping staff were really sweet and SO FAST and good at tidying up everyday-- excellent! Guests are mostly European (and polite)-- think we were one of the only American guests there. When booking, you'll select a room in a select "houses/huts," with some being connected to the main building and some not (meaning you'll have to walk outside to get to meals or the Atmosphere), so do some research or ask. Most of the rooms were decorated with alpine charm but we were able to book a slightly more modern and simple room-- whew! The balcony opened up to a view of the mountains and lake; it was one of my favorite parts of the stay, so pretty~~~ Just FYI, there is no AC!! Luckily we had great weather so it was comfortable just keeping our windows cracked open. But I can't fathom how it would feel if it were any hotter (our first night it was too warm for me). Parking is easy and free outside or paid for monitored underground parking. Guests also get a visitor card that allows free rides for public transport (select cable cars/gondola and buses) or discounts at many attractions :) Free bike rentals are also available! === Now onto the food, which is included with booking and quite good and actually probably on the nutritious side (vegetarians can also enjoy)! We were assigned to a specific table for the stay, and depending on the weather, meals were outside in a shaded covered patio or inside. Breakfast and lunch were buffet style with a serious spread of cheeses and a heavenly shelf of assorted breads to choose from. Breakfast had plenty of cereals, oatmeal/porridges, yogurts, fruits, breads, eggs/bacon, made to order omelettes, and even a make your own juice bar. The lunch options were a little more limited but still had a salad bar, bread, and a rotating hot foods (spaetzle, schnitzel, meatballs, roast pork, etc) and cake selection. Dinner was a paced 5 course menu that changed nightly along with the salad bar. It was fun to try something new each night, and the presentation of dishes was really on point. I loved their fish dishes, got to try venison a few times, and their meats are nicely cooked. I liked how the portions weren't enormous, because we were still pretty full an each night! Really high quality food, loved it. :D The hotel owner would make rounds each night and stop at each table for a chat-- pretty serious hospitality, and our servers were always happy and enthusiastic :) An ice cream bar was available each night, and on Friday night, it was a dessert buffet with 6+ types of cakes along with chocolate fountains with fruit and candies to dip-- fun! There's also a bar on site where you can use your welcome drink coupon as well as order their house beer or other drinks. === For amenities, so many! There's an underground maze to connect them all, but the Atmosphere is their amenities center with the 50m heated infinity pool, man made lake (unheated), and sauna/spa area. The views are amazing from the pool and deck! Everyone gets a saunas robe for the stay (but bring your own slippers or flip flops!). There's a big sauna area with different temperature dry saunas, steam sauna, and even infrared sauna, cold room, and plunge pool. I loved how there were showers and towels available everywhere. And heads-up, it's a "textile free" area and coed-- meaning you take off your robe but can keep a towel on if you'd like, but you're sharing the space with men and women. Gym was big with a weight rack, free weights, cardio machines, and a dance studio. Since there isn't AC, it can get a little stuffy. === We only had one encounter where we felt unwelcome-- a lady told us we weren't allowed to sit and dine for breakfast because we were wearing our spa robes (even though we saw others doing the same thing without issues the whole week we were there). Her demeanor was a little off and we felt singled out. :( Aside from that, we reveled in the warm hospitality and really enjoyed all the amenities and dining the whole week. Definitely a great choice for a relaxing getaway... highly recommend checking them out!

Yelp
Excellent service. Wonderful food. Skillful spa team. My family could not have been happier staying here for 4 days. So much for my sons to do. Our only regret is that we didn't book this for a week! The only minor critique is that the adult only space on the lake is so large and the family area is too small.

Yelp
My favorite alpine hotel! I love coming to Hotel Krallerhof in Leogang. What brought us to Leogang in the first place was the high-end Krallerhof, a 4 1/2 star hotel. Austrian hospitality at its finest!
