We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Kria. The room albeit a bit small was appointed well enough for us. The staff was lovely and very helpful. One neat thing about the hotel was the onsite game room where they have a pool table, ping pong, air hockey and dart board.

The rooms were very well appointed, the view was beautiful, and the staff were exceptionally pleasant. The included breakfast was excellent, and the bar offered a great selection; the drinks were expertly prepared.

We got one of the suites, very nice. Had a tub and two TVs (one was broken, but hopefully they see this post as I forgot to tell them). The room was HOT, so pack light pajamas and open a window. Breakfast was simple but enjoyable. It was nice that it was located right in town, there are local restaurants, shopping, and grocery options.

We stayed here for two nights.
Rooms were very comfortable and had everything you would need. Games room with table tennis tables etc. The restaurant had beautiful food! Good buffet selection too.
Walking distance to everything in town including horse riding center, Iceland wear clothes shop, cafes, pizzeria etc.
Big plus - I had to speak to a Dr even though it was out of hours due to BP issues. They helped me speak to a local Dr and I was seen within 30 mins. Thanks to the staff for helping.

Very nice hotel. Not much of a view but not many in Vik have it. Very close to our adventures. Katla cave pick up directly across the street. Good was ok. Lounge and happy nice. Met nice couples. Not all hotels have that b

The rooms had an amazing view, and breakfast was good. We also had dinner there twice and it was actually quite good — especially considering how hard it is to find good food in Iceland.
The staff was great and everything was very clean. They’re definitely missing a jacuzzi… that would make it a top-tier hotel.

Once inside, a lovely hotel with great staff, a good bar and excellent dinner options.
Book a room with a mountain view; quiet and good viewing and ideal for seeing the auroras.
The hotel fronts the main ring road and, sadly for the hotel, there's a lot of development on the other side of the road which interferes with the view.
There is a good bar with cocktails for pre dinner. Dinner is excellent, with great service. The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful and go way beyond. Easy walking access to the town and beach and a short drive to many other sites. If travelling in winter download the Safe Travel app to keep an eye on the roads... the mountain pass does close!!

The good:- Breakfast was very good!- Room and bed was warm.- hot water shower works almost instantly.- Netflix and Amazon Prime available on the TV.Can be improved:- toilet slide door emited loud screeching sound which was annoying.- poor sound isolation between floors, we stayed on the ground floor and we could hear stomping the whole night. We feedback this to the hotel staff but was just given a “I cannot do anything about it” face and a shoulder shrug which clearly indicated they did not have the intention to do anything about it. - phone in the room was not working, staff had to reboot it as they said it’s a common issue.- the air vent in the bathroom stopped moving after sometime, was told to turn it off and on again to make it work again. - we checked in the same time as another couple at the reception, we overheard that they got a complementary room upgrade from the standard room (same as us). We asked if we would be upgraded as well, staff just told us that it depends on the amount we paid for the room. But clearly we booked the same standard room?Overall:Room rate was on the high side and much was expected but the condition of the room and service were under delivered.
