Hotel Krone Thun

This place was simply amazing. The room was very clean, quiet, and private, with a lovely inner yard view. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The renovated Rathaus adds incredible character and charm to the stay. There is a nice restaurant in the property and a bar nearby. One of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!

Friendly staff as soon as you walk through the door. Amazing room over looking the river. Two restaurants both excellent Chinese and Grill. Hotel in the centre two v good daily restaurants a few mins away. Everywhere spotless. Shops few mins away. Highly recommend this Hotel.

We had a week stay in this wonderful hotel.|The location of the Hotel KRONE THUN was ideal. Close to the train station and close to all the beautiful areas of Thun.|Our room was one of the suites and it had a a lovely outlook into the square which was especially beautiful at night. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was very quiet. The room and bathroom was kept spotlessly.|Breakfast was plentiful|All the staff at the Hotel Krone went out of their way to make our stay memorable.|Thank you Hotel Krone for making our Swiss holiday special.

We stayed for 5 wonderful nights in the Romantic Suite at Hotel Krone Thun with our toddler, and it was an absolute delight. The suite offered a bright and warm ambiance with a cozy sitting area perfect for relaxing. The open experience shower in the modern bathroom added a touch of luxury to our stay. The room was beautifully appointed with air conditioning, a room safe, flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi, ensuring both comfort and convenience. The hotel itself is charming and rich with history, perfectly situated in the heart of Thun’s Old Town right by the River Aare, with stunning views of the town hall square and easy access to local attractions. The staff were exceptionally lovely and attentive, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The central location was fantastic for exploring Thun, with charming shops and restaurants just steps away. Overall, everything about our experience at Hotel Krone was amazing, and we highly recommend it for families or anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Thun.

Excellent stay! The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful; we were able to leave our luggage at the front desk when we arrived in the morning; texted us when room was ready; great location to historic district (Thun Castle, Aare Riverfront, train depot) All very walkable! Situated on a charming plaza. Rooms were well designed and comfortable! Breakfast (not included) was well priced, , self serve, delicious variety and efficient wait staff to help if needed. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Nice clean room, love the shower pressure. Beautiful area, many restaurants, markets... within walking distance. Expect to pay premium prices for food everywhere in Switzerland.

We stayed at the Hotel Krone in Thun this past August, and we absolutely loved it! Right in the heart of the town, it was the perfect base—just steps away from all the sights, shops, and charm Thun has to offer. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier, and our room was a dream: spotless, stylish, and wonderfully modern. An unforgettable stay!

Unfortunately I didn’t get to stay at this beautiful hotel as plans changed dramatically. I had to cancel and the hotel staff went out of the way to make me happy. If the hotel is half as nice the staff this place is Heaven.

Great location. Our room had the most beautiful view of the river . Very stylish interior . The staff was extra helpful and extremely helpful . Can't wait to be back in winter . 6/6/24

The Hotel Krone was simply fantastic. We drove from Zurich to Thun and only had one night to stay at this fabulous hotel. It is directly on the water front, shops, restaurants, and cafes are all at your fingertips... it's a matter of choosing what you want to do, where you want to eat, or grab a drink. It is also located right next to the famous castle of Thun which we could see from our bedroom window. It was pricey but it was a splurge for our family. The service was amazing, the location superb. We were able to park behind the hotel even though the parking lot was full, otherwise we would have had to take our car to the public lot several blocks away. Farmer's Market greeted us in the center square as we checked out. This was a wonderful surprise as we were able to get fresh flowers, cheeses, produce, etc. for our continuing trip to Beatenberg. Yes it is expensive, but it was worth it. Delightful breakfast is included with your stay and given how expensive everything is in Switzerland, the meal would cost approx 70fr. for 4. It makes me feel like we got a deal. : )
