Hotel Krone Tübingen

Perfect location right in the centre of Tübingen, plenty of options for eating and drinking. Small car park but we managed to find a space ok. Family room was clean and spacious with comfy bed and sofa bed. Staff were friendly and attentive. The highlight of the stay was the breakfasts - amazing! So much choice and high quality food and presentation. It was even re-stocked close to the end of the service which was great for us as we were having a lazy morning. We had an early flight and asked for the breakfast boxes - WOW, I have never seen anything like it! A perfect end to a perfect stay, thank you!

11/10 charm and character. Since 1885 for a reason. Granny candy when you check in. Great breakfast don’t forget to spoon up on the raspberry jam w your croissant. Wild diorama art. Apple TV. Sauna. Central location. Great service. Nice rooms. Come on it’s the Hotel Krone: stay there.

The Family Suite is perfect for families- it is 2 separate rooms that are at the end of a hallway behind a separate door that locks. Both rooms have large balconies which is a nice touch as well as a refrigerator. We also had a double room which included a very small kitchenette area which was also nice. Parking behind the hotel is tight although we only had 1 night where we had to park at the municipal lot a few minute walk away. Breakfast was wonderful including hot and cold options. A wonderful stay and we are very glad we selected Hotel Krone!

We stayed here for two nights in early December. The hotel is located literally just around the corner from the Hauptbanhof to the south. Likewise, the Altstadt is just a few minutes’ walk to the north, across the river.||We were fortunate to stay in the “grand suite,” which was a large room at the front of the building with a seating area, a wet bar, and then a sleeping area with a large bed. The bathroom was large and spacious, with plenty of shelves for storage. The shower was part of the tub, with one having to step over the rim into the tub. Amenities included a large TV, a good wifi signal, and beautiful art installations on the walls. One neat feature was a computer tablet that one could use to contact the hotel staff, and they were prompt to respond to our requests.||Our room rate included breakfast, which was served in a nice conference room at the rear of the ground floor level. Breakfast consisted of a typical continental style setup, with cereals, fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, etc. There were also hot options such as eggs, sausage, and bacon. Service was attentive, providing coffee upon request. One evening we had dinner at the attached restaurant, Ludwigs, and the food (modern international cuisine) was good, with attentive service. There was also a “candy bar” in the lobby if one wanted a quick sweet snack.||All staff we interacted with were pleasant and helpful.||The room was quiet at night, with the sleeping area being away from the window and there being little traffic after nightfall. There was some noise from rooms above us, but that never lasted for long. We had no trouble walking about at night, with the area being clean and safe. However, one must always be aware of their surroundings when traveling. Also of note, while the hotel did have an elevator, there were stairs from the sidewalk up to the front door, and again from the corridor into our room, so that may be an issue for those with mobility issues.||Overall, an excellent and modern hotel in a great location. Highly recommended.

Location and service, the best; parking management and breakfast, the worst. Good hotel, great service, with no parking managemente system (it works like a public parking, no priority for clients at the hotel, and the light at the entry doesn't work fine, it could be red whith free parking espaces inside). Not all the staff in the breakfast speak english, and sometimes it's complicated to transmit your needs. The replenishment of out-of-stock breakfast items is very slow; it may happen that during the time you are there, an item is not restocked.

A lovely hotel, in a great position, very close to the train station, on the edge of the city. (A very short walk from the train & bus stations.) |We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting a friend in the area, & enjoying the chocolate market weekend, & all the city has to offer. |It's a beautiful city to walk around, & because of the narrow roads there are very few cars, which is an added bonus.|The hotel was stylish, comfortable, with very friendly staff who were happy & helpful, & our room was very quiet. (I'm a light sleeper, so it's important to me.) There's a nice selection of food at breakfast, but nothing on the hot trays that I was interested in unfortunately, but the cold selection had ample choice, & one day I ordered an omelette, which was very tasty, but massive! (I couldn't eat it all.) Ask staff what other food & drinks they provide that aren't out on the counter. Beware of the massive, tasty omelette! 😉We'd stay here again if we visited this lovely city. ||

A very nice hotel with very kind service. Next to station, and five minutes walk to the beautiful Altstadt. The Wellness is superb! I hope to revisit in Summer to have this nice view on Stiftskirche St. Georg from rooftop!!

We love the hotel for many reasons!! The staff, the cleanliness, the sauna, the breakfast! We stay in the family rooms every few months and enjoy each visit very much! ❤️
