Hotel Kumala Pantai

Located in legian. I enjoyed my stay. Although an older place, the rooms were really clean and comfortable. The gardens are stunning you feel like you’re in a tropical jungle. Massive pools. The staff were just wonderful always happy to help out me and my baby as we travelled solo. They played with him and held him whilst I had to quickly do something. Breakfast staff were lovely. Reception accommodating. I asked each night for bottles of water for my baby milk and they came quickly. They clean the rooms well too. I think for the price, and you won’t something with a semi luxury feel and comfortable this is the place. Also great for children.

Nice hotel in a fantastic location. Easy access to beach, shops and restaurants. 2 x pools one with swim up pool bar and another that also has a bar but not swim up. Staff are friendly. Our rooms were old and the hotel and rooms are in need of cosmetic upgrades, but the bed and pillows were comfy and the balcony was spacious with a great view of the pool. The bathrooms could have been cleaner. I feel like it’s basically a surface clean that is done and not a thorough clean. The back of the toilet had not been cleaned properly for a while and there was hair in the corner of the shower when we first arrived so the shower had not been cleaned properly. Breakfast daily had everything you could want, egg station, cereal and hot breakfast option with the restaurant overlooking the beach. Food and drinks around the pool were OK. Nothing amazing but hit the spot. We tried Pizza, club sandwich and chicken satay. The only feedback was there was no atmosphere around the pool. It was very quiet and I’m sure people probably like a nice chill, quiet pool but a bit of background music around the main pool would have been nice. Overall a great stay, great value for money and I would recommend this hotel and stay again. The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning and immaculately maintained. Location is 5 star, staff are friendly and pools are fabulous.

I love this hotel and always found the rooms spacious with the usual facilities that international hotels have but with a Balinese influence. When one walks from the busy streets surrounding the hotel there seems to be a quiet presence that surrounds you. Great pools, one with swim up bar, superb buffet breakfast and prices in the restaurant are reasonable and include a range of western and Asian choices. It's just a short stroll across a road to the beach to watch the sunset.

Perfectly located close to any place you would need to go to even if you live in bali. And of course if you come from abroad right there on the beach a perfect spot to land after a long flight. The gardens are impeccable the staff remembers you from 20 years ago and the music they provide is so beautiful as well. The breakfast buffet is fabulous with indoor outdoor dining choices right by the beach.

What can I say…felt like home and I wanted to book again straightaway! Hotel Kumala Pantai felt like an oasis, the gardens are gorgeous, pools are large, staff are welcoming, rooms are a good size and so are the balconies. Good priced hotel. Came here as a couple, hopefully next time with our family. This hotel hasn’t seen the end of me!

Such a great place to stay! Right in the middle of everything but you can’t hear any of it once you’re in the resort. Rooms were really nice and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast every morning was good and the pools were amazing. Loved staying here and would visit again!

This hotel gives off such a warm and welcoming vibe. The staff are kind, caring, and very attentive you really can’t go wrong here. We stayed in the two-bedroom apartment at the front of the hotel. While it’s a bit of a walk to breakfast and the pool, we honestly didn’t mind the rooms were spacious, clean, and really comfortable for our family of four. With two great pools, it’s ideal for older kids, and the location is perfect. Everything is within walking distance, and the beach is just across the road. We especially loved the beach bar right across from the hotel Romy was amazing and made us feel so welcome. The kids were thrilled with the turtles and fish, and we all enjoyed the meals. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, and lunches and dinners were great. A couple of small things to note: during busy times, there aren’t quite enough sun loungers or casual seating by the pool. And the outdoor lounging area could be cleaned more often, especially with squirrel droppings around. But honestly, those are minor things in an otherwise relaxing and memorable stay.

This is a lovely resort, traditional Balinese and great location opposite the beach. The pools are fantastic, offering great shade. Service is great, this is our 2nd stay, highly recommend. Good price
