This hotel has an excellent location close to the waterfront, city and transport links. The food quality is of a high standard, particularly at night. French classic dishes are really excellent eg seafood bisque, chicken in wine, and creme brulee. The wine was also excellent. The self serve breakfast is of a good standard but you must get in at least 30 minutes before the stipulated closing time, as this is when items are removed. The atrium, restaurant and bar area do transport you to Paris. There is a pleasant lounge for the use of guests. The rooms have everything you need, are kept clean and there is plenty of hot water. I stayed in a small double and it was comparable to staying in a ship's cabin regarding size. The room was on the ground floor facing outside and got very little natural light. It would be possible to up upgrade to a better standard of room. Service was good apart from one waiter who was astonishingly badly behaved. This was compensated for by other staff members. If you are staying for more than three nights I think spending the money on a room upgrade would be worthwhile.

The hotel was filled with beauty. The awesome wonderful and very friendly staff went out of their way to make sure they helped you at any time you needed them. Loved that the hotel was clean, always. ! The rooms were very small,, but spotless, just to be warned. The area and location was perfect. A ten minute walk through the garden to the waterfront. Try to get a reservation in THE GRAND HOTEL, on the water, for a Delightful and very reasonable and delicious afternoon tea. The upscale restaurants, had great prices for their meals, all over town. For those who have trouble walking, TAXI PRICES,, were dirt cheap. Wish we had know this at the start of our two week trip. The staff became friends,, "Thank You" Kings Garden, for making us want to definitely come back and enjoy. We miss you all. Hugs & blessings,, Melanie & Rachel

My husband and I stayed six nights in October, 2025, and it was a marvelous experience. It's conveniently located so we could walk almost everywhere. Kiki, the concierge, greeted us warmly, familiarized us with the property, and led us to our room: spacious, gorgeous, with a fabulous chandelier, comfy pillows and bed linens, and a beautiful view of the park. She and the other staff, up front and throughout the hotel, were gracious and efficient. Last, the restaurant. Dinner is lovely - we ate there twice - but their breakfast is arguably one of the best we've ever encountered. We ate there Every Single Day.

Kings Garden Hotel was a perfect fit for my daughter and I. The location was in an excellent location. Stepping out the door into the garden and a 5 minute walk to the water front. Or the busses across the street in the garden area. The price of taxis was dirt cheap. Sure saved on our legs. The hotel rooms were spotless clean at all times. Kings Garden was like staying in a grand old historic hotel. Beautiful and breathtaking. The breakfast had many items to choose from. Dinner menu was very good. We spent evenings in the bar. The staff made you feel right at home. Helping out at any time,, going out of their way to make sure you needed nothing. We left after our 2 week stay with new friends. We will be back. Thank you all for giving us memories of a life time.

The King's Garden Hotel was the perfect place to stay on our trip to Stockholm. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were transported to another world. The restaurant area felt like a French courtyard, with balconies overhead and the largest chandelier you've ever seen. We were greeted by Kiki and she was so friendly and welcoming. The included breakfast was great, with lots of delicious choices. Our rooms were so nice, charming, cozy and very comfortable. The hotel is tucked away on a side street, but once you leave to go see the sights, you are within walking distance of just about everything! We stayed for 5 nights and were very sad to leave. I would highly recommend The King's Garden Hotel, and we will most definitely be staying there on our next trip to Stockholm!

We were privileged to have four nights in the stunning Junior Suite overlooking Kungstradgarden. We could not have asked for a better room: spacious, comfortable, delightful. We agree with everything other reviewers are saying, such as the amazing and delicious breakfast, gorgeous restaurant and bar areas, stunning and quirky building in a fantastic location. For me, though, the best thing of all was the staff. A particular shout out to Kiki and the other gentleman on Reception (I did not get his name) who were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming, making us feel like valued guests rather than just tourists. Restaurant staff were also lovely, ready with a smile and a hello each morning. I loved our experience, and will recommend this hotel to anyone I know planning a visit to Stockholm.

Google
The two most important features for me now are location and service. This hotel met both criteria. Walkable to all sites, but also close to metro for distant locations. Service for cleanliness, breakfast providers and Kiki at the front desk were all friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay so enjoyable. Highly recommended.

The staff was amazing, including the reception staff, which got me in to a room early, found me a perfect room when I asked for a quiet one, and were great modifying my reservation when I had to leave early. The room was great, quiet, and I slept well. Location was perfect--walkable to the train station, tourist sites, and good restaurants. Breakfast was good.

Yelp
Lovely hotel in walking distance of the flea market, the opera, the wonderful big Food Hall. And a Uniqlo is a block away in case you are freezing and need sweaters or a jacket ( which I was). The breakfast is amazing - a huge buffet of things including eggs, bacon, ham, flatbread, yogurt, fruit, cereal, meatballs, juice.... On and on. Really generous and in a lovely dining room. We ate dinner in the dining room one night too. Good but not great food but wonderful to just go upstairs after dinner and no transport needed. Our room is large and really lovely. Comfortable bed, really nice bathroom, spacious for a European hotel. Front desk staff is pleasant and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
What an exceptional combination of old-world charm and modern comfort at the Kingsgarden Hotel! It's clear that the staff applies genuine care to every angle of a guest's stay. First, you're met with gracious hospitality at the check-in desk, where concierge Kiki brings seamless service. For our particular visit, our tour company had made a small mistake with the booking, and Kiki took it in utter stride, instantly fixing the issue in our favor. Next, there are the well-curated amenities not seen at most hotels (thoughtful touches in the room include sleeping and vanity kits, endless Kleenex, plentiful custom toiletries, multiple dimmer switches even in the bathroom and on the chandelier, a shoe horn, and a large umbrella). There are a variety of tastefully appointed dining and sitting spaces in the interior-courtyard brasserie, and we found ample arrays of fresh foods in the dining room each morning, including delicious cheeses, pastries, and ripe bananas. Finally, there is this hotel's location -- in walking distance to everything a tourist could want to visit (the palace and historical sightseeing areas, museums, dining, trains and trams, restaurants, and more). Absolutely outstanding!

Yelp
This was an excellent choice in every way. So comfortable and quiet for a great sleep. Outstanding staff. Breakfast complete with smoked salmon, meatballs etc etc etc. And wonderful pastries! The ambient setting is beautiful, as if one were dining outdoors. There are comfortable seating options outside the front door where one can relax and enjoy unlimited cappuccinos. The location is 1 minute subway stop from Stockholm Central Train but I preferred taking the T Central Tram/Bus minutes longer, which stops next door at King's Garden Park, my favorite place to cool down with a cold beer while watching happy children play in the large shallow pool with water geysers a plenty. The old scenic town and the upscale shopping areas are just minutes away. A day trip using public ferries to Vaxholm can't be beat. The deeply discounted senior 24 hr transportation pass (110 Kr) is a wonderful bargain. Truly a fantastic two days!

Yelp
This was my favorite hotel during my trip in Sweden. I loved the decor and the chandelier in my room. The free breakfast was delicious and had a lot of good options. The staff were friendly and flexible too! The hotel is across a mall and close enough to Gamla Stan. There's a few rooftop restaurants/bars in the area that you should check out if you stay here.

Yelp
Pro: - The best breakfast buffet I ever had. They have Salmon and Herring in the morning - The gym is great to get a quick workout - Staff are lovely and excellent - The location is about ~5 mins to the Gamla stan (old town). But it is in a quiet street, so it is quiet - The bed is very comfortable - The shower is great Con: - I got the smallest room, and it was tiny, I can barely walk through the walk path. Overall, other than the room is small (there are bigger rooms), I loved everything about this hotel.

Yelp
Great little hotel tucked in the center of Stockholm. I really like the location, the cute decorations and the friendly staff. Rooms: I got the smallest room with a full sized bed, and it feels pretty spacious and luxurious compared to European standards. There's a friggin chandelier hanging over my bed!!! I feel like I've made it :P (Even if I really don't need a chandelier over my bed). Really comfy beds with down blankets (that have seen cold Stockholm winters). Bathrooms: The bathroom is big enough with enough counter space. The shower is really weirdly designed so that the water pours directly down and you can't open and close the shower door without it going under the shower. You also can't really get in the shower without getting totally doused because of the awkward door location. It gets easy to make the whole bathroom wet because of the awkward design. Breakfast Buffet: There's a free breakfast buffet. I was overwhelmed by all the yummy options before I even saw the second room full of food. They have one room with water/juice/tea/coffee, pastries and toasts. Then another room with meat, cheese and smoked salmon platters, yogurt, eggs, and a variety of smoothies! I was in heaven! Restaurant: There's also a restaurant inside the hotel. If I eat there, I'll update my review. It's where breakfast is served, so I can say that I sat in the area, and it's really pretty, with a spiral staircase and elegant tables. Wifi: Free wifi for guests. Quirks: You need to put your keycard into a key holder near your bedroom door for the any of the lights to turn on. Be sure to shove it down until you hear it click, or you'll be in the dark for some time! Once I figured out how to use it, it was easy, but there was no sign or label on the thing saying that THIS IS WHERE YOU PUT YOUR KEY CARD TO TURN ON THE LIGHTS. For ignorant Americans like me, that was confusing. I hope they put a little label on these things for people. Concierge: The concierges have all been really nice. I was a little surprised that they could not answer my question about a dinner suggestion in Gamla stan (old town just across the bridge). Thankfully, I Yelped ahead and told them the places I was considering (to which they said "They'd heard of them.") It made me wonder if I will have trouble asking for touristy suggestions the next day, or if they're simply not foodies. It's surprising they don't have a list of a couple places they recommend in the different neighborhoods, or are they they only allowed to recommend the restaurant inside the hotel...? Final review: I'll absolutely stay here again! It's a little cheaper than the expensive hotels, but was still a splurge for me. It felt luxurious and elegant. I'm glad I chose it considering it's in the middle of town and was easy to get to from the airport and I can walk everywhere without taking the metro or a bus.

Yelp
Such a lovely hotel! I booked online after deciding to extend my stay in Stockholm. The decor was so beautiful, with a neutral palate. Everything was updated and new and it was impeccably clean. The bed was a cloud and the dual shower was amazing. My room even had a view of the courtyard below. After an amazing nights stay, I woke up to grab the complimentary breakfast. The buffet had endless options: fruit, eggs, bread, juices, yogurt with granola, fruit, cheese, meats, baked goods, and any espresso drink you'd like. Such a lovely way to start the morning. Can't wait to stay here again my next time in Stockholm.

Yelp
Super good food and great service from the staff. I would recommend the minute steak that was absolutely great!

Yelp
Service was excellent, the breakfast (included with your stay) is fantastic, and the location works perfectly for anyone looking for a walkable location. No outstanding views, to my knowledge, but the room quality was great and the proximity to main shopping and sites more than makes up for it. Particularly grateful for the concierge and reception desk services. I felt that everyone there went above and beyond to provide great service.
