Hotel Kynaitha

Although the Hotel is not 5 Star in terms of Hotel Categories, it ‘is’ in terms of service. Warm and welcoming Andreas and his family & team do a first class job at making your stay a delightful experience. They have a good choice of rooms, an unrivalled position adjacent to the town square, with shops restaurants and even a περίπτερο,(Kiosk) just a few steps away. I have stayed at the Hotel 3 times, twice in the same room because it has a fireplace✔️

We spent a long winter weekend at the Kynaitha Hotel and found everything exceptional. Wonderful breakfast, helpful staff, and excellent, quiet rooms are the hallmark of a good hotel in Greece, and the Kynathia has all of those on top of a truly excellent downtown location. Good choice for weekend or longer stay in this beautiful region of Greece.

The hotel is situated in the very center of Kalavrita, which is great. Also, despite its central position, it is quiet. There is a lot of parking space in front of the hotel.||I would like to point out that we didn't stay in the main building but in one of the apartments above the restaurant next door. Judging from the pictures, the rooms are equipped the same way.||The apartment was spacious, but with spartan decoration. For the price we paid (120,00€) you definitely expect more than just basic rooms-to-let furniture. The provided towels were nice and new, but the bed linen definitely needs upgrading. Again, for the price we paid, one would expect at least nice warm duvets (especially since Kalavrita is a winter holiday destination) instead of worn bed covers which cannot keep you warm at night. Two pillows per person must be considered a standard nowadays. There was one extra pillow for 4 of us.||We had some problems with the heating, it seems that it wasn't working at all hours but most of all, the radiator in the main bedroom was very noisy, so it was like sleeping next to a small waterfall.||Generally, the room was clean, but after a closer look there was much to improve - on the balcony, there were cigarettes on the floor and the bathtub needed a good scrubbing.||The breakfast was rather nice, with satisfying choice of food. The general atmosphere was cold, we weren't once asked if everything is OK or if we need something. ||We would consider staying at Kynaitha again only if the price was much lower.

The hotel is located in the center of town build with big respect to the local Architecture. The owners are very friendly and willing to help with local information. Our room was large with a walk in shower, small refrigerator and tv with a view of the central square. Parking is right in front of the hotel and almost everything is within walking distance. The recommendations of the owner for local restaurants were excellent. Breakfast was plentiful including local products, homemade marmalade’s and cooked to order fresh eggs. The local yogurt was to die for. The bathroom exhaust fan was a bit noisy and needs replacement. Beds were comfortable. The trip with the cog train (odontotos) was an excellent experience. Will definitely visit again someday. ||||

We spent a very peaceful evening in Kalavrita after the rack railroad ride up the Vouraikos canyon from Diakopto. The Kinaitha Hotel is over the top charming. Family run by a very polite Greek couple who obviously take pride in there hotel. The breakfast was the best we have experienced in any of our stays. Quiet, clean, safe, and very peaceful.

I was really perplexed how many stars to give this hotel. The rooms are excellent for the price - large, comfortable, nicely decorated. And the management couldn't be nicer! The breakfast buffet is large, although it doesn't have fresh fruit. The location is superb. ||But ... the bed was rock-hard. And we enjoy firm beds! ||If a really hard bed works for you, I would highly recommend this hotel. If not, perhaps you should stay elsewhere.

Wonderful stay! Excellent last minute booking! The family that owns and runs the hotel were lovely. Triple room was very comfortable, airconditioning excellent, nice balcony and view. Excellent breakfast with many fresh and house made options for savory and sweet tastes. Hotel is charming and located right in the center of Kalavryta - near square and many tavernas and near the excellent Kalavryta holocaust museum. Parking was not a problem either.

This little hotel is excellent! It is quaint, true to the Kalavryta style and run by an amazing family that truly live their business . The breakfast is out of this work and literally the best I have ever eaten as it is a buffet with hand made cakes,pies and traditional pastries by Mrs Efi who co owns this lovely hotel with her husband Mr Andreas who does an amazing job running the front of the house. Eggs are cooked to your liking, served with lovely baked bread and freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast All staff is so polite , the rooms are spotless, mattresses comfy, warm, how water power shower and quiet and it is located right in the heart of Kalavryta center overlooking the beautiful central square. We can’t recommend this place enough. A true gem.
