"At the edge of Forcalquier in the Luberon, La Bastide Saint Georges offers a tranquil base among olive groves and gardens. Its rooms and suites range from simple doubles to private pool retreats, many with terraces or views across the surrounding countryside. Interiors draw on stone, wood, and natural fabrics, creating a connection to Provence without the excess. A spa and restaurant complete the bastide, making it as welcoming for a weekend stop in the Luberon as for a longer stay devoted to rest and exploration." - Tablet Hotels

We had a lovely stay at the Bastide. While we had a few hiccups while checking in, they immediately addressed the issues and comped us some free wine, which was nice. Our bed was very comfortable, our terrace was lovely, and the room was well sized. The grounds are lovely, as is the pool, and service was great (big thank you to Madeline!!) We would definitely stay again.

Great hotel on calming & relaxing location. Stopover from North Spain and we could not have asked for a better place. Very friendly family run hotel, soothing interior design, great restaurant on site and pool area ! we did not use the spa as we had fantastic weather and spend our days in the outdoor facilities

We had the pleasure of spending a few days in Fort Calquier at this absolutely charming hotel. From the warm welcome and the professionalism of the staff, to the comfort of the rooms and the attention to detail – everything was flawless. The atmosphere is authentically Provençal, peaceful and relaxing, with stunning gardens and breathtaking surroundings. The restaurant is a true culinary experience. The refined cuisine, using local ingredients and full of creativity, deserves the highest praise. The service was impeccable, and every meal felt like a special occasion. It’s the kind of place you instantly want to come back to – not just for the beauty of the region, but for the genuine sense of hospitality and care for guests. Highly recommended to anyone looking for peace, elegance, and a complete Provence experience.

The hotel atmosphere is pleasant. The setting is large and beautiful. The room and bathroom spacious, with a good shower and no water spilling on the floors as it happens in most hotels. The lighting in the room is good and there is a flat screen TV and air conditioned. However, the Wi-Fi was not operative and a message on my Tablet indicated that there was no Wi-Fi connection for lack of payment. It was restored after a whole day without it. |The reception service was good, the room clean, nicely decorated and the bed comfortable.|The breakfast was also good and items replenished as needed. There is a Spa requiring extra payment. We did not use it.|There is also a large restaurant in the premises, nicely decorated and serving tasty dishes and with good service. Be warned that it is pricey! |Except for the absence of the Wi-Fi and the air conditioned which was not yet operative in the beginning of May, although the temperature was reaching 25 degrees Celsius, it was a wonderful place, but I would be hesitant to recommend it if you do not have a car, since it is not located in town. To go to town, a taxi is necessary, which good a disadvantage to many, in view that it is a town with 5000 people only and not many cabs. Moreover, they only offer two bottles of water in the room on your first day there. They do not replenish when cleaning the room, otherwise one has to use the ones in the mini fridge offered at inflated prices.

We stayed for a night and loved it! The owners of the place are absolutely fantastic people, and the staff is very friendly too. The area is incredible, such a great place to reconnect with the nature and feel the peacefulness again. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner were delicious! The only thing I could think of that would be nice to improve is the restaurant should be more considerable of other nationalities. My husband and I are Muslims and we were served amouse-bouche with ham🙈 this is the only thing worth improving. Regardless, we loved our stay and will definitely come back🥰

The hotel and grounds are beautiful and our room was wonderful with a small terrace. The pool area had plenty of chairs and we tried the small warm indoor pool & jacuzzi which was very relaxing. My partner had the breakfast which he rated very highly and we had dinner which was stunning.||However, downside was the fact there was no-one to be seen at all apart from the cleaner. Nobody came down to see if we wanted drinks, or check if everything was ok. As for peace and quiet, this was ruined by a family of 4 adults and one child using the pool and grounds as a running track, bombing each other in the pool, kicking a football close to my sun lounger, playing badminton and shouting and cheering. Our one day of relaxing which this stay was for, was completely ruined. No-one from the hotel came out to speak to them. On complaining, it turned out they were not even guests. Seemed funny that they knew exactly where everything was and came fully equipped with towels etc. so must have done the same before. We were told that our room was upgraded as a consolation, which was funny, as we booked a superior double and that’s what we were given. No consolation.||On sitting on the terrace later, a fire alarm went off somewhere in the garden. Again no staff to be seen. It wasn’t until a guest appeared, holding a child who headed for the reception to find someone, did the receptionist follow her to sort the problem out. This is a serious safety issue. ||We spent a lot of money on 2 nights for the facilities and guarantee of peace and relaxation, which we didn’t get, completely ruined by free loaders being uallowed in, who, I am sure will tell all their friends to do the same. ||Management take heed.||Very disappointed.

We unfortunately only got to spend one night at La Bastide Saint Georges but wish it could have been longer.||||The hotel is just amazing. Wonderful location and spectacular grounds. Walking distance to Forcalquier which is a really pretty town.||||We stayed in Amandine which was essentially like a mini villa on the end of a terrace as part of a Voyage Prive deal. It looks brand new so I think these rooms are a recent edition. A small terrace with table and chairs, small area of grass and two deck chairs. The room as air con, large double bed, TV, Wi-Fi, tea/coffee facilities, fridge and a huge wet room shower area. Really nice.||||Great pool area and large area of grounds with various sun beds etc.||||The restaurant area is amazing and we had our welcome cocktail on the terrace with lovely views over the surrounding countryside.||||Breakfast (also in the restaurant area) is superb. Loads of choice at the buffet from sweet to savoury and runs until 1030.||||Staff were lovely and really helpful.||||There was some confusion about the pool (heated) it seems it opens at 0900 technically but can potentially be opened earlier by prior request (which it was during our stay).||||My partner had a 30 minute massage which was very good apparently.||||If I was being exceptionally pedantic my only gripe was at checkout when we noticed the price of the massage was €60 and not €55 as previously advised prior to our stay. It appears the employee sent us the tariff for last season via email so an innocent mistake. The monetary difference was immaterial but out of principle it would have been a nice gesture for the hotel to acknowledge the error on their part and honour the lower price.||||We will definitely return, one night is simply not long enough to do it justice.
