Hotel La Bisaccia (Baja Sardinia, Sardinia) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In Baja Sardinia, near the island’s northern tip, stands the Hotel La Bisaccia, a classic-styled resort with a view of the bay and the La Maddalena archipelago. Its 120 rooms and suites are divided between three buildings that vary in size and age; while the Nelson Lodge is the newest of the three, the style is consistent across all of them — the better ones have views out to sea from private terraces. An outdoor pool, a beach club, and a fleet of mountain bikes are among the outdoor diversions, and a piano bar and the expansive La Terrazza restaurant keep guests watered and fed." - Tablet Hotels

Lovely quiet hotel in a beautiful location. Stunning views and a short, easy walk to the main hub with restaurants, bars etc.|We stayed for a week in mid-September and wished we had longer, with temperatures being 25-28C and barely a cloud in the sky all week. ||The hotel is very clean and comfortable, maybe a little dated in decor but you could argue this adds to its quaint Sardinian-ness. It looks like rooms are gradually being updated as some had smart new doors on them. Our ‘superior’ room was perfectly adequate: bed comfortable, spacious modern bathroom with a great walk in shower, sea view, fridge, balcony. The cleanliness of this hotel deserves a special note, as everything was spotless. The room was serviced daily, which makes it so nice to return to after a day out. |The breakfast buffet had everything you could wish for to suit all nationalities, all fresh and well cooked. The pool area was lovely, with ample sun loungers and towels provided by the hotel. The private beach area felt like a real treat - sun loungers/umbrella and towels provided for hotel guests - with clean, soft sand and calm, clear waters to cool off in. In high season it’s probably different but we had no issues with getting loungers on the beach or by the pool. |Altogether, I would definitely recommend Hotel La Bisaccia for a peaceful, relaxing holiday in beautiful Baia Sardinia.

Lovely hotel with wonderful view from room 109. Food very good with differant menu each night. Breakfasts excelent with plenty of choice. Hotel and surounding area very clean and tidy. Easy walk to other eating places and shops. Beach a short strole away. |Mid day snacks and pool bar quite expensive. Whole island quiet and scenic, with not a lot of traffic on most roads, make driving and exploring easy.

Mixed feelings. The hotel’s location is its greatest strength as its right on a beautiful beach with free parking and easy access by car to nearby villages and other beaches. The pool area also has stunning views, and breakfast was decent. A few staff members, like Emmanuel and the gentleman in the white dinner jacket at breakfast, made the experience warmer and more personal. That said, the property is clearly dated. The rooms feel like they haven’t been updated since the 90s, with small showers, uncomfortable beds, and weak AC (though staff did provide a portable unit that worked well). Everything was clean, but the facilities are in need of refurbishment. Service was mixed… while some staff were lovely, others were less accommodating. For example, we had a small issue with requesting an extra pillow, which was eventually resolved (thank you Saber) but not smoothly. The extra pillow reeked of smoke however. Overall, there is charm to the place and the location is fantastic, but it doesn’t live up to the price point. It feels closer to a 3-star experience than what you’re paying for. With some investment and upgrades it could be a truly excellent destination.

We stayed 14/9/25 - 28/9/25 in room 516.|The negatives……Our room definitely needs a refurbish, both the bedroom and bathroom were very tired looking. The extractor fan was so noisy it sounded like it was going to die. Insufficient lighting in room - very dark. The only bin provided was a small one in the bathroom, we needed an additional bin in bedroom. Insufficient sockets.|The positives…..The hotel is in a fabulous location, the views from our balcony were amazing, as were the views from the pool area. The staff are a real credit to the hotel. Particularly the breakfast crew and the pool and bar staff. So friendly, but without being intrusive. Our board was bed and breakfast which was great. Comfy bed and pillows. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Something for everyone. Would have been nice if the plates at the omelette area were warmed as they were always cold. |Lovely big seawater pool. The towel/pool boy was lovely and always had time to exchange pleasant conversation. The entertainment was a pianist/singer every night, whilst he played some good music, it would have been nice to have had some variation as became very repetitive during our 2 weeks. Beautiful beach 2 min walk from hotel. Beautiful grounds with sun beds in various areas if you didn’t want to be around the pool. 5 min walk to the local eateries. Supermarket 15 min walk away which was very well stocked. Beware of extortionate taxi fares. We were quoted 50 euros each way to Porto Cervo marina which is a 10 min ride.

Very expensive and in need of restoration. We were lucky and had new rooms but other parts of hotel in need of help. We went for 10 days and we had to walk up a lot of steps to get to our rooms. Friends with us have difficulty walking and nowhere on website does it mention steps to rooms. There is a lift in main part of building but this is not mentioned on website. This totally spoiled the holiday. We would have booked elsewhere if we knew this in advance. The few restaurants in resort had over inflated prices and taxi costs were ridiculous. The breakfast at hotel definitely needs revamping, it was ok but definitely could be a lot better. We ate one night in hotel and food unfortunately was not of a great standard. My last comment is positive. The waitress in pool bar is brilliant and a couple of receptionists.

Just back from a 10 day stay here be warned this hotel is 3* at best . The hotel has a beautiful setting but that’s where the positivity ends : the hotel desperately needs a complete refurbishment and good maintenance. When making your room booking it’s difficult to understand what your room looks like or will be one of the few which I believe have been updated . We booked a junior suite , good size with reasonable view but again that’s where any positivity ends . Rooms extremely dated , shower over bath with shower curtain , a hair dryer on the wall which I last saw in the 80’s ! Extremely uncomfortable bed . Sofa covered with worn cover which looked really shabby . However house keeping was good with friendly staff . Breakfast had a reasonable choice but quality could be better . Mixed reviews for service and helpfulness of the staff Standouts were lovely waitress at pool bar and pool staff . A couple of reception staff were very unwelcoming and rude and unwilling to help with room upgrade etc . The local beach is a few minutes walk from hotel we found it absurd that the charged for front two rows of sun beds in hotel for the majority of our 10days they remained empty. The beach is lovely however Baia resort is very limited , restaurants serving very average pizza and pasta at inflated prices , taxis also charged excessive prices 50€ for very short journeys . I think Sardinia has much nicer places to offer with a more authentic experience . Our first visit left us pretty disappointed with overall experience

Just home 2 days ago and i cannot recommend this hotel enough!! Location is out of this world with fantastic views and the hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean. We stayed in room 107 and had a gorgeous sea view. Room was a great size with plenty of storage space and a gorgeous bathroom. We were half board, there is such a choice of food for breakfast and the poolside snacks at lunch were delicious. All the staff were lovely and friendly with a special shoutout to Marco, Fabio and all the staff at the poolside bar who couldn’t do enough to help you. I will 100% be booking to go back and stay here.

Very scenic location and beautiful grounds. The rooms are quite traditional with lovely tiles and very italian. The pool is a very good size and lots of loungers and umbrellas. There are some small beaches within the grounds but the main beach is a 5 minute walk, with beautiful clear water and white sand. The location is great too, tucked away but a short walk from the centre.
