Hotel La Bisaccia (Baja Sardinia, Sardinia) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In Baja Sardinia, near the island’s northern tip, stands the Hotel La Bisaccia, a classic-styled resort with a view of the bay and the La Maddalena archipelago. Its 120 rooms and suites are divided between three buildings that vary in size and age; while the Nelson Lodge is the newest of the three, the style is consistent across all of them — the better ones have views out to sea from private terraces. An outdoor pool, a beach club, and a fleet of mountain bikes are among the outdoor diversions, and a piano bar and the expansive La Terrazza restaurant keep guests watered and fed." - Tablet Hotels

If you're looking for a typical Radisson Blu experience, look somewhere else. This hotel is truly for people that want to feel and experience Italy. It's charming, cozy, yet luxurious. The staff was amazing, the food was great and the view was just spectacular. The architecture of the hotel makes it feel like it belongs there on the beachfront of Baja Sardinia. You feel like you're actually staying in an old Italian villa with history, not just another 4 or 5 star hotel full of people that just don't care that much. It was quiet, which makes it perfect to just reset and chill. Can't recommend this place enough!

Mixed feelings. The hotel’s location is its greatest strength as its right on a beautiful beach with free parking and easy access by car to nearby villages and other beaches. The pool area also has stunning views, and breakfast was decent. A few staff members, like Emmanuel and the gentleman in the white dinner jacket at breakfast, made the experience warmer and more personal. That said, the property is clearly dated. The rooms feel like they haven’t been updated since the 90s, with small showers, uncomfortable beds, and weak AC (though staff did provide a portable unit that worked well). Everything was clean, but the facilities are in need of refurbishment. Service was mixed… while some staff were lovely, others were less accommodating. For example, we had a small issue with requesting an extra pillow, which was eventually resolved (thank you Saber) but not smoothly. The extra pillow reeked of smoke however. Overall, there is charm to the place and the location is fantastic, but it doesn’t live up to the price point. It feels closer to a 3-star experience than what you’re paying for. With some investment and upgrades it could be a truly excellent destination.

Very expensive and in need of restoration. We were lucky and had new rooms but other parts of hotel in need of help. We went for 10 days and we had to walk up a lot of steps to get to our rooms. Friends with us have difficulty walking and nowhere on website does it mention steps to rooms. There is a lift in main part of building but this is not mentioned on website. This totally spoiled the holiday. We would have booked elsewhere if we knew this in advance. The few restaurants in resort had over inflated prices and taxi costs were ridiculous. The breakfast at hotel definitely needs revamping, it was ok but definitely could be a lot better. We ate one night in hotel and food unfortunately was not of a great standard. My last comment is positive. The waitress in pool bar is brilliant and a couple of receptionists.

We got back from Hotel La Bisaccia, Sardinia just over a week ago, three couples for a ten day holiday B&B. Our rooms were an uphill walk from the hotel and then up eight wide steps and then eighteen steep steps without a handrail and then a long pathway to our rooms. They were modern rooms but the view was a dirt track and grass, the balcony never got any sun. As my husband and I have mobility issues we asked to be moved three times without success, the hotel was always fully booked! We did see other people struggling too. We booked direct with the hotel and there was no mention of accessibility.||The cooked breakfast was was always cold, scrambled eggs, bacon etc. the chef cooked fried eggs one at a time so there was always a queue. The coffee was too strong and only warm.||One evening we stayed in the hotel for dinner, five of us had roast beef which was really tough and mostly inedible.||The pool bar was very expensive, also the toilet was down fourteen steps so difficult to access. The toilet in reception was down steps as well.

Just back from a 10 day stay here be warned this hotel is 3* at best . The hotel has a beautiful setting but that’s where the positivity ends : the hotel desperately needs a complete refurbishment and good maintenance. When making your room booking it’s difficult to understand what your room looks like or will be one of the few which I believe have been updated . We booked a junior suite , good size with reasonable view but again that’s where any positivity ends . Rooms extremely dated , shower over bath with shower curtain , a hair dryer on the wall which I last saw in the 80’s ! Extremely uncomfortable bed . Sofa covered with worn cover which looked really shabby . However house keeping was good with friendly staff . Breakfast had a reasonable choice but quality could be better . Mixed reviews for service and helpfulness of the staff Standouts were lovely waitress at pool bar and pool staff . A couple of reception staff were very unwelcoming and rude and unwilling to help with room upgrade etc . The local beach is a few minutes walk from hotel we found it absurd that the charged for front two rows of sun beds in hotel for the majority of our 10days they remained empty. The beach is lovely however Baia resort is very limited , restaurants serving very average pizza and pasta at inflated prices , taxis also charged excessive prices 50€ for very short journeys . I think Sardinia has much nicer places to offer with a more authentic experience . Our first visit left us pretty disappointed with overall experience

Hotel location is perfect. It is just near the beautiful beach and it is easy to go to other beaches in this area from here. Breakfast was very good as well. On the other side, it is extremely expensive for what it offers. Rooms are outdated and the facility as well. Also, if you decide to eat dinner at the hotel keep in mind portions are very small and prices are huge. Some of the staff members were nice and pleasant, but some need to improve their manners.

Unforgettable Holiday at Hotel La Bisaccia – End of May in Sardinia My partner and I spent a dreamy week at Hotel La Bisaccia in Sardinia at the end of May. The hotel impressed us in every way. Here is our detailed review (Rating scale: 1 = poor, 5 = excellent): Location – 5/5 The hotel is perfectly located: just a short walk to the charming town center with various shops, and less than 100 meters to the private beach. From our balcony, we enjoyed a breathtaking view of the sea – a truly dreamy setting. Cleanliness – 5/5 Our room was thoroughly cleaned every day. Towels were regularly replaced, and soap and shampoo were consistently refilled. The attention to detail by the housekeeping staff was remarkable: my training pants were always neatly folded and placed lovingly on the pillow. The balcony chairs were always tidied, and the minibar was reliably restocked with fresh items. Food – 5/5+ We had half board and were thoroughly delighted with the culinary offerings. The breakfast left nothing to be desired – from fresh fruit, croissants, muesli, toast, various cheeses and cold cuts to a selection of fruit juices and even a dessert buffet for those with a sweet tooth. Dinner was a four-course meal, with three to four options to choose from for each course – appetizer, two main courses, and dessert. The cuisine was consistently top-notch: authentic Italian, skillfully prepared, always fresh, and bursting with flavor. The wine recommendations were excellent, and the wine was always served at the perfect temperature. Keep it up! Pool Bar – 5/5+ Each evening, we ended our day with a nightcap at the pool bar. The atmosphere was magical – a sea view, relaxed ambiance, and live music in the adjacent pavilion. The pianist was outstanding: his playing showed technical mastery and musical depth. From the softest pianissimo to grand fortissimo, he explored the full range of expression. His interpretations of Italian classics were especially delightful. A true highlight of our stay. Reception – 4.9/5 The reception staff was consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive. We felt welcome, well taken care of, and truly at ease. One minor point of criticism: one staff member seemed, at times, more focused on her freshly done nails and adjusting her glasses than on the guests in front of her. However, this hardly detracted from the otherwise very positive impression. Likelihood to Return – 5/5 Absolutely – we would return in a heartbeat! This hotel fully won us over. Conclusion: A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Hotel La Bisaccia. These holidays were truly unforgettable – simply wonderful!

We had a brilliant and relaxing stay here. The location is absolutely lovely, on a beautiful bay, with little coves to explore, and it's own private beach at the end of the beach on the bay.||We had a superior Double sea view, with balcony. Which was in the main building, the room was fine, and bathroom nice, the view from the balcony across the bay was just stunning. We were on the 2nd floor and I'm so glad we opted for a balcony. Perfect for watching the sunset. I guess we were in the newer renovated rooms, the other building in the grounds was having some work done to it while we were there (right at the start of season, so it was very quiet) so I assume they're working on updating those too, as I saw these mentioned in other reviews. ||We didn't find the aircon was blowing any cool air out so asked reception to look at it, which we don't think anybody did as it was never fixed, but we decided we liked the view and didn't want to be moved so we left it. It was early May so pretty cool at night anyway. ||The staff were really friendly, we felt very welcome. The view from the pool was also just beautiful. Worth a dip even though it was chilly, as it was very refreshing, and the sea in the bay was beautiful to swim in too. ||Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice. We only stayed B&B so didn't eat at other times. We did a couple of times have a post-pool drink at the bar, which was about £10 each for a spirit and mixer, which I would say is about expected for the area. ||On check out we were charged €16 for 4 bottles of water from the mini bar, which we hadn't actually had, we just took them out and put them on the desk above it, so we could put some other things in it. So do check your bill. I did mention it (in fairness it does say you shouldn't put your own things in the fridge), and it was removed. ||There is a kettle and tea/coffee in the room that was topped up everyday. ||We had a car and used it everyday, there's a lot more to explore outside of the area.||Overall a brilliant stay, we would come again, and definitely want to visit Sardinia again.
