The island and the resort provide a heavenly and yet totally low key experience. The hotel offers just what you need: room, a/c, shower, good breakfast, aperitivo, vespa and... the boat. With that you have a ticket to this paradise that is called Lampedusa, where the sun shines and the water is cool and translucent. They do throw in the day-trip to Modugno's cabin, a dream. All the staff of the resort and the boat was extremely helpful. Don't spread the word, this is too good to be true.

We loved our stay at La Calandra. Great staff with Adriana, Pasquale, Giovanni and Nicola, the owner, who made us feel almost part of the family rather than simple guests! Main attraction was the boat outing, with excellent lunches prepared by wonderful Enzo and Piero made of fish from the day. The location of the resort is amazing, with stunning views. The set up / decorations are very nice, but rooms are a bit small - in line with the local buildings of the area. It must be noted though that the main attraction in this type of holiday is the boat outings as the resort does not have a swimming pool and the access to the sea may not be easy / straightforward. Overall I would recommend to anyone wishing to visit lampedusa !

The Calandra resort is a small, but beautiful and luxurious, structure in Lampedusa. It’s location is just magnificent, as it lays on the top of a cliff, on the brick of one of the most breathtaking seaside landscape worldwide. It’s terrace, where is possible to eat, drink, chill and spend time together, offers the most spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea. About the food and cuisine, I can’t say anything but the best about the proposals of the resort, able to put together a sofisticate style and the attention to the tradition of the Sicilian tastes. The Dammusi, traditional rooms of the hotel, are very nice and comfortable and superbly clean. They are available in different sizes, prices and positions, even tough the Calandra resort has just 12 accommodations. What really paid off and made the difference tough were two elements: the service first and the things to do organised by the resort. About the service I want to thank all the guys that took care of us and made our stay in Lampedusa just magnificent. Everyone, made the difference with a professional attitude and a fantastic and happy familiar atmosphere. Federico, the GM, is a most fantastic person and became our friend throughout our staying. He really makes the difference from a common hotel to a true, blissful experience, thanks to his very much appreciated 100% availability. |Last but not least, the Caicco, traditional boat of 30 metres is complimentary for all the guests and offers the stunning possibility of having a private and relaxing luxurious taste of the spectacular seaside of Lampedusa. The crew and the food on board were just excellent. All the guests can also enjoy a complimentary moped or car to be able to sea the island throughout it’s beauty. As far as I am concerned, price-quality ratio is brilliant, due to all the amenities and further services included in the price of the staying. ||Amazing!! Thank you Calandra and thank you Federico. We will come back. 5 stars!!!!!||R.

Such a paradise. It's little hotel with just few rooms. Terrace for aperitif with breathtaking view over the sea. Rooms are so cozy. Peaceful place. Boat rides everyday around the island with amazing crew who will cook for you lunches. They even give u a scooter so u can go around very easily. Such a magic place with staff that make u feel at home. I loved the breakfasts. Highly recommended if you want to feel like you are in the fairytale. No night life, definitely for people who want to relax. The water there is crystal clear.

The manager Federico tried to hold us hostage from departing. We reserved for 7 days but had several issues with No Power, and No Water in the first 2 days. The rooms and bathrooms are extremely dirty from hair and dirt and trash from the guests before us. The place has a very cheap feeling and the management with is very stingy also. They do not allow families with children and never told us that until we were within the cancellation period. Due to the fact that there was a consistent problem with power and water, after 2 days, we decided to cut our vacation short. We decided to leave early. The ownership has no idea how terrible Federico is. He could not manage a conversation and could not manage a 14 room hotel. He is unquestionably the most rude and obnoxious man on Lampedusa. He gives a bad name to those who live and work hard on Lampedusa. Lampedusa is beautiful, the people of Lampedusa are excellent, just stay somewhere else. Not here. The website and pictures of the rooms are NOT real. NOT REAL. The place is so filthy. We cut our own vacation short by 5 days and only spent 2 out of 7 days there because of the awful experience at La Calandra and with Federico…..a very bad and nasty old man. He is a vampire. 🧛🏼‍♂️

Beautiful location overlooking the crystal clear waters in Lampedusa. From the moment Giovanni collected us at the airport, we knew it was going to be a relaxing experience. The hotel consists of a series of small dammusi (typical houses of the region). The Calandra is incredibly peaceful with a large open terrace with sea views where drinks and appetisers are served every evening. Breakfast is served every morning under a shaded pergola. The highlight for us was the daily outing in the hotel's kaiko. It is available only to hotel guests, and it is staffed by two wonderful locals, Enzo and Pietro. Not only do they captain the boat, but they prepare the most delicious lunch from local fish and produce - absolutely unforgettable! If you are looking for a relaxing, stress free holiday, try La Calandra!

Nice property overlooking the sea, rooms are a bit small but nice. The property is well maintained and staff are very helpful. The main attraction though is the boat trips done every day, visiting different bays in the island. The boat is large with more than enough space to accommodate all guests, the crew are very friendly and great cooks. Highly recommended, but this is not a holiday that will appeal to everyone, the main attraction is the boat outings. If you are not into that, you will quickly get bored as not much to do in the island or the resort

Quick stop in this nice hotel right at the port. Funny place for being on an island, for a moment I wondered if I ever left the city... Rooms are big, confortable and clean, with a nice view. Breakfast a bit scarce, all personnel very kind, but the owner seemed too busy to help us with transport arrangement... Overall good value for money.
