The staff are very friendly, helpful and respectful. Daily breakfast is great with a big bowel of fresh fruit and eggs. Rooms are clean with daily bathroom maintenance. They will do a bag of laundry for $5 but they never asked me to actually pay it. Highly recommend. If I come back to Boquete, I will will stay here.

Family run small hotel which is clean and comfortable a short walk away from the few shops and restaurants in town. Staff were pleasant and helpful and refilled water bottles for us.||We had room 5 which had two double beds in it resulting in it feeling rather cramped. We were also situated on the side of main road through town, there is a little road noise at night but it didn't really disturb us.||Not much outside space to sit around outside, there were small benches but nothing else. ||Meals, including breakfast, were taken outside of the hotel a few yards up the road at Lounge 23. Not sure if this was connected to the hotel or if they didn't offer food. It was cooked to order from limited menu but adequate and fresh.

To be honest room was quite small, but with good view. It was cleaned every day, towels were changed too. Good location- 5 minutes from the city market, we were able to check in 2 hours faster. Monotonous breakfasts- only eggs. In double room there could be a second glass…

A friendly little hotel. Our room was to the back and very quiet, with views out to the mountains. Facilities were limited but adequate. ||||Breakfast is made to order, with a limited choice. ||||Staff were friendly and very helpful.||||The hotel is at one end of Boquete, but it only takes a few minutes to walk in to the centre, and there is plenty of choice for eating and drinking in the area.

Most disappointing hotel on our Panama trip. Very small and run down rooms without anything. No water cooker, no hairdryer, not even a chair or table to put your things on. Safe did also not work properly. Rooms not very clean and dusty. Sheet of my bed had a stain and the bed of my wife had ants. Staff absolutely disinterested and not friendly. They did nothing proactively (had to ask for wifi, had to ask for key safe, had to ask to exchange bed sheets). Breakfast has a weird atmosphere because the staff doesn‘t care.

At first we were disappointed by how small and basic the room was but we came to love this place because of the wonderful staff. They truly went the extra mile for us - they even drove us to one of our activities at no cost. Breakfast was very good with several options, and they offered to make it early for us when we had an early morning. Laundry is available for a small fee (about $5 per load) - if you are looking for luxury, this is the wrong place, but if you are looking for a great experience in a guest house, give this place a try.

We stayed at Abuela for three nights and it was a really good stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The organized our trips in Boquete, our laundry and even the transport to Bocas. The breakfast was totally fine, we got a really big pancake with fruits and tea/coffee. The room was okay, comfortable bed with mountain view (really nice in the morning). The bathroom was okay, too. It was clean, but not the newest one. But that's not a bad thing. In total we can really recommend staying in LA Casa de Abuela.

Casa de Abuela raises the bar for customer service in Boquete. Having left a “so-called” bed and breakfast nearby, I found the staff to be kind and genuinely interested in the comfort of their customers. Rooms are simple, clean and have beautiful mountain views. You really don’t need air conditioning. However, you can request an air conditioned room if you need one. The morning breakfast is well prepared and includes fresh fruit, fresh eggs and the very best coffee. They go out of their way to provide to meet the needs of their guests. On my first day I asked them if they knew a place close by where I could get a late afternoon cup of coffee. They immediately provided some excellent suggestions. Then, to my amazement they kindly offered to go in the kitchen make me a cup of coffee! Who does that? ||Casa Abuela is a family owned hotel that treats you like family. I will gladly return on my next trip. Well done!
