Our favorite hotel in Colima we have stayed here many times, but the most recently we stayed here because my wife was in the hospital for a week and then we had to spend a week here at the hotel. The staff were fabulous and the owner of Hotel is a wonderful man. Very kind and gentle and very caring. We cannot say enough good about this hotel. We are very grateful that they are in our lives.

Sweet, quiet hotel with a beautiful courtyard in an otherwise not so beautiful centro. The rooms are very basic and a bit dated, but the atmosphere of the hotel itself was charming and the beds were confortable. The staff were very nice.

I absolutely LOVED this cute charming little hotel. It had a very french feel with adorable courtyards! So many little touches that were so thoughtful & charming. The bed was so comfy. Furniture was also charming. Bathroom was decent size. Could use a bit more pressure in the shower & an interior barn door to the bathroom would aleviate the door swing issue. AC worked well. Only wish they had a pool. Walkable to restaurants. Some staff spoke great English & were very helpful. Cafe attached had very nice breakfast. Would love to return someday!!!

We stayed at La Casona for 2 nights in November. The service at this hotel is worthy of any 5 star property. From the minute we pulled up in front of the hotel we were greeted and assisted with our check in, luggage and parking of our car. In particular, the front desk person, Genesis, was there to help with anything we needed (an added plus...perfect english!).||I would have given this charming property a 5 if the rooms had been a bit bigger. Otherwise the property was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable, bathroom well appointed and the cafe served good breakfasts!

If the wifi wasn't atrocious I'd give this place 5+ stars. The rooms are compact, but probably the cleanest we've stayed in anywhere in Mexico (and we spend a lot of time here...). Beds are extremely comfortable, and a shower large enough to be easy to use by a big person (!). The common areas are quite attractive and lovingly maintained by a large, hard-working and extremely friendly housekeeping staff (in fact, everyone that works here is beyond helpful!). The location is excellent, right across the street from a gorgeous park and a short walk to the town center. The only disadvantage, if it matters to you, is that the wifi is horrible. Non-existent in the rooms, slow and intermittent in the common areas. If you can live without WiFi (or don't mind padding down stairs to the lobby to get it) this may be the top choice in Colima.

Lovely renovated Colonial Hotel. Rooms small but spotless and bed very comfortable. Had air conditioning, very nice when 95 out. Staff excellent and helpful. Cafe had great food, overall I wouldn't hesitate to return.

This is one of the best little hotels in Mexico! Cute courtyards, comfy bed, a/c, and it's very well maintained and clean. A very good value in a nice part of town. Highly recommend.

The hotel was suggested to us by a friend and was easy to find. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming. We speak a bit of Spanish and they spoke enough English that we could understand each other, but problems came up when we had trouble connecting to the WiFi. Admittedly, they staff tried to help but said that sometimes when it rained the wifi wouldn't work properly. We just couldn't connect to a decent signal, and the one outside the room at full strength just wasn't set up properly, couldn't get online. The next morning the issues persisted and the staff tried to help a bit more but to no avail. We needed internet for work and couldn't stay in the cafe or lobby the entire time to work, wouldn't be very productive. ||The cherry on the cake was when we checked at the hotels 2 doors down, the price was substantially cheaper and the rooms similar in size and amenities. We wouldn't of minded if the internet was working, probably would of stayed the entire trip at Casona Don Jorge, but despite the best efforts of the staff, we kind of felt cheated to be honest.
