We stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant on a short lunch stop in Yaiza. It had a wonderful ambiance and very friendly and professional staff! Our meals were delicious, we loved the risotto with pork and mushrooms. So far our favorite restaurant on Lanzarote. Finally something authentic with character.

I stayed 2 weeks in room number 13. I found it to be perfect. Big room, big balcony and a nice shower! Everything was very clean and that everyday. The best was the balcony, the view in the morning and evening… Wow!

My husband and I spent our wedding anniversary here and had an amazing time. Very friendly staff, super clean room, and gorgeous little gardens to sit in. The pool is lovely to sit by at night, very romantic and it is definitely worth paying that little extra to have a balcony (outside space) (we had two) We were in room 18 and loved it, great powershower, plently of storage, comfy memory foam bed. My only niggle was there was no fridge for cold water or a safe to put our passports in. Breakfast is a good choice of fresh fruits and bread, with a lovely little cat for company. Get down as soon as it opens, though (8.30 am) as it gets busy. We really enjoyed the peaceful quiet area, it was so relaxing. Great value for money! We would 100% return. Thank you so much, Casona, for making our anniversary so special. 🥰

My girlfriend and I came here for dinner and left very full and happy. Service is very friendly and fast. Food was delicious we had the papaya gaspachio, tempura fish tacos, fried goat cheese balls and banana moussee and was also good price wise. Cocktails were amazing we had a pinacold and mojito without alcohol. Nothing to complain about honestly. Cocktail was

Despite living in Playa Blanca for 4 years, I had no idea this restaurant existed until recently! What a beautiful place, full of character and charm. The welcome was friendly and the service excellent. Our server explained the specials AND the price of each, most unusual. The starter of sweet black pudding was delicious but beware, the portions are large! Two could easily share one of those. I had Canary pig, which was pulled pork. Again delicious and moist and again, very generous portions. My friends had two different steaks and a chicken dish and everyone really enjoyed their food. Look forward to a return visit soon.

Nicely located hotel in a peaceful place. The rooms are lovely and cosy. The breakfast is varied and rich in fruits (very appreciated!) We are enjoying our stay and we will try soon also the restaurant!

Unfortunately we can't agree to what all the reviews are saying. The reviews of the restaurante in the evening - what is really great and delicious - are hiding a bit the not really good parts of the hotel. We were hoping the same stuff and kitchen provides also the breakfast. Unfortunately not. The breakfast was the most simplistic breakfast what I ever saw for paying this price per night. It's served from 8:30-10:30. But if you go there in the second part of this range (basically at 9:30, just an hour later) we experienced that everything was already gone without refilling it. At 9:30/45 there was no bun to get. Other guests where leaving with disappointment after they were able to catch the last donut or even brought some of their own spreads. I fully support that you serve and promote a vegetarian - meat is not necessary - breakfast, but I am not supporting that you don't put really much effort in it. Do something by yourself like omelet, scrambled eggs, salads etc. Except for the boiled eggs there was nothing self-made to see. Everything was just from frozen to baked or just ready-made frittata. Sorry I expect this self-made in a Spanish hotel. Ask a regional provider for buns, croissants etc. For cheese and ham - what was the cheapest non tasty quality - you have to ask the stuff yourself as it was not served at all, and embarras yourself. All the people around us where complaining and talking about the low quality breakfast. If you don't want to waste and throw it because you serve too much, say it directly during check-in to your guests. The highlight was the comment from another table/guest.. "Oh the cat got ham, we don't". The only good part in this breakfast was the amount of fresh fruits to catch. But except for the cutted melon again no effort to serve this. In the end we were unhappy by it so we went to the main road to the Santa Catalina Café what is run by Italians. The food and the coffee there was genius. And we met also other guests of the hotel there. We stayed in one of the newer rooms. The sleeping area by itself is a bit small, but it had a big bathroom and was modern. What I don't get - yes we booked for two people - they locked the second room. This I never experienced before even if I booked only for two instead of for 3/4. What if two friends are exactly booking it because they see it's two rooms?

Yelp
La Casona de Yaiza is a very nice boutique hotel on inland Lanzarote. The building and surrounding complex is fabulous. I especially liked the wonderful flowering shrub that makes a beautiful tunnel at one side of the building. Te courtyard outside the reception office and dining room was also a pleasant spot to sit in. The courtyard was kept spotlessly clean. The room was cool, despite having no air-con. The bed was comfortable and the flat screen TV enabled us to watch TV and movies on our laptop (we brought the HDMI cable ourselves). There is WiFi too, which was available near reception and the dining room. The pool offered welcome break from the hot hot sun, especially after a day hike or a bike ride in the surrounding area. The breakfast buffet was quite good, a fine array of food to chose from. Dinner in their restaurant was nice, but the wine was quite expensive, by Lanzarote standards. It was lovely wine, but 21 EUR. The manager was a very nice guy to deal with. The waiter, a little odd, but was always paying attention to his diners. There are few things that make this review a four star instead of a five star: The lack of storage in the room. There was very little storage and one chest of drawers (which was in the bathroom) only had one drawer with a working handle. The lack of light in the bathroom. We could open the shutter, but the window was right by the courtyard and generally there was someone out there that could see in. The lack of staff at times, once when we arrived to check in and then during the day at the bar. But still overall a nice experience here upon our arrival to Lanzarote at La Casona de Yaiza.
