Hotel La Casona Dorada

Hotel La Casona Dorada certainly rolls out the red carpet with a great welcome! 🏨 Its good location and cleanliness are spot on. While the mosquitos in the rooms were tiny uninvited guests 🦟, a repellent needs to be installed. The pools and gym were a bonus 🏊‍♀️ Breakfast timing is not adhered to and perhaps a refresher course for some staff. Also, the nighttime noise and music runs till very late so if you want to sleep at 11pm, it is not easy with the rooms not being sound proof. I had added an extra day to my stay but the system checked me out and I was barred going into my room. Later, spending time with reception I was allowed in but that shouldn't happen.

Beautiful and clean place. The employees were very helpful. Room was clean and all linens were fresh. Breakfast was good.

Very nice place, but!! the A.C in the rooms are never working properly, even if you reported to manager, the problem never get fixed, D.R is always hot and humid so to sleep comfortable in a hotel you need a good A.C

Easy place to lose yourself in ducked off the main road

The room's mattress was uncomfortably firm, making it difficult to sleep. The bathroom design was unusual, featuring a metal door with a transparent panel that lacked privacy. During my stay, the power briefly went out for a couple of minutes but quickly came back. Additionally, the TV had many static-filled channels, which made it hard to find something to watch.

Some rooms are very unique and nice. Others are very old and kind of neglected. I have stayed there several times over the past two years and every time the quality and attention are very inconsistent. Most of the staff is attentive and helpful. Location is centric and convenient. I would recommend staying here if you plan not to be in the hotel much and just need a place to rest your head. The breakfast is just mid.

Our Wedding Ring Stolen at La Casona Dorada!!!! My wife and I chose La Casona Dorada for our recent trip, expecting a pleasant and secure experience. Instead, our stay turned into a nightmare. On our very first night, we discovered that housekeeping had stolen my wife’s wedding ring, an irreplaceable item of immense sentimental value. Despite the hotel boasting about its security measures, including surveillance cameras, our ordeal was met with indifference and ineptitude. We immediately filed a police report, hoping to recover our cherished ring, but neither the hotel staff nor the local authorities were able to resolve the situation. The hotel’s management offered no substantial assistance, leaving us feeling vulnerable and violated. Adding insult to injury, we decided to leave the hotel after this traumatic event, yet La Casona Dorada refused to refund the remaining days of our booking. This showed a complete lack of empathy and responsibility, further compounding our distress. Our experience at La Casona Dorada has left us deeply disheartened and wary of recommending this establishment to any travelers, especially those from Europe and America who expect higher standards of security and customer service. The lack of accountability, dismissive attitude towards such a serious incident, and refusal to refund our money highlight a significant failure in ensuring guest safety and satisfaction. Avoid this hotel at all costs if you value your peace of mind, personal belongings, and fair treatment.
