Hotel La Casueña

Wonderful welcome by the owners,Miguel and Marian,in this very cozy, magical little boutique hotel by a lake in the Pyrenees. It’s surrounded by high mountains. Very clean room, great bed and lots of space , robe & sleepers available as well as great toiletries.Breakfast was included and it was a real feast: croissants, cheeses, local jambon, fresh fruits, home made breads, yogurts and even fresh eggs.Dinner is available and recommended. The menu is well thought out and prepared with fine products and lots of care by Miguel the owner.|It was like stepping out from our day to day life and being care for in a very cozy cocoon! We will go back for sure and for now, we’ll remember the wonderful hospitality of Marian & Miguel.|P.S. do yourself a favor and have a vermouth in the library.

A Pyrenean jewel. |A brilliantly run hotel whose owners go the extra mile in every aspect. So friendly and engaging. The breakfast spread is incredible and the evening meals are delicious. We are on a tour through Europe and have stayed at some 5 star chateaus but this was by far the best food . Great location. Can’t fault it . Everything a small family run hotel should be and more.

This place was absolutely wonderful! The owners were very nice, and gave us a warm welcome even though we arrived late. The room was really spacious, clean, uniquely decorated and had a great view of the lake. The made a very elaborate breakfast, with local products and homemade cake (we even got the recipe!). The dinner was also very delicious and they served wonderful local wines. This has been one of the best places we have stayed in, in the Pyrenees and we would recommend this to everyone!! Next to the hotel itself being great, the owners were the icing on the cake. Very kind people, put a lot of effort into explaining things in English, had great recommendations for hikes in the area and were great cooks! 5++ stars

Stayed here for 3 nights while hiking in the area. Everything was spectacular! Rooms were super cozy and thoughtfully designed. The food (both the breakfast and dinner) was some of the best we ate in Spain. The service was warm and friendly. Lanuza is a very cute little hamlet and the perfect base for several spectacular hikes. Looking forward to planning our next trip!

An enchanting hotel in a stunning natural location. Owners Marian and Miguel are friendly, thoughtful people and have thought of every possible detail to make staying at the hotel so relaxing. Breakfast is huge, with great quality products. Marian is also an excellent cook -- be sure and have dinner if you stay here!

Hotel La Casueña is the perfect balance of restorative and inspiring hospitality offered by the owners Miguel and Marian. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 5 nights and days in their uniquely characteristically boutique hotel; only 7 rooms. The views onto the Lanuza reservoir and Peña Formatata excited our souls and hearts every morning and evening. Both Miguel and Marian were delightful hosts and ever accommodating in their recommendations for place to explore & hike, local community points of interest, and other dining options in nearby towns such as Sallent de Gallego and Tramacastilla de Tena. The hotel offers a lovely spread for breakfast that is so delicious and fresh; Miguel is such a kind man in his service and we appreciated that. Marian is preparing the dishes that are made with only the freshest ingredients for the local areas. We dined there a number of times and the selections were bountiful and very tasty. The room was well equipped with all the amenities one would need and the bed was perfect. The view from the room was awesome. We highly recommend this special place.

This is the very best example of a lovely small hotel run by excellent hosts, in a wonderful setting. They think of all the little details to make your stay memorable and everything from the design of the hotel to quality of food is excellent. Wine was very good too. We will make sure to return one day.

A beautiful B&B in the heart of the Pyrenees! Run by a lovely couple, this establishment exudes warmth and charm. Well-appointed and very clean rooms, allowed us to unwind after activities in the area, such as hiking. The breakfast was an elegant and delicious start to each day!

This hotel was fantastic and the owners will treat you like family! Very intimate setting complete with dogs and a cat. Breakfast every morning was so good and we treated ourselves to dinner one night but we wish we had both nights since there is no restaurant nearby that even comes close. Will recommend La Casueña to anyone!
