Upon arrival and dealing with the jerk at the front desk, he set the tone for the rest of our stay. Even our tour guide noticed it. His behavior was of someone that didn’t want to be bothered with any guest. Not a smile, or “enjoy your stay”. When inquiring about getting a 3rd towel and bottle of water for a triple occupancy he said they only offer 2 bottles per room despite paying for 3 people. How petty and cheap. The hotel also does not have an elevator and the beds and linens are thread bare. I don’t understand why they would put such a miserable person at the front desk. When I complained to what appeared to be a more mature man he apologized and indicated they’ve had complaints about him in the past. Obviously, he’s a jerk with an attitude. In such a small town I can only think he’s burned his bridges with any romantic prospect by having such a miserable demeanor. Do yourself a favor, stay in another hotel where you’ll be made to feel welcome. By the way, the hotel looks better in the pictures than in person.

Arriving early by bus and check in - it's only us tonight as guests.:) Friendly welcome by the patron; - ok and very clean room with a/c. It's early afternoon, we chanced for relaxing by the pool, the mam was coming with extra towels; swimming and refreshments. We went out in the village, only a stroll, maybe make some pixs. Early dinner, very tasty and perfect cooked meat. with salad & tortillas.||Next morning a nice a la carte breakfast :) - and by taxi to the railway station

Hacienda style property very cute . Room decor lovely. We had some issues with our room, the air conditioning heat system, we could not get it to work. The water pressure in the shower was either too cold too hot. No english speaking stations on TV. Food was good, staff friendly. Centrally-located. I would recommend the property. Issues we had where

This is a good hotel with decent amenities. It has a small swimming pool, air conditioning and TVs in each room. Friendly staff. Good restaurant. It is located next to the Plaza de Armas, which is surrounded by several good restaurants, the Palacio de Gobierno and two blocks away from the museum. |Corn, beans and cranberries among other fruits are planted and exported. It has two large dams nearby, a large river and it is all semi desértica vegetation. Hot temperatures most of the year. ||Interesting small city with 30,000 inhabitants

It's conveniently placed just in the center of the town, the rooms are spacious, air conditioning failed in the middle of the night which was kind of a hassle. Front desk people are very kind and it's a family type hotel. They don't allow people entering with alcohol and don't allow people entering drunk. It's very safe if you're worried about drunk people specially during these festivities. They don't allow loud parties inside. ||We had breakfast in their restaurant and it was DELICIOUS. Very home made and fast. Excellent coffee.

Spent most of our stay thinking this would be a five star review for location, comfort, and charm but things ended on a sour note when we asked about the public bus transfer to El Chepe and were told it wasn't possible but that the hotel would arrange a taxi transfer. We were skeptical, but with little solid info to go on we agreed and were then told we should head to the station an hour before departure. It seemed early but again we decided to go along with the local recommendation figuring the hotel must know best. In the end, we arrived far earlier than we needed to and at the same time as the pubic bus that cost a quarter as much and that we had been told wasn't an option. Then our taxi went back and made a second run, dropping off another couple we'd seen at the hotel. Suppose they at least got to the station at a reasonable time. It's a nice enough place but don't trust the front desk, they're more worried about getting their kickback than giving you good advice.

My family and I stayed at this hotel, I must say the hacienda or casona is beautiful. It has an amazing garden, excellent for photos (heads up for instagrammers), the pool is available during the afternoon and very much recommended, as the city is extremely hot & humid during august. If you arrive early in the day Visit the local museums, and during noon stayed at your room with the AC. But late in the afternoon the town comes to live, and the hotel in conveniently located across the main plaza, so you can go and have a walk, eat a popsicle, visit the cathedral, or even attend mass. there's a local tour call chepito, in reference to the train chepe, and offers a tour around the city. At nigh you can have your dinner and drinks served at the main garden in the house, use the pavilion or pergola, it's amazing at night and please bring a mosquito repellent.||The rooms at the hotel are equiped with everything you may need, AC, cable tv, toiletries and fresh towels, you'll have a large room.||Didn't like the restaurant thou, we haveour lunch there, but the manu was the same for lunch and dinners and little flexibility for changing dishes.

What a wonderful experience we had at LaChoza...quaint, authentic, immaculate hotel with beautiful garden, gazebo, and outdoor seating areas. Rooms were immaculate with all the amenities(no hairdryer) and new bedding and towels. The pool was well maintained and enjoyed by many. We stayed 2 nights here on our way to and from Copper Canyon. A very resting and relaxing stay.
