Hotel La City Mercado

Lovely hotel in a lovely location. |Spotlessly clean everywhere.|Staff very friendly and helpful |Our room was a decent size. Plenty of toiletries. Use of a fridge for storing water etc. Plenty of wardrobe space with hangers |Use of digital safety in the wardrobe at no extra cost. |Beds were extremely comfortable with spare pillows etc if required.

I had booked a fully cancellable room because I had not received my visa and cancelled well before the deadline due to delay in receiving my visa. I was charged the full amount for the room in spite of explaining my situation to the hotel. Would not recommend booking here. Very unhelpful, uncooperative staff.

Mid sized hotel in city centre, on bus route 6 from airport direct to the Mercado stop and a 3 minute walk to hotel. The room was good size, modern and has A/C, toiletries in bathroom with a great walk in shower, bed was super comfortable., lots of storage.We were at the front of the hotel (301) so it was very noisy from traffic on Saturday night but after that there was no issue. |We only had breakfast once, there area few options but it’s pretty basic and its nice to go out for a wander to see where the locals eat, try at Luceros there’s a few to choose from 5 mins away. |The reception staff were all excellent, we were checked in quickly, a lift is available too. A 15 minute walk through the city will take you to the esplanade which is beautiful beside the marina. There are lots of lovely bars/restaurants within a short walk either direction but please try Greens just over the road from the hotel, this was our best meal during our stay.|Overall this trip was great, the hotel is in a great location for the castle and the mercado and I’d recommend staying here.

I stayed for 7 nights from the 6th of may |Nice hotel in a great location. All the staff were nice and spoke English well. I had a 5th floor room and heard hardly any noise. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is that the air con only worked very intermittently |But it was a great value for money hotel and I will definitely return and would recommend it.

It's not a five star hotel but I gave five stars because for the price it has almost everything you need. Our room was not huge but it was adequate. Comfortable bed, good shower, and very clean. A bottle of water in the room fridge would have been a nice touch but the fee coffee on the lobby compensated for that. Very handy location and a special call out the helpful, friendly staff

Do not count on breakfast being there. Most baskets and trays were empty and fresh fruit is absent.Everything else is packaged and highly prosessed.They do not have a kitchen there and the service lady at breakfast was not friendly. My room on the 7th floor was just functional.No sign of decoration or extra welcomed articles like a glass..just a paper cup. The location is central so you can walk anywhere quite easily.

Location is great! Rooms are a bit small but perfect for the location and the weekend. The staff is very nice and accommodating. They hold luggage so you can go out and explore and late check out is a hit or miss. Great location and less than a 10 min walk to the beach! Great place and will be back!

A very nice, comfortable and clean hotel in the centre of Alicante. The hotel itself is pretty basic but its clean and functional. The rooms aren't huge but they aren't small either, just about right. Every part of the hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff are very helpful and most speak good English. Breakfast was very basic but of very good quality. Location is ideal if you want to explore the city. There are plenty of busses passing nearby and even one to get you to and from the airports in next to no time. At each end of the street there is a tram station which can take you as far as Benidorm and maybe further in comfort and at a low price. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, ranging from cheap to expensive. The beach and marina are not too far to walk to. All in all a lovely hotel.
