Hotel La City Mercado

Mid sized hotel in city centre, on bus route 6 from airport direct to the Mercado stop and a 3 minute walk to hotel. The room was good size, modern and has A/C, toiletries in bathroom with a great walk in shower, bed was super comfortable., lots of storage.We were at the front of the hotel (301) so it was very noisy from traffic on Saturday night but after that there was no issue. |We only had breakfast once, there area few options but it’s pretty basic and its nice to go out for a wander to see where the locals eat, try at Luceros there’s a few to choose from 5 mins away. |The reception staff were all excellent, we were checked in quickly, a lift is available too. A 15 minute walk through the city will take you to the esplanade which is beautiful beside the marina. There are lots of lovely bars/restaurants within a short walk either direction but please try Greens just over the road from the hotel, this was our best meal during our stay.|Overall this trip was great, the hotel is in a great location for the castle and the mercado and I’d recommend staying here.

I stayed for 7 nights from the 6th of may |Nice hotel in a great location. All the staff were nice and spoke English well. I had a 5th floor room and heard hardly any noise. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is that the air con only worked very intermittently |But it was a great value for money hotel and I will definitely return and would recommend it.

Do not count on breakfast being there. Most baskets and trays were empty and fresh fruit is absent.Everything else is packaged and highly prosessed.They do not have a kitchen there and the service lady at breakfast was not friendly. My room on the 7th floor was just functional.No sign of decoration or extra welcomed articles like a glass..just a paper cup. The location is central so you can walk anywhere quite easily.

Lovely hotel. Very reasonable, great location, 5 min walk to marina and less than 1 minutes walk to supermarket and retail shops. Local market nearby. Bus stop to train station and airport less than 100m walk. Friendly staff 24hr reception.

It's not a five star hotel but I gave five stars because for the price it has almost everything you need. Our room was not huge but it was adequate. Comfortable bed, good shower, and very clean. A bottle of water in the room fridge would have been a nice touch but the fee coffee on the lobby compensated for that. Very handy location and a special call out the helpful, friendly staff

This is a nice little hotel in a great location. We were able to walk to the port, old town etc. Lots of food options nearby. Street parking was easily available, not free but 1.80E for two hours plus after 8pm to morning was free.

Lovely comfortable, clean room at a great price. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Right in the centre of town close to the beach, castle, shps, restaurants and bars. Highly recommend.

Location is great! Rooms are a bit small but perfect for the location and the weekend. The staff is very nice and accommodating. They hold luggage so you can go out and explore and late check out is a hit or miss. Great location and less than a 10 min walk to the beach! Great place and will be back!
