Hotel La Compañía del Valle - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

I can't say enough about how wonderful this hotel, the restaurant, and spa are!! The environment is so relaxing. I started the weekend with the spa day pass - a 3-hour experience through the spa's pools, suana, steam room, salt pool, Himalayan salt room, and mud bath. It was the perfect way to begin and start the mood for a luxurious weekend. The relaxing spa music plays throughout the hotel - from the breakfast area to the pool. The nightly open bar (5-7pm) was a great way to unwind with friends and dinner at El Fuego was excellent! The breakfast buffet was also great. Service all around was spectacular. Finally, the rooms are so comfortable - I loved the large lounge sofa on the porch and loved waking up to a view of the mountains. The statues throughout the hotel and grounds are so fun and add whimsical flair. We enjoyed using the pickleball courts and the gym.

We just simply loved our time here!! Beautiful hotel, great breakfast, very friendly staff, amazing surroindings and views all around the place. We also really liked the happy hour, it was great watching the sunset with some nice glasses of wine from the 3rd floor bar. The artworks, the garden, the pool area, everything was very unique, it truly felt like a luxurious stay. We tried all of the 3 restaurants, every food was delicious. Don't be afraid to ask for help from the staff if you need transportation or anything, they are always happy to help. I can only recommend staying here!😍

Wow and Wow! What a stunning hotel and location. The rooms and facilities are fresh and welcoming. There are countless statues and art installs all over the place. The food and beverage was again excellent and consistent with what we experienced at the sister Hotel La Compania in Panama City. We were a group of 6 and were all extremely impressed with the spa and definitely recommend enjoying that experience! Keep up the great work as this is an extremely well run hotel in every aspect.

Great hotel, amazing service and nice new rooms. Only water pressure in shower could be better. But not anything worrying. Our stay was amazing very nice hospitality, also the concierge from South Africa was very helpful with finding nice excursions.

My family and I visited Del Valle over New Year’s Eve and stayed a few days into the New Year, fully intending to immerse ourselves in what was marketed as a peaceful “retreat” centered on “organic healing” and “wellness.” Unfortunately, while the property itself is beautiful, our overall experience fell short of those expectations. To start with the positives: the property, architecture, and rooms are stunning. The hotel is thoughtfully designed, with beautiful and distinctive art throughout that adds real charm and character. The food at both on-site restaurants Fuego and Tiempo was excellent and consistently enjoyable. Where our experience truly missed the mark, however, was in guest management, communication, and service. First, the hotel allows very young children, which significantly detracts from the advertised wellness and relaxation experience. During our stay, there were numerous young, unsupervised children screaming, running through shared spaces, disturbing wildlife, drawing on furniture, and using the gym as a playground, often disrupting workouts and meals. Unfortunately, many parents appeared disengaged, making it difficult to enjoy either private or public areas of the property. Second, hotel communication was inconsistent and lacked proactivity. We were never offered the opportunity to reserve spa services prior to arrival, leaving us scrambling for extremely limited spa availability. And we only learned at booking that the spa amenities (salt room, sauna, cold plunge, pool) could be used for an additional $100 and could not be used free if you booked spa services. We were also informed the night before that complimentary yoga would be held in one location, only to find it moved the following morning without any notice. We had to wander the property to locate the class. Lastly, the hotel advertises an “Activity Center,” yet many of the listed activities were unavailable during our stay, something that should have been clearly communicated at booking. Lastly, while the staff was polite, the service felt impersonal and lacked warmth. This was especially noticeable when compared to the exceptional hospitality we experienced previously at Hotel La Compañía Casco Antiguo, where the staff was consistently warm, attentive, and welcoming. We understand the hotel only opened in March, so some growing pains are expected. That said, a few changes could significantly improve the guest experience: - Consider restricting guest age to 12+ or 18+, or alternatively, create a dedicated kids’ club or children’s area to preserve quiet spaces. - Add key-card access to the gym and paddle ball courts to prevent children from using these areas as play zones. - Improve proactive communication regarding available vs. unavailable amenities prior to arrival. - Expand the gym, which feels disproportionately small given the size of the property. With better guest management and clearer communication, Del Valle has the potential to truly live up to its promise as a wellness retreat.

Had a lovely stay at La Compania with our son and his girlfriend. The grounds are beautiful and the artwork stunning and fun. It is like walking through a gallery. The staff is more than helpful and welcoming. Did the spa day and it was lovely and relaxing.Yes, do spread the mud on your skin it will make it soft. Dinner at Fuegos was delicious and memorable and very reasonably priced for the quality. Kudos to our server, she was efficient but not intrusive. The eggs Benedict at breakfast was the best i have had in a long time. I could actually taste the tang of the lemon juice. Come to relax and feel tranquil. It is not a frenetic party place. Have already booked a return for my birthday. Kudos on the redo of Lourdes.

Gorgeous! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the service outstanding. I stayed for two nights with my husband and we were very impressed with the attention and hotel overall. We went to the spa for the spa day and was amazing. Luz at the spa front desk was knowledgeable and welcoming. Also had a facial with Ashlin and it was very relaxing. Yanelis at the oasis on the top floor of the spa was of great help and served us some healthy drinks while we visited the location. The food served at all three restaurants was delicious and had a great variety of options to choose from. We were please and happy to have the chance to visit and stayed at the hotel. It is the perfect location with the Mountain view and great weather. Will come back for sure.

What a gorgeous hotel. Went for lunch. Unbelievable. Presentation was on point food delicious all around the table. The experience and views were amazing. Would recommend the main restaurant any day. Will try and return for more food but also a stay with the spa thermal springs to try. Unbelievable grounds, truly artistic view at every corner.
