Hotel La Compañía Casco Antiguo - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

Absolutely love this hotel! Not only is it unique in its history and characteristics, it is also stunningly beautiful. But beyond all of that is the staff. I travel a lot and this place stands out from most hotels I have ever stayed at - every staff person is professional, friendly and warm in a way that makes you feel like you are a friend in their home. I keep coming back - and this latest time I planned my 50th birthday celebration weekend with them. And they did not disappoint in any way. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars, because they truly deserve it.

We only had two nights at La Compañía and that was our biggest mistake - we wish had stayed for longer. There are three wings with differently themed rooms: French, Spanish, and American. We stayed in the Spanish (pictured) but had a friend in the French (we liked the Spanish more, but both are beautiful). We'll move from the outside-in: the location is great. It's central in Casco Viejo - traffic can be slow, so getting in/out can be tricky with Uber - but walking around you're in the heart of it all. The building, lobby, and courtyards were beautiful and well maintained. Every person we interacted with was happy, helpful, and attentive. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. The water pressure was excellent and the layout made sense (if you've been to some bad hotels, you get it). The restaurants were fun to explore - breakfast is a MUST. The pool was perfect for a relaxing afternoon, which you should make time for. If you're on the fence, get off it and book a room.

We had a wonderful experience at el Hotel La Compañia. Staff were super kind, very attentive and helpful. The hotel is lovely and had all that you can expect of a 5 star luxury hotel! We also attended their NYE party in La Ruinas and it was spectacular. Great show, food and people under the ruins of an 18th century chapel. Magical!

We stayed at Hotel La Compania for 2 nights and then again for 1 night at the end of our trip to Panama. What a treat. This is an absolutely beautiful hotel that is perfectly located and the staff, food and beverage are exceptional. Definitely recommend with no hesitation!

This was our first visit to Panama City a few weeks ago and we chose Hotel La Compañía based on location and excellent reviews. The reality matched all our expectations or even exceeded them. What a gorgeous hotel, we felt immediately comfortable. Think this is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at. Very stylish with exceptionally well-trained staff ! Wilfredo at the concierge’s desk is knowledgeable and very helpful to make your stay unforgettable. Carlos gave us a fabulous tour thru the well-preserved history of the hotel, super interesting. The rooftop bar is very cool – our waiter Neimar was outstanding. Pretty courtyard with well-kept landscaping. Our room was wonderful, we slept so well. Thank you for 4 fabulous days, hoping to return one day!

Clean|Wonderful atmosphere historic but modern amenities|Perfect location for exploring Casco Viejo|Staff are cheerful and multitasking|Our 2nd visit. Oasis of calm. Rooms very quiet, spacious|Check-in and out efficient|Breakfast buffet is huge, fresh fruit, food for many nationalities but has Panamá station.|Background music in restaurants and lobby too loud and competing with conversation|No large tour groups here

This place is utterly amazing! The history of the grounds and hotel is remarkable. I can't recommend it enough. The only place within the compound I wasn't too sure about was the little Mexican restaurant just off the courtyard. Drinks and food were mediocre and one night the server was a bit sarcastic in my opinion. I can't praise the staff enough in the Americano restaurant...especially Carlos from Venezuela...what a great server!! Excellent concierge service as well. Otherwise, this is my favourite hotel in my 67 years. Love LA Compania ❤️
