Approx 15 minutes walk from the train station, I had difficulty in finding the hotel when I arrived but no problem finding it after that. I arrived around 12.00, well before check in time but was told that my room would be ready at 13.00. As I was going to spend the afternoon in San Marino, I left my bag which was put in to a secure left luggage room & headed off returning around 17.00. ||A very easy, very friendly check in by the hotel owner, who spoke fluent English, followed. My passport details were taken, breakfast times, Info on Wi fi & what to see in Rimini were discussed & in no time, with room key, not key card, in hand, I was in the lift up to my 2nd floor room. (The key has to be left at reception when not in the hotel.)||A nice sized room, clean & comfortable with a tiled floor, 2 single beds, small work desk & 2 chairs, excellent & easy to control air con, bedside lockers, mirror, small wall mounted tv with numerous channels but unfortunately, as was the case in the 5 hotels that I stayed in on this trip, no English language channels, decent sized wardrobe, full mirror, wall mounted hairdryer, smoke alarm & a number of spare electrical sockets. As my room was located at the corner of the building, I had a nice sized balcony with 2 chairs overlooking the streets to the front & side of the hotel. Complimentary Wi fi was excellent, accessed by password, quick to connect to with fast browsing speed & very reliable. An abundance of natural light thanks to the patio doors leading to the balcony & shutters for those doors ensured that I had no issues with noise from outside of the hotel. No noise problems from inside of the hotel either.||The bathroom was a nice size, separated from the bedroom by a small hallway. Very clean with a tiled floor, partially tiled walls, small bottles of hair/bodywash/shampoo, plenty of towels, wall mounted electric heater, bidet, a small, fairly cramped shower cubicle with a shower head & hose on a rail with good pressure & plenty of hot water. A window with electric shutter gave natural light & fresh air.||I went down for breakfast around 07.30 & there was only one guest already there so, no problem getting a table in the large restaurant. A really good continental buffet breakfast with cereals, boiled eggs, toast, bread rolls, yoghurts, croissants, pastries, cheese, salami, ham slices, biscuits, crackers, bread sticks, rusk bread, spreads, coffee, tea, flavoured teas, orange juice, multivitamin drink & mineral water.||There is a small bar located next to the reception desk & several chairs outside the main entrance of the hotel. I had bought a couple of bottles of beer in a supermarket in the town centre with the intention of chilling out & drinking them in my room. When I entered the hotel the owner noticed them & asked me if I wanted to put them in to the bar fridge to cool them. I asked if he minded if I sat outside & drank them there as it was a very pleasant evening & he said that was fine & he gave me a glass. I spent a very pleasant hour enjoying those beers & talking to the owner about everything from Serie A football to politics.||Checking out was, like checking in, fast & friendly.||The hotel location is excellent. As already mentioned, approx 15 minutes walk from the train station, very close to the beach & less than 20 minutes walk to the very attractive town centre.||In short, an excellent hotel with an exceptionally friendly & helpful owner & staff. Well worth booking if staying in Rimini.
