Hôtel La Frégate - Piscine - Cap Ferret

Had a lovely ten days at la Fregate hotel in Cap Ferret. Met on arrival by Christina the hotel owner who did her utmost to make our stay a most pleasant experience. Recognising our Personal circumstances Christina had no hesitation in flexing the everyday hotel arrangements to suit our needs. All the staff proved to be Kind and accommodating and we were treated to every consideration. The hotel is well maintained the rooms clean and the linens fresh. The bathroom was spacious and well serviced. The pool is welcoming and clean. Breakfast is served at various locations inside and out all of which are extremely pleasant. The breakfast consists of artisan breads butter and conserves croissants yogurt fruit or compote fresh juice and good coffee, a great start to anybody's day. The hotel is well placed and allows walkable access to everything restaurants supermarket shops and pharmacie. Have no doubts a place of choice if we return.

This hotel is charming, clean and simple. It has a nice pool area and good breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff. We had a standard room with a balcony which we enjoyed very much. The only negative thing is that our room didn't have any air conditioning. However, we would definitely return to this hotel!

Well appointed and very clean, well decorated with comfy beds and small balcony. Slightly small twin room but entirely adequate for two sharing. Good shower. Attentive staff and after a days cycling, a very welcome pool.|Excellent location, close to the local ferry and good restaurants

We stayed two nights here with our dog. In our reservation we mentioned that we will bring out dog with us. Only upon check-out that we are informed that the dog costs extra. The whole hotel is very clean and neat. Breakfast was very good. There is also a swimming pool but the water was too cold so we didn't try it. There are parking lots in front of the hotel. There was some meeting going on while we were there so it was quite loud. Also in the pamphlet of the hotel it states that guests shouldn't let their dogs alone in the room. I understand the reason that if a dog barks a lot that will certainly bother other hotel guests. But dogs also need to rest a lot so I think this rule is not ideal if the hotel accepts pets.

It was such a shame, but our room was damp - making our sheets and mattress damp and all of our clothes. Such an uncomfortable sleep. The rude man working on reception insisted we were making it up, which was very upsetting - even though the damp extractor they put in the room on the second day started filling with water after just one night. He even ran his hands along the wall to show us his hand wasn't wet! Awful customer service and very rude. I've never been so disappointed in a hotel. ||||There was nowhere else to stay in Cap Ferret at the height of the season and we were offered a mere 10% discount on the already-extortionate price. Very, very disappointing for our first holiday in a year (and our last holiday before our baby arrives!)||||Stay away from the expensive ground floor room next to all the apparently-leaking air-conditioning units. ||||Lady serving breakfast was lovely. Breakfasts were expensive addition, but good.

We had a comfort room, which was small but functional, and good value for the area (but mid-June) at £100 per night||There was a little balcony but no chairs||No in room tea, coffee facilities||Comfy bed. Clean.||Swimming pool, but we did not get chance to use. ||Slightly on edge of town, but an equal-distance walk to either side of the coast!||We had breakfast one morning, and it was good value compared to the local cafes.||I rate this hotel as good, but Tripadvisor go from average to very good!

Great hotel very well located in Cap Ferret.|Boutique and cosy hotel, they have a nice pool, the room are very cleaned and their breakfast on the the terrace is a great value. |I rated 4 because the room are small, we were two with obviously two luggage and it was impossible to open them at the same time. |Also as recommendation for the management, the TV is placed to high on the wall and because they are not LCD the image was very dark.||Bottom line, highly recommended for your next trip in Cap Ferret
