The elevator did not work. I was on the third floor, and the stairways were extremely dimly lit and dangerous . The room was also poorly lit, and the air conditioner could not be adjusted by temperature only high, medium and low. I was required to turn in my key when I left however, I waited 20 minutes, banging on the bell before anyone came to give me a key to my room . The furniture is very old and needs to be refurbished. Nice size twin beds and a beautiful bathroom, very stingy on bath products one very small bar of soap and a very small little vial of body wash. Pretty front, close to the beach however it is very expensive and I would not go there again needs a lot of updating.

Just a wonderful little old style hotel fronting the beach. Quieter area and a pleasant 20-30 minute walk to old town. Great local restaurants nearby. The sea view room we had was magical.

We had a wonderful stay. A beautiful building with first class, friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and very clean and airy. The hotel is situated 2 minutes walk to the beach and at the west end of the beach which is a much quieter area of San Sebastián. Highly recommended

Flights in were cancelled due to a widely publicised strike. The hotel staff were extremely uncompromising and refused a refund despite no available flights to the region

The property is like stepping into a different era.. it has a French chateau feel about it. It was very central to third beach and the neighbourhood was very local with good bars and bakeries. The man at the front desk was very helpful. It’s not the most modern of hotels, but that is part of its charm & it was comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay.

This is a little gem in Donostia. It doesn't have a lot of rooms, so it always feels quite exclusive to sleep here. The location -a quiet street just a few meters away from the Ondarreta Beach- is great and safe. The Monte Igeldo cable car is also very close as well as quite a lot of local dining options, especially along Matia Kalea. |The hotel's area is also well-connected to the city centre and the old town thanks to several buses that run along De Zumalakarregi Hiribidea.|The rooms are very spacious, comfortable, quiet, clean and well-equipped (they have a kettle and also a mini-fridge).|The hotel offers a breakfast buffet for 15 EUR in the underground dining room, but I didn't try it.

We Stayed at Hotel La Galería for two nights in June. It is a great place to stay, not only is it 15 min from the city centre we were impressed with the amenities in the hotel room. The service was also exceptional as was breakfast. The only improvement that we can suggest is for there to be some form of information on the bathroom wall on how the shower works, since it took us a while to figure out how it works. Overall, this hotel was absolutely worth the price and we will consider it again when visiting San Sebastián.

I paid €230 for a Monday night stay on a day with no special events going on in town. Upon check-in, I was given my room key and number with directions to find the elevator and even which way to turn after I exited the elevator. Standard experience for a hotel, but that's where it ended. I then proceeded to hunt for my room door in at hallway filled with unmarked doors. I thought I had gone mad, what hotel doesn't have room numbers? I am not one to rush to ask for help, so I search EVERYWHERE for a number on all the doors before giving up and returning to the front desk. The staff member said "oh yes, we've removed all the numbers because we're getting new numbers". I'm no hospitality customer service expert, but mentioning you're running a mad house of a hotel with no numbers on the doors seems like it should be stated twice upon check-in along with a map or escort to find the room. The room was supplied with 2 towels and a floor mat, nothing else, and I searched everywhere. The 2 towels were smaller and about as thin as the pillowcases on the bed. Honestly, you're better off removing the pillowcases and drying yourself with them after a shower. Pretty sad for the price they charge. The AC in my room was broken and would only recirculate the air, not cool it. I sweat all night and got almost no sleep. A few hours before the sun came up I couldn't take it anymore, went for a long walk, returned around 8am, and it felt like walking into a humid swamp when I entered my room. Fun times for €230!
