Hotel La Gemma dell'Est

Loved it. The garden looks and feel like you are in a botanical garden. The private beach are great and the pool is magnificent. Abundance of food available and probably the best pasta I have eaten so far. The gym is also well equipped and the massages were great. Lots of daily activities too.

Amazing hotel, beautiful beaches and I got the most relaxing massage. Overall, great experience!!! The service, however, was decent and often rude. We were told multiple times over that something was on sale and not part of our full board package and hesitation that we would not pay. I understand the challenges associated with paid drinks/services, but staff can be better trained to deliver that something needs to be paid for

Beautiful location/Terrible service. Stayed in early July of 2016 Food is barely acceptable. Forget about ordering a drink from your lounge chair.... You'll be burnt to a crisp before / if it comes. We had to ask our wait staff numerous times for the basics. Rooms are acceptable, we had an ocean front ( they don't tell you that there is a 100 yard ledge). We paid for the all inclusive. They told us laundry was included but when we got our laundry done, there was a charge. For my American friends - similar to a nice South Beach or Hawaii location with fast food level service. Just be prepared. Note: I've stayed at 5 star resorts all over the world. This place view and beach is 5 star. Service is 2 and the rooms is 3.

Staff, multinational & local, 9/10. Very attentive and always ready to help. Rooms, 7/10 for the un-renovated ones and 9/10 for the recently renovated. All rooms are specious with good amenities and beautiful views. Location, garden & beach, 10/10 Food and restaurants, 7/10. The hotel needs a strong head chef to manage all the restaurant on the resort and improve on menus and dining experience. You still have a lot of choices, but variety does not compensate for "I can cook/arrange that dish better!" feeling. There's a lot of potential still left unlocked. I strongly recommend this hotel, the staff's willingness to assist will compensate for the few small shortcomings...

We really enjoyed our stay at La Gemma! The beach is amazing and the size of the resort is about right (not too big and not too small with enough choice of restaurants and bars for a couplw of nights there). The service was really good, everyone was helpful and polite. The food was delicious as well! The room was large, comfy and lovely decorated. We had our own private terrace. The staff are so nice that they make you feel like home:), they even allowed us to check out late (around 3pm) free of charge as our taxi arrived at 3:30 pm. We would have loved to stay longer with them and we really look forward to go back!

Great hotel, wonderful garden, excellent conditions for water sports, wonderful beach. Rooms large, specious clean, cleaned twice a day. Very nice and friendly service. Super disco and live music. We spent a wonderful holiday at this hotel. I recommend the Diamonds la Gemma dell 'Est for all.

We came here for our honeymoon and were blown away by the beauty of the place. Every staff member we interacted with couldn’t do enough for us and they made our time there very special. The resort is stunning and the food, drinks especially the cocktails were brilliant. Really enjoyed the night with a traditional village meal and entertainment with African dancing. Great for a romantic getaway and definitely a 5* resort

I'd like to take the time to thank ALL your staff for the wonderful holiday we have just returned from. Your hotel was first class and I cannot really think of anything that could have improved on the experience. The room, grounds, facilities, entertainment etc etc were amazing. The real stars though were your staff who deserve the 5 star rating. THANK YOU
