The hotel was right on the ocean, at the edge of the Zona Colonial and near the big casinos in the other direction. 3 friendly guys run the place -- Luis, who I think is the primary owner and speaks good English, Juan, his brother in law, and Manuel, his cousin. They were all super nice. The room I took was on the second floor with a small terrace overlooking the Malacon and the ocean right on the other side of the street. (there is no swimming there). No food served there right now but they had a restaurant that may reopen soon. Go out the front door, turn right, then right again, walk 2 short blocks and there is a great and cheap restaurant on the other side of the street on the corner. Sorry I don't remember its name. ||||Hotel La Llave Del Mar was excellent for a moderately priced hotel. Super recommended.
