Hotel La Locanda

Great location. Near lots of lovely restaurants and shops. Staff are fabulous and so helpful. |The room we had was clean and spacious. The bathroom had been redone in last few years. It was spacious and had everything required. |Car parking is 3 mins walk and costs €2 per hour or €12 for the day.

Delightful old-style hotel. Nice spacious room, very spacious bathroom (by Italian standards), very comfortable bed and linens. WiFi worked well. Very nice continental breakfast (Anglo-Saxons please note - cooked breakfast items are extra!). Nice location, apart from the parking which, as in most Tuscan hilltop towns, is a complete bugger. We parked in the free parking where the camper vans park, and I went back with a driver whom the hotel arranged, to pick up the luggage. The cost was 25 Euros, which is what a paid parking lot would have cost, had I been able to find a space. My suggestion - follow the hotel's directions and advice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Acoustics really are terrible in the breakfast room and other areas. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast okay. Great location. Great staff. Modicum wi-fi. Too bad the first bathroom switch is the shower, not the toilet. AND do be careful of the step down to the toilet in the middle of the night.

Located just within the walls, La Locanda was the perfect location for exploring Volterra. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. There is convenient parking close to the hotel.

Central walk everywhere. Great breakfast, elevator, windows that open, and a very nice large bathroom. Desk to work at. Very helpful reception staff. Super duper clean, and a pleasure to stay. You will get a great nights sleep. Enjoy this hotel.

Absolutely the worst customer service of a hotel I have ever experienced.||It's hot as hell in our room and the man at the desk cannot help, cannot answer a question- just keeps saying we will get a free room tomorrow.||I don't give a crap about tomorrow as we leave tomorrow.||We are in the room sweating .||||Not acceptable!!!!||At all.||||Avoid at all cost. A room tomorrow isn't what we need. We need a comfortable room tonight. Hasn't cooled and has only gotten hotter. ||||Having someone at the desk at night that cannot help and WONT help is the worst thing ever in the hospitality industry.||||I will never come here again nor book my clients

Perfect location in historic Volterra. Parking nearby. Staff is great!! Breakfast is delicious.

Beautifully run hotel in the heart of Volterra. Bathroom was large with a jetted tub/shower combination. It was not easy getting into the tub as it was deep but the jetted tub felt good after a long day of walking around the city. Breakfast was delightful and plentiful. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the street and was bright. Closet space was great and room was clean and well maintained.
