The hotel is good, but it has both pros and cons. I'll start with the location. The hotel is quite easy to find. The reception has a nice staff. The hotel has a delicious breakfast, unfortunately, there were no vegetables, but it's not entirely critical. You can find there a variety of pastries, cereals and drinks. Breakfast is not included into the main cost, so take this into account. The interior of the rooms is cosy and comfortable, huge windows, soft bed and air conditioner is especially pleasant for hot summer days. Bed linen and towels were changed every day, which is nice. BUT, they don't give disposable slippers in the rooms, which was a problem. Also, only one bottle of water was allocated for two people, which was not very convenient. The bathroom has soap and shower gel which can also be used as shampoo. I recommend staying here for a couple of nights, but for more time it's still not a good option.

Pretty district, clean but very small rooms. Comfy bad and linens! Indeed recently renovated- bathroom looks new and good AC. However no hairdryer in the room, no slippers and only 1 (0.5) complementary bottle of water. Personal is friendly; breakfast is average and 14€ per person (2 types of meat and cheese, fish, pastry, boiled eggs, yogurt). Would be good to have fresh veggies as well. We paid 220€ for one night in June which I find quite expensive considering the services.

Overview: nice hotel in a decent area with reasonable prices for Paris. Rooms: we booked the studio for 4 people. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The bathroom was nice and the shower was amazing. 1 bed and one sofa bed. Came with towels and a hair dryer and also had a microwave along with the fridge. A/C was nice and refreshing. Only problem was that there was an annoying knocking noise coming from outside the wall. Service: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was very good. It is served from 7 AM - 10 AM. It included croissants, mini donuts, Belgian waffles, apple pie (delicious), toast, eggs, yogurt with toppings (an assortment of berries and you can also combine it with the cereal served), cereal (granola, museli and chocolate cereal), coffee, juices, ham, cheese, smoked salmon and an assortment of fruits jams and spreads. Location: The hotel is situated in a nice area near the pernety stop on the metro, allowing quick access from various points of Paris. There are a handful of nice restaurants, bakeries and bars near as well.

Good hotel in a great arrondissement. The rooms are very small but clean. The price is a bit too high in my opinion considering the size of the rooms etc. Best asset is the location. Close to so many cafes, theatres, restaurants, parks and arts. The neighborhood is great and authentic not completely swallowed by tourists ( at least you don’t feel it ) so you will bump into locals . Always nice !

The hotel is very pleasant. Despite the proximity to the subway, the side location of the Hotel makes it very quiet and peaceful. Rooms clean, spacious, beds very comfortable :) |Definitely recommend, as a family-friendly place, and because of its location as an ideal place for an outing.

Staff are excellent and the location is quiet, loads of places to eat and a short metro from the centre. rooms serve a purpose as a place to sleep. breakfast was good for only 14 euros.

The hotel has been (recently) renovated and we had a nice modern room (including bathroom). It is situated at a nice location in Paris, away from the hustle and bustle, but still easily reachable by metro from the city center and all the sights. We did feel the room was quite small and lacked some amenities such as, most particularly, a safe. The bed could also have been a little more comfortable, as the mattress was relatively hard and the pillow gave little support. Nevertheless, a great place to stay at for a few days of Paris without spending too much money!

Rooms are small, but cute! The hotel has a great location, metro station Pernaty is just two mins away!

Yelp
Trendy, Funky, Local, Artistic & Affordable = I'm Sold! I did my share of research on Hotels from America before jetting off to Paris and this one intrigued me more than any other place I found. The colorful & funky interior and design of this boutique hotel along with the personal touch of breakfast in the common room, a reading lounge and even a garden with outside seating! I also like that it is a local neighborhood hotel and not in the busy madness of some of the more central locations of Paris. There are plenty of cafe's, restaurants, shops, banks, grocery stores, markets all within walking distance along with the train and taxi stand! There is only one small catch and that is there is no air conditioning (may be why it was such a great price). Usually that would not even matter in Paris but when we visited it happen to be almost 90 out every day, the nights were cool though. If you don't mind just leaving the windows open and catching the cool Paris breeze then who gives a crud about the Air Conditioning. ;-) Breakfast is not included with the price but it is offered for a small fee per person (worth it in my opinion). They have a wide selection on goodies for breakfast along with fresh breads and jams (YUMMM). There is NOTHING uppity about this Hotel. This is the type of place I would return over and over to.

Yelp
Cute hotel, friendly staff, great location and comfy rooms, what more do you want? I only stayed here one night as my previous hotel was sold out. I really liked my previous hotel, until I realized what I was missing, the warmth and friendliness of the human touch! Adrian and Didier were both warm and lovely every time I encountered them. They were both genuinely interested in making my stay pleasant and offered help and suggestions if needed. At this point I'd been staying in the area for a week, so I had my routine down, but it was nice to get to chat with some nice locals. My room was a single and I got it at a good rate. Despite being a single room, it was spacious for me. I even had room to do my evening exercise routine. The bathroom was compact but totally functional. The room and the bathroom both had windows overlooking a quiet residential street. Around the corner were several eateries, bakeries and great restaurants. Half a block away was the Pernety station. This area is fantastic because it is so authentic. It is not overloaded with tourists but it is still very convenient. People are friendly and you have your choice of Bakeries every morning on your way to the metro stop. If I was to return to Paris tomorrow, I would most definitely book a room here!

Yelp
Charming hotel nestled in the friendly neighbourhood area south of Montparnasse - always spotlessly clean and the funky design and décor were really appreciated. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! Tiny little room, but this is Paris. Off the beaten track, but only 3 mins from the nearest metro which has you right in the touristy spots within 15. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
We did a LOT of research into Paris hotels before booking and chose La Maison Montparnasse for a couple of reasons: -Easy online booking and communication -Located off the beaten path (but as others have said, VERY easy to get everywhere you need to, and quickly) Once we arrived, it was even better than we had imagined. This is well above your standard European 2-star hotel. It's clean, bright, has a great decor, and plenty of little amenities (soaps/shampoos, hair dryers). The staff is friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is FANTASTIC. Lots of great restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. We were there for 6 nights, and it was fantastic. We would certainly go back.

Yelp
A great hotel. UNTIL we had to pay for our breakfast. The people who set up our trip said our breakfast would be free at the hotel, but we were told he had to pay for our two days that we were there.

Yelp
The rooms are reasonably sized and very clean. Toilet is separate from shower. Free wifi. Great view. Friendly staff. Very close to metro and good cafés. My only negative, which really isn't a big deal, is that the elevator is super small. We got a great deal on the price and we were really happy. It has a welcoming and boutique kind of feel. I would definitely stay here again!
