It’s not a bad hotel, but there are better ones. It meets the expected standards and quality of a 3-star hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. However, a few things could definitely be improved. Particularly the room technology. I forgot my phone charging cable, and while the receptionist had some trouble understanding what type I needed, we eventually found one I could borrow. Unfortunately, neither of the plugs in the room worked. What a bummer! There was also a nice coffee machine (thanks for that) but no water kettle. I suppose the idea was to use hot water from the coffee machine, but unfortunately, the temperature isn’t quite right for tea. Just a small suggestion from a tea drinker! Then the bathroom (the room was in a corner): entering in the shower was challenging. It was far too narrow ! I would truly suggest to inform or obviously avoid giving that room for people with physical difficulties or limited mobility (tall, big, pregnant woman....)

With 2 young kids, it was convenient being so close to a mall with lots of food options. The metro is close by, and uber is accessible and reliable as well. We were able to get 2 rooms that were basically connected to eachother to be with our kids and still have space for everyone. The breakfast had wonderful options as well. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We had a great stay!

The location of the hotel was great. Less than a 5 min walk to the Place d’Italie metro stop which allowed us easy access to everywhere we wanted to go. We had the family room, which was two connected rooms, one with two twins and one with a bed slightly smaller than a queen. As mentioned in other reviews, the rooms (and bathroom) were very small. We only had carry-on suitcases and travel backpacks and it was a fairly tight fit. The breakfast was included and it was decent but plenty good enough to start your day. I did like the service at the hotel. Prior to our trip I sent several emails asking questions and they were always replied to promptly, professionally and were very helpful. At the hotel itself the woman who checked us in was very nice and helpful. I received several emails during our stay from the hotel manager asking how our stay was going. I will note that the walls are fairly thin, we could often hear people thumping around and doing other things.

Pros: - great location, less than a 5 minute walk from the Place d’Italie metro -walking distance to wonderful restaurants, shops, bakery and grocery store - clean rooms - we booked a family room that had two rooms, two bathrooms and a small hallway. - great continental breakfast - great value Cons: - rooms were tiny but to be expected in Paris - also had tiny bathrooms We loved our stay here even though our room was small. Will definitely stay here again.

Don't stay here. I left 2 days early on a 4 day stay the room was making me sick. I stayed in room 64. It was dirty. Not anything in the room. No soap.... Mold, dusty dirty. Just a room. They put plastic sheets on the bed so you sweat to death all night. Oh and you cant control the room temperature.

Great hotel in an amazing location. Walkable to numerous sites like Notre Dame cathedral, the Louvre… but the best thing about this hotel is the pillows on the bed; luxurious and conforming! I will consider staying here again if I am in Paris.

Beyond expectations! The hotel is located near Place d’Italie station (13 arr), near the police station. The neighborhood is peaceful and we feel safe. The room looks a bit dated and small but totally acceptable. We’ll stay here again when we come back to Paris.

Very kind and helpfull staff, clean rooms. Next time when we go there I book an upgrade because there were no chairs to sit comfortably in our room and we would have liked more and better body care products.

Yelp
We were in Paris to see all the typical touristy things not to stay in a hotel room so we booked small and budget friendly. The bed was comfortable, staff was friendly, and rooms clean. Free wi-fi. Would stay again. The location is near a franprix grocery store so we often picked up some items to picnic during the day. It is also a stones throw away from a bakery- we skipped the expensive hotel breakfast and walked over to the bakery for fresh quiche or pastries. Location is outside of the main attractions but really close to a metro stop. It is not really close to great dinner restaurants so you'll probably want to eat before coming back to the hotel. We asked on day one if we needed to leave our key, we told no and didn't our entire stay. It's a feature, not a bug- if you worry about pick-pockets or misplacing your key, leave it.

Yelp
Hotel La Manufacture seemed like a great idea at first blush. Attempts to pay for internet access via credit card lead to my credit card company blocking the shady seeming charges and calling me at my old desk in New York to confirm it was me. Why don't hotels just get with the 21st century and offer wifi with the room rate? Breakfast itself was fine, but the environment and staff had an unpleasantly rigid feel. Best part about the hotel? Its proximity to metro (so you can get out of the 13th and to more inspiring climes.) Bottom line: I wouldn't want to return. And if you're thinking of coming here on business and your business requires you to get online, think again!

Yelp
What a great experience! We stayed in the Eiffel Room and it was everything we wanted in a Paris hotel room. Aside from the view, the room was large with a roomy bathroom! The staff were all very nice and friendly; they even mapped out how to get around the City on the Metro. I recommend adding the hotel breakfast to the room...it had everything you need to start a great day of wandering around the city. The hotel is also very close to a Metro stop which made traveling around very easy.

Yelp
Better than the Bed and Breakfast we stayed at in Belgium but certainly not like the Hilton in London. The staff was not helpful unless you insisted. The craziest thing...which we did not find out until our 3rd day was that we had to leave our room key at the front desk every time we left the hotel. This was not consistent with each desk person. The location is great if you do not have a rental car. Otherwise it will drive you crazy. Our "small" corner room with small balcony was nice, but we couldn't see anything. I would not recommend anyone that needs a little space to stay here.

Yelp
The location is great, close to everything. Staff is great, rooms are well equipped and clean. The only downside: It is a little too noisy in the morning. 8:30-9:00AM on a Saturday woke up with drill and hammer noises. I'm sure it doesn't happen all the time though. I recommend it for the location.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at Hotel La Manufacture for 3 nights at the end of June. I chose the hotel because it was outside of the major touristy areas, but close to a metro station. It's also more reasonably priced than many hotels in Paris, costing around 100 euro a night. The hotel is really easy to get to from the airport, just catch the RER B train to Denfert-Rochereau and then transfer to Metro line 6 to Place d'Italie station, which is a very short walk from the hotel. Warning: this is a huge pain in the butt with a large suitcase because you have to carry the suitcase up and down many sets of stairs, but is infinitely cheaper than a cab or airport shuttle. I want to update from Wise C's review and say that you can buy metro tickets at this station from either a machine or from the customer service window. The hotel itself is very nice and situated on a quiet street. It's within walking distance to many bakeries and restaurants. The hotel does offer breakfast, but it's really expensive, so you're much better off going essentially anywhere else. If you walk north of the hotel, you'll reach a windy street that has a ton of neat restaurants, grocery stores, and bars that are reasonably priced. It's also really easy to catch the Metro anywhere in the city. For example, it took around 20-25 minutes to get to the Eiffel Tower from the hotel. The lobby is clean and bright, and the staff are friendly. We booked a club room with air conditioning. While the room was quite small (it was dominated by the queen size bed) it was clean. The room was also equipped with free wifi, you just have to agree to the terms and conditions every 24 hours. On our final night, the maid forgot to give us a second towel, but this was easily fixed by going down to the front desk. The only negative about this hotel is that you have to drop your room key off at the front desk before you venture out for the day. This wouldn't be so bad, but they don't do any sort of ID check when you ask for your key back at the end of the day. You could theoretically say any room number and get that key. There is a safe in the room for your valuables, and we didn't have any problem when we stayed there, but it's quite the security risk. I really hope they improve this system. Overall, I really liked Hotel La Manufacture, and I would happily stay here again.

Yelp
Very comfortable stay. Bed and pillows very high quality. Excellent air-conditioning. Close to metro and bus stops for easy access to the sights. Extremely friendly and efficient staff. No problems connecting to Internet. We had a standard room, which was just a little small. But very good value. Would stay again.

Yelp
My wife and I recently spent 5 nights at the La Manufacture hotel during our excursion through Paris. Overall the hotel is a hidden gem and quite a bargain with only a few minor flaws. Here is a quick rundown of our experience: Pros - The location of this hotel is nearly perfect. Away from the craziness of city center, yet perfectly located within walking distance of MANY great cafes, restaurants, the Latin quarter as well as the metro station. During a mid day break we could find a new café to enjoy a glass of wine or a new place to dine every evening. This greatly reduces costs associated with taxi rides and dealing with the metro. In regards to the metro - its worth mentioning that one can not purchase new metro station tickets at the closest station - place d'italie. You must walk towards the opposite direction down the street to Los gobelins to do so. Cons: The hotel has a policy that you must hand over your room key when leaving the hotel for the day. This is not a big deal. HOWEVER upon return when requesting your room key, the hotel staff NEVER asks for any form of ID. Anyone could walk up to the front desk and state a random room number and gain access to any room. A simple measure of requesting ID upon returning the key could make the security of this hotel MUCH better. Lastly, another area of improvement could be the breakfast. The cost of breakfast is 15 Euro which is a bit pricy considering what they offer - pastries, cereal and cured meats. I suggest walking across the street to the café with the identical name of the hotel - La Manufacture and ordering the complete breakfast for $12 Euro. Its less expensive and much much better. Overall this is a great place to stay. With two small improvements this hotel outshines the competition for the price range.
