Hotel La Palma au Lac

I recently stayed at this hotel for a business trip and had a wonderful experience. The view is absolutely stunning, the breakfast is plentiful and varied, and the staff are kind and always ready to help. |The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. The location is also convenient, with restaurants and key business areas within walking distance. |I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure stays.

Wow what a fabulous hotel. We absolutely loved staying here and it was great to stay at a Swiss hotel stepping up standards. ||The reception staff were attentive and patient. The waiting on staff were equally so.||Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.||Excellent location.||A really comfortable stay and wished we had booked for longer. It was so good we have been spoilt and now we expect the same from other 4 star Swiss hotels!||Keep up the good work!

Friendly service. Room AC didn't work. However rooms were lovely. Comfortable bed and great sheets. Pillows weren't supportive. Restaurant was okay and a little costly, however, the staff was friendly.

No such thing as a bad view from any of the rooms here. Hotel has a great balance for the calming break mixed with a host of physical activities like paddle boarding, cycling, or jogging along the lake. In an age where hotel prices have frankly lost touch with reality, la Palma offers a much needed money for value option to those in need of a mental reset.

The hotel was clean and comfortable - although the beds are pretty hard (I prefer a softer mattress). The breakfast is second to none, and the staff were all as friendly as they could be. The bar is small, and they try hard to give you what you want even when a "trained" bartender isn't available. We stayed 6 nights and had no complaints at all. We had rented a car and they offered the "parking garage", which has space for 3 cars. We were the only one using it that week. You have to get out of your car to open the gate, but it's better than getting up early to move your car or pay for hourly parking across the street. It's close to good restaurants (the hotel restaurant is fine) - and a really great one (Osteria del Centenario) is less than a block away. We loved this place and would stay again and tell all our friends to do so.

An exceptional stay at Hotel La Palma au Lac! Perched right on the shores of Lake Maggiore, the location is absolutely stunning—just steps from the train station and historic town centre, with breathtaking lake views from the terrace and many rooms . Our room was modern, bright, and impeccably clean, featuring a comfy balcony perfect for morning coffee with a waterfront panorama . The breakfast buffet was outstanding—rich, varied, and delicious, best enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the lake . The spa, with its sauna, steam room, jacuzzis facing the water, and tranquil atmosphere, offered the perfect relaxation spot . Throughout our stay, the warm and attentive staff—from reception to restaurant—went above and beyond to ensure our comfort . With stylish design, excellent amenities, and unbeatable service in a postcard-perfect lakeside setting, Hotel La Palma au Lac is a true gem. Highly recommended—we'll be back!

Excellent location, great spa and service and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was enough but we were really disappointed with the quality of the food during lunch. Terrible pasta al tartufo and tortellini, not elaborated at all.

Despite its premium pricing, this hotel falls significantly short of expectations. No parking or WiFi details at check-in. At 9:30 AM, there was no hot water or water pressure. The restaurant was disappointing and not worth visiting. On a positive note, the cleaning staff was friendly, and the view was spectacular. Unfortunately, the wellness facilities were mediocre, making the overall experience feel like poor value for money.
