Love this hotel! Friendly, clean, rustic. beautiful birds. Tasty food and excellent staff. From the minute you see the folk art decor until you sadly leave the flowers and views you will be delighted. This may be the most charming hotel in El Salvador.

Lovely property with extensive grounds. Really feels integrated with the surrounding natures. Very friendly, professional staff. Excellent wifi, with different signals available in rooms and the restaurant. The dinner at the restaurant was very good, though somewhat expensive compared to similar venues elsewhere in the country. Breakfasts on both days of my stay were excellent. I managed two lengths in the very clean, large, deep pool: it is under shade and rather cold this time of year even in the middle of the day! Pottery classes were theoretically part of the tariff; presumably this is more directed towards groups than individual travellers on short stays.

If you are accustomed to staying in 5 star hotels with turn down service and terry cloth robes, do not come to El Salvador. If you want to experience this beautiful country without luxury, stay at the Hotel La Palma. The grounds are beautiful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. It's cool at night in the mountains, so it was wonderful sleeping with the windows open. I shared a room with 2 other women, as there were not enough rooms for our group to all have doubles. We had 4 beds, however, and plenty of space. There was hot water in the shower (not everywhere in El Salvador). The crepes I had for breakfast were delicious! The hotel is within walking distance of the town center and the Semilla de Dios - the artist community specializing in the La Palma style art founded by Fernando Llort. We did not use the swimming pool, but it looked very pleasant. I recommend this hotel and a visit to La Palma! I do not know the exact rates for the rooms, as I was part of a group whose rooms were paid for by the leader.

We arrive late in the eve after a long drive. The grounds are lush and beautifully landscaped. We enjoyed a good breakfast in the open air restaurant. Manager negotiated with us on the price and helped us with a tour of MiraMundo. Staff was friendly and attentive.

We stayed here one night, and for the price ($42 for a private room with bathroom, which is double what we normally pay, for accommodation that is better than this place). The sheets didn't fit the bed. The doors and windows are not mosquito-proofed. There are holes and tears in the bed linen. And we couldn't get wifi in our room. For the price, we consider this to be a pretty poor performance. The staff were fine, friendly. Coffee in the morning was not very good. There is a lot of simple, basic things they could improve that would greatly improve the hotel overall.

Nice, brightly painted, clean room, bathroom with warm water. There is a restaurant but it is mainly geared up for groups, the a la carte menu was quite expensive. There is a pool but it was too cool to want to use it and it's in the shade pm

If you want to be away from everything, this place is a must. They have their own place to explore and it is within steps from the little towns park. Highly recommended. This is the oldest hotel in La Palma (founded in 1942) however the premises and amenities are in great shape. Awesome food and great staff. Very close to the highest place in El Salvador.

It is very nice place with great atmosphere! Hotel has perfect location, swimming pool and restaurant with big terrase. Our room was beautifuly decorated, big and clean and staff was very friendly. Especialy the owner, Mr. Salvador, who took care of us from the beginning. We had a problem with withdrawing money and he invited us for a dinner and morning coffee and next day he took us in his car to San Salvador to solve our problem. We really appreciated this and stayed 2 more nights. La Palma is beautiful small town, from where you can visit Cerro del Pital which is great half day trip. I highly reccomend this place!!
