Hotel La Perla Ascona

We returned to La Perla because we loved it last year. The staff is very friendly and does all possible to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast buffet with large choice. Nice views over Ascona and the lake, bus stop and boat jetty are only 5 minutes walking distance. We highly recommend the hotel.

Hotel Check In great service,on the 28th of May however the nice lady forgot to give us the Ticino card….. ||Room has a nice view, nice balcony. And a fridge||Very thin walls you can hear the neighbors conversation…. That was a bit strange.||Showerhead a bit wobbly, shower curtain interesting design choice, towel old and thin not very comfortable.||Breakfast not a lot of choices. Considering multi cultural guests. ||Check out 30th of May Receptionist should maybe look for another job, she came across rude and unfriendly. Only forced a smile out when we said goodbye.||If we were to come back to Ascona. We would most likely look for another hotel.

The view from our room is outstanding!! The location is just perfect, 5 minutes walk from the Main Street and the lake. Room is just perfect as well as the bed. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t the fact that we had to pay 12 euros for the parking and on Expedia, it was mentioned included.

The beds are hard, the sheets and towels are thin and scratchy, the pillows were somehow flat and lumpy at the same time. The walls are also thin, so we heard people coming and going at all hours of the night and early morning. On top of that, there was construction happening on the property, so we were woken up at 7am each morning by drilling and hammering right outside our window. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable place to enjoy a relaxing holiday, look elsewhere!

A unique place above the village, tranquility and quality. Very friendly, professional and attentive staff, from reception to restaurant. Very good price quality ratio. Clean and spacious rooms. Anex buildings are very nice and the rooms are living like in an own villa. Good, large quality breakfast and the staff is bringing constantly fresh food until 10:00 am. Definitively recommend to stay in this hotel, also for longer. Thank you for taking care of us in such good way to make our short stay to come back.

A very beautiful and cozy Hotel. A bit far from the city center but that compensates in quality and service. Breakfast was delicious and with a variety of options.

Stayed there mid-July for 2 nights. I have been a little annoyed on arrival to find that there is no restaurant while the web site still mention one. While this was a little let down, there is in any case lot of good restaurants in town, just a few minutes walk from the hotel, where you can eat with a view on the lake. So at the end it was probably better that way, we had nice dinners in town.|We have been staying at the side Villa not the main building, room was rather big, bit old style furniture and setup, but comfortable and clean. The room had small terrace overlooking the garden, that was a nice add-on. The breakfast was ok, with enough selection to make everyone happy. Overall, price quality ratio is very good and I can only recommend the hotel. The fact that it's just minute away from the old town and lake is a plus. |Just a warning, the hotel offer parking at very good price (9 chf/day) this is indeed lot cheaper than the communal underground parking (24 chf/day) but consider the car size, the parking of the hotel was designed in a time when peoples owned cars like lada and VW Golf, not the SUV's and long hatchback of today. First day I could not take my car out as others blocked the way, had to ask a guess to move his car so I could go out. For second night I put my car in communal parking as we wanted to move early morning and did not want to worry others guess.|As summary, I would definitely reconsider La Perla if I have to stay in Ascona again.

At late notice we were looking to stay for a few days in Ascona and found the hotel LaPerla. The hotel is perfectly located just outside the pedestrian area in Ascona, with the lake and the lake-side bars just a few minutes walk away. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very comfortable and very aware about their Covid responsibilities. Our room was functional with everything we needed including a balcony with a panoramic view over Ascona, the lakes and the mountains beyond. Due to Switzerland's Covid restrictions with respect to restaurants, we chose to book half board. This was a great decision. The four course evening menu was delicious. Thank you to everyone at La Perla for making our short break so relaxing and enjoyable.
