We stayed two nights in this hotel. It was situated on a narrow, one way road. So, while the parking was free, it was impossible to stop immediately outside the hotel to unload luggage. However, directly across the street there was a free underground car park, 2 levels down, across from the entrance to the hotel. There was a lift to get out of the car park, but then a flight of stairs down and across a courtyard to gain access to the hotel entrance. So, bear in mind the parking issue when booking. It's fine if you only have light luggage, but more difficult with heavier bags. Also, there is no lift in the hotel. So, as our room was one level up a flight of stairs, we decided to leave our main luggage in the boot of our car & brought things up to our room as we needed them. The reception staff were friendly and the room was a very good size. But the corridors and the room had more of a dormitory feel; functional, but a bit soulless. The beds were comfortable and it was an easy location as a base to wander around the town and convenient for visiting our planned tourist destinations of La Rabida Monastery, Muelle de la Carabelas & Playa de Punta Umbria. It was also very reasonably priced, although breakfast was not included in the room price.

We were surprised when we discovered that the underground parking in the nice square opposite the restaurant is free of charge. That is definitely a plus.||Food is simple but good, we went for the tapas menu creative and tasty, plus some grilled merluza, and the service is friendly and professional. The price is ridiculous, we were expecting to pay the double. Definitely a good choice.

The room was large and although an older hotel we were greeted with smiles and a very helpful and friendly front desk manager. The hotel is very pretty, and very clean. The restaurant is fun to look around at the old memorabilia and the staff made our dinner very pleasant. The hotel is a little older but we loved our visit.

We liked everything. Right in front of Plaza de España. Very helpful and friendly staff. Everything was extremely clean. Superb comfortable rooms. Great bar and restaurant with delicious food. Complimentary underground and secure parking. Thank you so much for a great stay in Palos de la Frontera

Arriving in the afternoon we were given room 111 for a 4 night booking. It's a twin room akin to a prison cell that has a window opening up on to a light well - by that I mean if you look up you can see the open sky but opposite and to the sides are walls / windows for other hotel rooms.||||We decided to have lunch in the Pinta's restaurant (enjoyed the restaurant) and enquire about a better room but were told none were available. Deciding we'd better make the most of it we had a few glasses of wine elsewhere then went to the room to shower and change early evening.||||It was then that we found the shower area to be disgustingly dirty - the shower enclosure had black mould in it and the shower door is a 3 section slider which the cleaners must never clean the inside of it. If you ran your finger nail up it there was lots of soap scum. This led to a bit closer inspection and the grout in the tiles was black in some places but could be removed by wiping. There were hairs on the floor and walls of the bedroom area. The old air con unit had had parts removed and just left on the tv stand, the tv, lamp and picture were covered in a thick layer of dust. It was minging.||||Unfortunately the staff in the hotel speak no English nor us Spanish and, as we'd had alcohol, trying to go elsewhere that night was not an option but at least the bed sheets looked clean.||||The next morning we checked out and the owner / manager seemed quite rude. I hope he reads this as he probably thinks we left because of the view but we left because it was dirty.||||It's a real shame as the hotel is in a good location and has a good restaurant but someone really needs to instigate a deep clean.

We wanted to stay overnight in Palos de La Frontera to be able to visit where Columbus in 1492 left when de discovered America. Hotel La Pinta (named after on of Columbus’ ships) is a simple, but very OK hotel located in the main street. Many of the rooms don’t have any view, but the interior is pretty new and the restaurant does have surprisingly good food at offer. There aren’t many hotels in Palos, but this one is a good choice.

Well.. I don't know who put 8,2 on booking!? It was very dirty ! Awful! I found all this black hair around the room and bathroom. The furniture look like from my great-grandmother. I stayed there for one night and definitely I will not stay there again. Only one plus - it's in the city centre.

Coffee was bad, nothing like the cafe con leche that is so great in Spain. No jamon for breakfast, and the bread was stale
