Friendly staff, chic yet cozy hotel with excellent soundproofing. - Detailed review: . Friendly and respectful staff. A chic yet cozy hotel with elegant rooms. The soundproofing of the windows is excellent – you literally don’t hear anything from outside. I did not experience or review the breakfast, as it was too early for me (before 10 a.m.), but during the welcome drink I saw the terrace, which seemed like a peaceful and well-kept lounge and dining area with a beautiful view of the lake. Only one small downside was the bar service: the person in charge seemed untrained and uncommunicative, with limited language skills – not what you would expect in a five-star hotel.

I usually love staying at La Réserve and have always appreciated the high level of service and comfort. However, my recent stay was a bit disappointing. We had to change rooms due to a strong sewage smell and plumbing noises, and the new room unfortunately had another issue — the bathroom light stayed on all night and couldn’t be turned off. This affected the overall comfort of the stay, which is not what I’ve come to expect from La Réserve. In addition, I noticed that the pet fee has increased to €75, which seems quite high. In most resorts or 5-star hotels, pets are usually welcomed with a small bed, a blanket, and sometimes a little gift box — gestures that make a big difference. I still have great affection for your hotel and hope these points can be addressed so that future stays live up to the usual standards of excellence that I value so much at La Réserve.

La Réserve Resort in Knokke is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are spacious, elegant and very comfortable, with stunning views of the lake. Breakfast is absolutely delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. The staff is attentive and professional, and the location is perfect for a relaxing seaside getaway.

Beautiful hotel, but the 5-star service simply isn’t there… You’d expect a 5-star hotel to offer premium service with genuine care for its guests — unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience at La Réserve. The focus seems more on maximising revenue than delivering a memorable stay. Rates are already high, yet essentials like parking and breakfast come at an extra charge. We requested a late check-out and were met with a vague “let’s see tomorrow,” which didn’t feel particularly accommodating. Room service was a real disappointment. The menu had very few items actually available, our order took over 40 minutes to arrive, and what we received was clearly microwaved freezer food — not what you’d expect at €40+ per dish in a luxury hotel. Overall, a beautiful property let down by inconsistent service and a lack of attention to detail. Sadly, this seems to be a recurring theme in Knokke.

The newly refurbished La Reserve is really a 5 star hotel located near to the Casino in Knokke Heist. Went to stay there recently and the reception was so kind to upgrade us to a junior suite with a terrace overlooking the lake. The room is modern and clean but I feel that they could do better with the toiletries such as providing cotton pads and also a platter of fruits or something to munch on when you check in. We were given a free welcome drink at the bar which you can choose between a glass of champagne or ice tea. The bar is really beautiful but the service is really lacking. There's only one staff at the bar and we waited for more than 20 mins before we were served our champagne. I think there's a lack of training as well. Parking is not free. It's very common here in Belgium that hotel guests need to pay for parking as well. The gym is really good. It has all the equipments I need. The pool, sauna and Hamman is beautifully renovated. Good to have these facilities especially during bad weather days if you can't access the beach. Access to the beach is 5 mins walk which is very near. The breakfast is already very good and lots of choices. I will definitely come back to stay.

Fireworks menu: no insight in the menu and no flexibility. Not everyone eats veal fyi. Waiter forgets appetizers, we have to ask ourselves, veal is overcooked and when we ask to wait for the dessert, the waiter brings it 5 minutes later when I ask to bring it back to the kitchen. 2 seconds later another waiter (blond, female) puts them on the table and moves away immediately with no questions asked. Great locations, terrible service, mediocre food. Veal isn’t hard to cook in a kitchen like that, the oven does it for you. Room three stars as I cannot review that, the building is amazing. euros well spent coucke

Unprofessional staff on all fronts. Overpriced for what it is. Breakfast: Had to wait 40’ for our eggs. Another 25’ for our coffee. All tables around us were complaining too - great atmosphere 🙃🙃

The hotel has beautiful and well-maintained facilities, but unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for the terrible service — especially at the bar. The staff were clearly untrained, unprofessional, and completely unprepared to serve a high-end clientele. There was a lack of courtesy, attention, and basic efficiency. It was honestly one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had in a place that presents itself as luxurious. Another unbelievable issue was being told that guests are not allowed to use the pool or spa after checkout. I have never seen this in any hotel — not even in far more luxurious international properties. This policy is completely disconnected from the standards expected at this level and shows a clear failure in guest experience management. I definitely won’t return and would not recommend this hotel.

Imho the best hotel in town! Comfort, nice staff great bistro with excellent breakfast. Golf cart for rent possible which provides a unique ride in Knokke.
