Hotel La Scalinatella

This was the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at (and my husband works for a luxury hotel!). We stayed for our 20th anniversary vacation and wow did this staff make us feel special. They encourage you to have a drink (complimentary iced tea) on the balcony while they gather what’s needed for check in, take your luggage to your room for you, and escort you to the room to tell you all about the hotel. When we entered our room, my mouth dropped. There were two full bathrooms, chocolate goodies, and the biggest balcony I’ve ever seen, complete with lemon trees! It’s GORGEOUS inside and out. I can’t say it enough. Simple, clean, classic, magical. Breakfast was amazing too. And they really care if you like the food! I adored the breakfast manager (wish I knew his name), Luigi, Domingo, and Giovanni were amazing too. I can’t say enough how kind they were the whole time.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this hotel during our trip to Capri last summer and decided to have dinner here. As soon as we stepped foot on the property, we were treated as if we were guests, or even family. The service was unlike anything I've ever seen before and I deeply regret not choosing to stay here during our vacation. The food, views, service, was unbeatable. Happy to see that this hotel also received their 5th star, ranking them among the best of the best, well deserved!

I can’t say enough about how incredible this place is! The staff is over 5 stars, as they are there to help with whatever you need, it’s like they are one step ahead on service at all times and make you feel right at home. I got cold at lunch and they put a blanket around me to keep me warm, that’s 5 stars. The owner kindly greeted us as he was on the property. Our room was immaculate, so clean and updated. The turn down service is 5 star. The food is so delicious! Honestly we both could go on and on about this place but everyone should see it for themselves because it is truly a gem in Capri with wonderful people who care about you and your stay. Thank you so much for accommodating us, we cannot wait to come back and see you all again!

Beautiful View, but far from the center considered the walk with the luggage. |Three swimming pools, only one - on another property - accesible for children. |To go there need to go out of the hotel, pass though another property and private houses, the n end up in the pool that is a 4 star standard. |The rooms are 4 star standard too, old furniture and bathroom/shower with stained steel from age. |Amenities are 4 star as well. |Good restaurant. |Too many stairs to go from room, to restaurant, to the pools. |No spa. |Modern gym but facing a falling apart building. |Small pets not accepted. |Won’t come back.

We had the most wonderful stay at La Scalinatella. Everything was perfect. The staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful, and the service was impeccable. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, and the views were stunning. Breakfast was included and was delicious—a huge special thanks to the entire staff. Luigi, Carlo and all of the concierges were amazing. Domenico, Giovanni and Georgia were exceptional. Also, thank you to the bartender, Roberto. We will most certainly be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay atLa Scalinatella. We cannot say enough about the staff and the service they provided. Our room was light and spacious. We did have to get instructions on how to use the numerous light switches in the room. There was a large patio with two lounge chairs and also a table inside with chairs. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool, but I would love to have had the chance.|| Back to the staff. Upon arriving the front desk personnel introduced themselves and welcomed us. Each time we came in or left the hotel Marco was sure to greet us. He would make sure to speak with us for a few minutes. Antonin helped us with air conditioning and when we went downtown Capri we ran into him. We told him we were taking the funicular back up to the top of the city and going to the hotel. He provided us with tickets for the funicular. The other staff members were always ready to help us also. Unfortunately, I didn’t get everyone’s name.

My stay at Scalinatella hotel in Capri was a fantastic experience, thanks to the exceptional service and the incredibly helpful staff. Dominic and Giovanni went out of their way to provide personalized recommendations that really enhanced our visit. The rooms were comfortable with stunning views, and the breakfast was a highlight—delicious and abundant. It's a perfect spot for a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay on the island.

The La Scalinatella restaurant in Positano is located in a fantastic view spot - a breathtaking view. The interior, design, and dishes are gourges. The staff was friendly and attentive, but when I go to this type of restaurant and spend about 300 euros. I have firm expectations about food quality, and this, in my opinion, was a weak point.|Instead of using an advantage of the great quality of products around Amalfi cost the chef overcompled it with the wired ingredients that doesn't meet the purpose. |Beside the complimentary bread that we've got for the starter I cant’t point a single dish that met our culinary expectation. In my opinion it was a fiasco!|I definitely will never return back will not recommend it to the people I know because it a waist of money. You can find way better restaurants in Positno with way better price over value ratio.
