This is not the hotel for everyone. If you are a 5 star all inclusive resort type who is put off by any small imperfection, it's not for you. If you are a seasoned budget traveller who wants a fairly inexpensive room near the bus terminal or airport (or both), I recommend it. We stayed overnight coming off the street after finding out that the next bus we could catch to Mazatlan wasn't until the next day (if only TAP bus line would allow us to book online from Canada it would have saved us a night, but that's another matter entirely - they don't seem to accept Canadian postal codes). Back to the hotel. The room was clean, the bathroom was probably a 7/10. The wifi was very good, but it dropped completely once so I reset what I assume was the router in the room and it got back online within 15 minutes. Who knows, it could have been a cable box for the TV. The TV is old tube style and up fairly high, but as long as we had wifi we were happy. The AC worked just fine, which was a plus after getting off the plane from the great wet Northwest and needing time to acclimatise. The only down side was someone had forgotten to stock the room with towels (or possibly we should have just asked) but we made do. There are nice common area balconies if you want to have a beverage or a snack in the evening. Pharmacy is next door. There are two solid local style restaurants a few doors down as well as street vendors during the day. One of the restaurants is very good for breakfast and has passable coffee - about $2-3 per person, but it gets busy so be a little patient. The staff was friendly.
