I stay in Paris about three times a year for work and I have to say that I was surprised at the state of this hotel. While I am sure at one point it was new and nicely presented, it now looks very tired. Dead flowers in the window box, missing hotel door numbers, dead or missing plants in the hallways, a broken clock in the bathroom, and a considerable amount of mold in the bathroom (I am more than happy to share photos). While one staff member was friendly, most were indifferent or too busy on their phones. I am unclear why the plastic key card needs to be turned in when leaving the hotel, this is a typical custom when the keys are metal but the only thing I can think of is that it turns off the lights when you leave. If this is going to be your policy, someone should be at the front desk and accessible at all times. Overall, I was disappointed given the high ratings on hotels.com. Other hotels in Paris at this price point are far better kept up. While the location was decent, it is directly next to a school which is extremely loud on weekdays. For a five night stay, I think the staff could have been friendlier and minimally replaced our water bottle one time (they provided one water during our five day stay). This hotel should really clean up the mold problems and address the rundown state of their property or lower their prices. There are far better hotels in Paris at this price, including in the 6th.
