Wonderful and memorable 4-night stay with family. Warm welcome by front desk at check-in. In fact, everyone at the front desk was friendly during stay. The room was spacious with delightful decor and accents. Bathroom was big and clean. The mini-refrigerator was a nice bonus. The A/C in the room provided immediate relief from the heat. Location is in a quiet neighborhood. And all points of interest are very walkable. Highly recommended!!!

Stayed a little over 2 weeks at the la villa victor hugo. Lots of reasons to recommend this hotel. |One the entire staff was helpful and very friendly. Made me feel comfortable here ,knowing someone was always able to give me good advice, like where I might get my SIM card changed since my eSIM was too complicated for me. Thx to Laura, Christiano, Nisa, Laura Li, and Mary. Everyone was super nice! |Two, the location was perfect. Central location is what I was looking for . Tram stop from airport was 2 minute walk on Blvd Victoria Hugo. You’re close to both tram lines, not far from old town , the nicest pedestrian streets with shops and restaurants are close also. Used public transportation on a 20 euro a week pass and had easy trips to Cape Ferrat, Antibes, Villiage of Eze, St Paul Venice. Very easy to seethe French Riviera from this hotel!|Three, the hotel itself occupy’s a corner of a beautiful building. There is a small bar and sitting area in the lobby. My room on the 4th floor had everything I would want , like a nice window that opens to the scenic tree lined boulevard. Also a modern nice bathroom , a comfortable bed, and a nice tvon the wall. Room was cleaned by very nice staff member Karina. |In summary ,I highly recommend and look forward to my next trip back.

This place is just way more dismal than the photos suggest...thankfully we only stayed one night. Our room was small and sad, with a very noisy in the wall A/C unit that kept going off and on all night. Bed was very uncomfortable, with only two old pillows. Tiny elevator that took forever. The only plus was a clean and efficient bathroom, but that wasn't enough. Overpriced for what you get. Not recommended.

Arrived today. Seriously horrible temp control in Rotunda Room. Nice room, but spent all day waiting for temp to drop below 27 degrees. Complained to front desk on way to dinner. Returned at 11pm only to find room at 25, but can adjust to 16 although will not go lower than 24/25. Complained again to desk and they said to address in am. Bathroom is unbearable with absolutely no AC. They put in fan, but now only windy sauna. Seriously untenable at over $355 per night. I'm so upset. Birthday weekend besides!

We are on holiday from Australia and chose Nice as a central location to explore the beautiful Cote d'Azur. We were so happy that we selected the Junior Suite at the Hotel La Villa Victor Hugo. The view from the top floor is lovely, the room is very spacious and the hotel is in a great location. The housekeeping is excellent and the customer service was very friendly. This is a highly recommended Nice hotel.

Recently stayed for 2 nights with my family in a 2 double bed room on the 6th floor. Hotel staff is great, location is terrific, and they were super accommodating when we arrived early and needed to leave bags for a bit before walking the 15 mins to the Nice - Ville train station. Would definitely go back!

This hotel is so overrated. I found the staff to be rude and condescending. The bed was so hard and the pillows so coarse my 10 year old complained about his night of sleep. And there are few amenities ( no wifi in our room. shampoo and no conditioner). The only good thing is the location. Shower dirty. Skip the place.

Very well located. Right between the beach and restaurant and train station. Good service, rooms made everyday. The bad: the toilets smell and the king bed is really just two single beds pushed together.

Yelp
Great place to stay. Clean, quiet, good ac, friendly staff. It is very close to the tram so easy to get to airport. Many nice restaurants and cafes nearbye. The street has many nice buildings and parks. I booked the smaller room, but it was a good size and the bathroom was spacious. The fridge and safe were good to have. The wifi on our room on 4th floor was not so great but that was not a big deal. Overall, a great value. Rooms and lobby are updated. Only 1 elevator which was typical.

Yelp
My husband and I were here for 6 days. The hotel is great- location, cleanliness, nice staff. What made our experience above and beyond was the hotel Director, Agnes. She helped us with a situation we had and truly went above and beyond. She continued to check in on us to make sure our stay was good. She made a good experience great and when we come back to Nice, we'll be sure to stay here!

Yelp
Really unfortunate experience. Would firmly recommend against this hotel, and we travel half of the year, so we've experienced a lot of hotels. The hotel itself is clean enough, but if you have ANY need or desire for pleasant customer care or phone/internet usage (even one iota), this is not the place for you. I travel for work and have been unable to do anything online (no matter the hour, I've tried them all) or even make a phone call without it dropping, which created a very serious professional and financial risk for me. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they told me "you go to a hotel to sleep not to work". I asked to be refunded so I could move hotels but they refused, vehemently so. The staff is not courteous and really doesn't treat you like a guest but more like someone they are truly irritated to have to deal with. I asked for a dinner recommendation and she just pointed across the street at a pizza place. Any other recommendations, ideally French, I ask? "Make a right on the street outside the building." Ok, thanks lol. And the real cherry on top - our tour guide came to pick us up in the morning and she told him we didn't have a room there and sent him away - she was the one who checked us in just 12 hours prior! Not much for concierge or even the most basic human service, to say the least. AC/heat also doesn't work. Honestly, I'm really disappointed in the service and lack of basic amenities (if you can even call WiFi and air amenities and not just prerequisite services of a hotel). I would recommend to make it a point to not stay here unless you want to feel you are in a city but on a remote island where they don't need or care for your business and treat you like a peasant they just can't be bothered with.

Yelp
Nothing fancy, but it's a nice, clean hotel in a great location. The bed is comfortable (though I would have preferred fluffier pillows) and the area is quiet, providing for a good nights rest. The bathroom is small, but efficient. The only challenge is the shower door only goes 1/2 way across the shower, which is pretty typical in European hotels. Europeans must shower differently, cause I always manage to get water everywhere. And if my husband was traveling with me, the whole bathroom would be flooded. Anyways, I would recommend staying here during a visit to Nice, if your looking for a good, basic place to stay, without the need for resort amenities.

Yelp
Be VERY careful of their cancellation penalties. I booked a room here on 5/29/19 for July 17-20, 2019 and had to cancel it on 6/6/19. Although it is high season AND the hotel is currently fully booked they charged me a one night cancellation fee. I contacted their customer service to see if they would waive the fees and no go. Not very customer service*y.

Yelp
Really clean and cute hotel right next to a church. It Does have an elevator! Small but it has one! Decent size room and bathroom. Free WiFi very small closet space. Not much of storage. No storage for toiletries in bathroom either. It was ok for me bc my stay was short

Lisa Marie K.

Yelp
Stayed at this beautiful hotel in nice next to church.. And beach! Walking distance to great shops and restaurants- we had a fabulous time staying here and I recommend coming to this hotel

Yelp
We couldn't have been happier with our stay here. We opted for an upgraded room and it was a really nice size and had a small balcony that was so charming. The hotel is really centrally located and had tons of restaurants nearby and was a nice walk to the beach. The bed was really comfy and the AC worked really well, for the price especially it was great.

Katie K.

Yelp
For the price, it was great! Sure it's older, but what it lacks in updates, it makes up in great staff! Everyone from check in to the cleaning crew was so pleasant. One minor flaw is the pillows could be a bit more comfortable... but that didn't interrupt our stay at all. The hotel location is perfect. We walked everywhere and it was especially nice to be so close to the train station. Overall, highly recommend!

Yelp
Nice and small hotel which is great located right next to the big shopping street and about 5 min walk away from the promenade of Nizza. Very nice staff at the front desk. The rooms basic and clean. Bed is comfy and everything still looks refurbish and in a good condition. Breakfast is also good, not too fancy but you can get all the French basics.

Yelp
Great hotel and amazing location ! It's super clean and modern! I was very surprised at how large the rooms were ! We will be back for sure !'n

Yelp
Small, very clean hotel with nice decor in a great location. Cleaning staff was super nice but all other staff members were super rude. No real complaints but the front desk staff kind of soured it for me.
