The location of Hotel Lago Azul is great with the balconies facing the lake and providing amazing views. At the high altitude it sometimes took a whlie to get up the stairs to the front door and then more stairs (no elevators here) to get to our room. Each floor had it's own sitting area with couches and coffee tables which was a nice relaxing spot for conversation at the end of a busy day. The lobby/restaurant were lovely and also faced the lake for the views. ||||We had a big size room with a queen bed, a cupboard for clothes and bathroom with a shower stall. There was always hot water and the toilet worked well. The bed was very comfortable but the room got a bit cold in the night. There was a portable heater in the room that we plugged in for extra warmth prior to sleeping and that did the trick to take the chill off. ||||Breakfast was included and there was a really good variety of fruits, breads, juices, coffee, tea and cooked to order eggs! For lunches and dinners, just a couple blocks from the hotel, there were all kinds of restaurants! Also, along the beach a five minute walk there were many food places that had fresh trout from the lake. The shops were close by as well. ||||Staff at the front desk were very friendly and most helpful. On their recommendation we took a boat tour to explore Sun and Moon Islands for a day which turned out great! We had a very good visit in Copacabana and staying at this hotel was most enjoyable!
