My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Lahaina! The hotel is very conveniently located with lots of shops and restaurants nearby and the reserved parking is right up the street. We stayed in their Queen City View Lanai as we knew we would be out most of the day exploring. While the room is small, it is so evidently clear the amount of thought and attention to detail they have put into the room! The cubbies underneath the bed, the ledge above the bed, the white noise machine, the robes, nice shower head and bathroom amenities were all top notch quality! Plus, the entire design and aesthetic of the room (and hotel) overall was just incredibly chic. The water-fill station, stemless wine glasses, and mini fridge were also fantastic touches. Lastly, the staff were all so friendly. On one of our days in Maui it was raining and the front desk associate lent me her umbrella while we went out to get breakfast, so friendly! We would 100% stay here again!

Gorgeous hotel in a recently renovated historic building, above one of the best restaurants in Maui! Comfortable bed, lovely balcony views, AC, and mini fridge. Really appreciated the water refill station. Front desk staff available from 8-5, with an honor bar and coffee machine downstairs. Convenient location, very walkable everywhere! Just be prepared for noisy nights (especially if you’re on the Cafe Cafe side) and carrying your luggage upstairs if you didn’t pack light! Easy parking available in nearby lot.

We absolutely loved staying here! Our room was updated, very clean and beautifully decorated. Fantastic air conditioning, comfortable bed, and great shower and bathroom. Hotel was quiet, beautiful, and offers daily complimentary canned water and espresso coffee. It is located above the award-winning Lahaina Grill where we had a fabulous dinner. Just two-minute walk to beach, with many restaurants and shops right outside door. We will definitely go back.

Google
Such a beautiful and charming boutique hotel, literally right in the middle of Lahaina you truly can’t find a better location than this. We were lucky enough to get a reservation at Lahaina Grill which is right downstairs and we had the best meal of our entire westside staycation there! The rooms are so clean and everything feels fresh and new. The front desk/housekeeping staff was so sweet our entire stay. If you want a relaxing stay and a more personal experience than the huge resorts this is the place for you. We will definitely be back!!

Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Lahaina. It was quiet, safe, and extremely comfortable. The location was perfect with close proximity to everything I wanted to see on Front Street. Avie was so accommodating... quick to respond and provide all of the information I needed prior to checking in and my departure. It was beautifully remodeled. Will definitely stay again and recommend to future travelers.

Google
What a fantastic stay at the center of the Historic Lahaina district. - This location was perfectly close to shops, beach gear rentals, and parking. - The balcony was such a fantastic component; we loved just having a nice cold drink out or snacks out on the rocking chairs with the view of the nearby waves. - Ice, beach towels, and beach bag were easily accessible and there is a small fridge in the room. - We also loved the quick coffee machine downstairs. - Abby and Spencer were fantastic and helpful staff members.

Google
Amazing! This hotel was perfect for our stay in Maui. The room was very clean, the items in the room were high quality (towels, shampoo/conditioner, linens, etc.). So many nice touches and every detail thought through. The location is perfect for being able to walk in Lahaina along Front Street for grabbing meals and drinks! The ocean view balcony was amazing. Additionally, the hotel felt very safe. Will definitely stay here again!

Google
Incredible location steps away from the sand, with unlimited dining options. Lahaina Grill featured some of the best food we had anywhere on the island, and the staff was SUPERB. If you’re looking for something more adventurous than a resort, but clean, upgraded, and convenient, I don’t think it gets better than this.

Yelp
Nice folks. Great laughs and champagne. Will return! Anniversary party! Dom! Fun horse back rides!

Yelp
First of all in 2023, Maui has gone completely loco with the pricing of everything! It was our first time back to Maui since 2018, so we expected things to be different. But we were on a belated birthday/honeymoon trip so we were prepared to spend more than usual. My husband has always wanted to stay in Lahaina so we booked 2 of our 8 days at Hotel Lahaina. Pros: Clean room Nice rocking chairs on lanai Central location Cons: The size of the room!!! The king bed took up 85% of room. The price for no amenities, self serve front desk. Parking lot a block away. No elevator (we had 2 large suitcases and assorted bags/packages). I mean, overall it was decent experience, but the price didn't make sense for what we got. My husband now refuses to stay in boutique hotels, lol. We spent the rest of trip at the Residence Inn Wailea and it felt like we moved to a mansion!

Yelp
I love this hotel! I stayed in January and again in February 2023 in the Makai Suite and though small, its incredibly charming and truly I didn't need more space. The view of the ocean though partial was fabulous, the plantation style only adds to everything I love about it. The only drawback is if you happen to have heavy luggage as there is no elevator but being as I had a large suitcase the first stay I didn't have a problem getting it up the stairs, but just that heads up. The Lahaina Grill next to the hotel is more than well worth a strong recommendation. One of the best dinners I've had...ever. And that is saying something. If you're looking for charm and romantic not size? This is well worth the stay!

Yelp
I had to be in Lahaina for work and stayed. Ocean view from the lanai is awesome. Clean and comfortable! Grab a coffee in the lobby and walk the town early. The rooms are top notch with very comfortable beds. They have thought of every detail.

Yelp
This was a wonderful place to stay as a young couple who just wanted a chill, but luxurious experience, we had such a good stay! We stayed in one of the suites and it was beautiful. The bed was one of the best set ups in hotels I have experienced in a while (super comfy beds, multiple lux pillows) I'm someone who always brings an extra pillow, and lemme say, I didn't need it. The location was great for exploring the town. So close to hangout beaches in the area, and easy to access what early nightlife there is. It was such a more relaxing stay than any of the resort options. If you're looking for a pool/hot tub/ beach access, this place isn't for you. But if you want a gorgeous building and a lanai you can gaze at the moon and the beach from, give this place a look. The customer service was great too. We were able to leave some bags for a couple of hours after checkout before our flight in the very small lobby (thank you!) before she finished her shift.

Yelp
I absolutely love this location! This is my second staycation there. Being located right of the main promenade of Front St. allows you to walk everywhere instead of having to drive. The interior is sparkling clean, fresh, tasteful and all of the little touches are greatly appreciated. The lobby coffee bar, water filling station, mini fridge, Bluetooth speaker, luxurious toiletries and incredibly comfortable beds and linens made me feel pampered. I definitely recommend making a reservation at their restaurant, Lahaina Grill downstairs. It is my favorite restaurant on Maui and their Martinis are top notch!

Yelp
My wife and I just took our first trip to Hawai'i and really didnt know where we wanted to spend most of our time. By some research but mostly luck we ended up at Hotel Lahaina. It could not have been a better spot for us to land. We are both into design and figured out quickly that this place has recently been completely redone with a very sharp eye for detail. The bathroom is cozy but perfectly executed. The bedroom has everything you need right where you want it. The balcony has the view, the vibe, and the smell of the ocean that you came for. But it is the little details that made it for us--the beach bags were so perfect we bought one for each of us--the complimentary and refillable water bottles should be an industry standard. We used a couple beach towels every day as we hit nearby beaches recommended by the super friendly staff (we snorkled and saw turtles). All in all I could not recommend a place more highly. They put thought into every detail of this place--you will enjoy it immensely. A big thanks to everyone here who made our stay so memorable--already looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
For my first time in Maui I wanted to find a boutique hotel with an awesome location, great design, and impeccable service. Hotel Lahaina delivered that, and more! Prior to arriving I was contacted via text by the staff to confirm my details and how to check-in. This seamless and contactless approach made me very comfortable so soon after COVID cases decreased, and this hotel had solutions for that. The front desk staff was my favorite. She was a local, had a wealth of knowledge around the area, and checked in on me multiple times via their text software. We built somewhat of a mini relationship over the week and I want her to know how appreciative I am of her energy. The room was darling! It's enough space to feel comfortable, has a cute porch, amazing views of the ocean, and a great bathroom with premium Malin Goetz products! The design of this hotel, and the rooms, is so well thought out! It's chic, crisp, and simple but has a nice Hawaiian vibe to it. The cleaning crew was on top of keeping everything tidy and was very attentive to any requests we had. Downstairs is an amazing restaurant called Lahaina Grill! If you can get reservation, do it. I ended my night there almost every day and their menu is so tasty. This area of Maui offers so much as well! There are countless number of restaurants, store, and activities. You can walk everywhere. So much so, that I didn't need a rental car or Uber for the duration of my trip. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Lahaina. Get in before it becomes insanely popular!

Yelp
While beautifully presented and a great position, the rooms are by far the tiniest I have ever stayed in and considering the cost ( well over $600 US per night) you could never say this was great value. impossible to fit 2 adults, plus luggage in the room ( we had to store some of our things on the verandah...which did look over the ocean) a romantic getaway, but would not recommend for a stay that was longer than one night. we found the receptionist a little unhelpful and not overly friendly ...but the restaurant next door was beyond awesome!

Yelp
This hotel is just my style. Quaint, cozy with personalized feeling of a true bed and breakfast without what can at times feel a little invasive. This is not bed and breakfast but it feels like home. It's clean and comfortable with all the little nuances that come with a personalized touch like the live native flower located in the bathroom or the little dish by the bed to place your phone or watch and keys. Our room overlooked one of the main streets in Lahaina and had an ocean view off the balcony. The location felt a little like being in a room above Bourbon Street all the while being able to hear the waves crashing on the shore nearby. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cute place next to the hustle and bustle of Lahaina's charm!

Yelp
Incredible Hotel and staff! was a real treat! Incredibly accommodating & cheerful- if your hope is to go to maui and feel the easy fun life of Hawaii this place is additive. Free Nepresso Machine was a delight to use everyday.

Yelp
Great location! Super clean, quiet and great staff. Our room was SUPER small, but it was the perfect size for a three day stay.

Yelp
Clean, quiet, and just lovely! We had a great stay here. Love that it's right in the heart of downtown Lahaina. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Set in the heart of Lahaina you will experience a refreshing, boutique style, hotel known as Hotel Lahaina. If you choose to stay we recommend the rooms that overlook Lahainaluna St. These will give you a spectacular view of the waterfront, from your balcony, along Front street. The rooms are quaint but beautifully decorated, very clean & comfortable. The genius of staying at Hotel Lahaina is the virtually hands free check-in/checkout & easy access to your room approach. No need to stand in line with the masses as you are given your own, personal, door code to come & go as you please. This is absolutely seamless & every resort should take on this concept. During normal business hours there IS a front desk host that is very knowledgeable of the area & will assist with any needs. If you have the opportunity, while staying here, DEFINITELY, make reservations at Lahaina Grill which is located directly below Hotel Lahaina. Rated # 1 Restaurant in the United States! Mahalo iā oe no ke kaana ana i kou Mokupuni. Na ke akua e hoopōmaikai aku

Yelp
no frills, good room, good cleaning, good front desk. Comes off a bit extra when you first reserve because they are adamant about checkin / checkout time and you pay in full up front, but they're good people and provide a consistent service, and the rooms are excellent.

Yelp
The minute you walk in the door of Hotel Lahaina you are greeted with Hawaiian charm. No small details have been overlooked. The rooms are chic while also offering all the comforts of home. Will be back for sure.

Yelp
We just completed a week's stay at Hotel Lahaina. The hotel is in a historic building that was renovated a few months ago. It has a lot of charm and is located in the town of Lahaina close to Front St. where there are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. The queen room with a balcony and ocean view we stayed in was cute and modern. Although a little small (fits only 2 people) it was enough for our needs. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and modern. Although our room is close to a busy street, we didn't have any issue with it being too loud. The staff we encountered were very nice and helpful. A few things we really enjoyed about the hotel were the balcony with the views, the location to everything, extra towels we could use for the beach for the day, small refrigerator, and a refillable water station inside the hotel. The hotel also has parking available but at an extra cost and their lot is about a block away from hotel. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again.

Yelp
We were lucky to score a room at beautiful boutique Hotel Lahaina. The rooms were darling, the staff amazing and the location spectacular. Every detail in the room was well thought out, including items such as a refrigerator, wireless speaker, bathrobe, a beach tote and luxury linens and toiletries. The honor coffee and drink bar in the lobby for off hours was a treat. Lahaina Grill is located next door and was recently voted number one restaurant in the country! We were able to secure a reservation and dined as royalty with amazing food and service. Boss Frogs across the street is a beach rental store where we were able to rent beach chairs and a cooler; what a great idea! We walked to the beach and to other dining establishments each night while enjoying the liveliness of Front Street.. Can't wait to visit beautiful Maui and Hotel Lahaina again soon!

Shannon M.

Yelp
Very cute! Room was a little smaller than expected but the location, decor, and customer service far from made up for it. We stayed in a town facing queen room. Make reservations at Lahaina grill, and don't sleep on the coffee maker! Great location would stay again. Staff really did go above and beyond to make the stay great !

Yelp
I am obsessed!!!! We stayed at this cutest, most chic hotel for 2 days and had the time of our lives! It's so design-y and super reasonable for it being this amazing and right on the beach in the center of Lahaina! Loved everything about it from the small details to the most gorgeous view. The beds were SOOOO comfortable, best sleep I've had in a while! Like sleeping on a cloud!! We couldn't hear the street noise which was important and opening that balcony window to the ocean view every morning was the most incredible feeling! All their small but thoughtful touches from sound machines to reusable water bottles and water machine in the halls was really refreshing! I love love this place and can not wait to come visit again! The best part was Ally the owner!! She gave us so many amazing recommendation, I swear we wouldn't have had this much fun on our trip if she hadn't pointed us in the right direction! Thank you Ally and crew!!!! MAHALO

Yelp
Excellent boutique hotel in the heart of Lahaina town. Exceptional attention to detail in the newly updated rooms. I highly recommend if you are looking for an alternative to the resorts. The location is great and the lovely rooms are cool and clean with very comfortable beds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Lahaina. Historic hotel that has been recently renovated with a modern feel, thoughtful details & touches of Hawaiian art. Great location right in the center of Lahaina Town so you can walk everywhere! The lanai's are perfect for people/sunset watching & enjoying the complimentary Nespresso coffee in the mornings. Contactless check in was very efficient and seamless. Would highly recommend!

Kim M.

Yelp
Love this place! Rooms are spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this quaint hotel. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Had a great two night stay here recently. They surprisingly upgraded me to a King suite with a View' from the lanai of the water down the block. The rooms are chic and modern with a touch of history. The lanai had rocking chairs and a nice view of all the local action. If you are a early bird and don't like ambient noise, this might not be for you. But things get quiet after 10 anyways. The Nespresso in the lobby was great as was the water bottles and water refill station. I had dinner one night at Lahaina Grill downstairs, which deserves its own review, and the owner Jurg came up to me and introduced himself and he knew I was a guest at the hotel. That was pretty nice. This is a fabulous, super clean, upscale boutique hotel great for a couple nights to explore Lahaina and take excursions from the dock nearby.

Yelp
Wow! What can I say? I'm truly impressed with the Hotel Lahaina. 10/10!! I had an amazing time, Hotel Lahaina was the perfect Hawaiian getaway for us. I was celebrating passing the bar exam and looking for somewhere extra special for my next trip to Maui. I wanted a clean, upscale establishment in a location that would allow me to enjoy dining, nightlife, shopping and the beach all within walking distance. Hotel Lahaina was the only hotel that checked all the boxes and then some. This eco-conscious hotel stocks rooms with high end amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, hair dryer, beach bags, robes, cups, fridge, wifi, Fire stick TV, black-out curtains, rocking chairs... YES ROCKING CHAIRS), has full air conditioning, features nearby parking, and the lobby even provides complimentary espresso, coffee, water (+ sustainable H2O refill station) and other refreshments; all the bells and whistles needed for a relaxing worry-free stay. We stayed in the Makai Suite, a corner ocean view unit whose balcony features a super fun outdoor basket swing, 2 rocking chairs, and sweeping views of the mountains, beach, and boardwalk. I loved The Frame TV and dual oversized chairs that we sank into. With the blackout curtains drawn, it was like being in our own movie theater, completely private and cozy in a romantically whimsical way. The Makai suite was a great place to come back to after enjoying all the island has to offer, the kind of place you can't wait to get back to, because it was the closest swinging on a beach in Maui I could ever get. There really is nothing like watching the sunset from your room while enjoying a glass of fresh island POG and swinging away all your cares in the world. As far as location goes, Hotel Lahaina is perfectly situated for maximizing your vacation time on West Maui. I loved being able to pop in and out of the hotel during the day to use my own personal bathroom and have an ac/water/coffee/nap break whenever I wanted, a luxury belonging only to guests of the Hotel Lahaina. There is mini beach access and a water activities rental shop within a few paces of the hotel. Shave ice and ice cream are just across the street. Larger beaches are 10 minute drive in either direction. Your dedicated parking spot makes zipping in and out of the town a breeze. At night, the town comes alive and Hotel Lahaina provided the perfect location for the ultimate Maui nightlife experience. The hotel is just above the world renown Lahaina Grill restaurant. Chances are, a meal at this 5-star restaurant is on your bucket list, and there's just something about being able to head straight upstairs back to your 5-star room that makes Hotel Lahaina the extra perfect pairing to Lahaina Grill. Off property, in the town of Lahaina are various other excellent bars and restaurants. Imagine the pure joy of dancing "home" under the stars along empty streets after a night of dinner and drinks all whilst the waves rhythmically crash alongside you. Or how about a quick walk to Lahaina Ice Cream Parlour for a Dole Whip, served in a carved out pineapple enjoyed from a swing or rocking chair on the balcony? Such was life at the Hotel Lahaina!! Take me back!

Yelp
We had a great time at hotel lahaina! Every design touch felt like it had a purpose and added to the experience. The worst part of our stay was that we were only there for 1 night. We stayed in the makai suite which had a magical view of the ocean and the balcony provided a wonderful place to sit and watch the sunset while drinking a glass of wine. The beds and the pillows were so comfortable and we felt very welcome at all times. The location and recent renovation are stellar and we eagerly await the day we can come back.

Marc F.

Yelp
Well, it's not on Kaanapali, but there is a beach within walking distance. It was a different experiencing staying in Lahaina, as we've always stayed in Kaanapali, Napili, or Kapalua areas. The room was very nice, with modern styling and fresh appointments. Parking is at a premium in Lahaina, but the hotel has reserved spots just a block away. Very convenient location, and easy to get in and out for excursions to the rest of the island. Would recommend this for those looking for a more quiet experience in a hotel with no children allowed.

Yelp
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - ANTS IN ROOM!!! Short story: I was really excited to stay here as I heard wonderful things about this boutique hotel. We were staying at the Andaz in Wailea for 4 nights before we headed over to this side of the Maui. We really wanted to experience lahaina so we knew this was a perfect fit. When we arrived the morning of check in, we were greeted. The individual was fine but didn't offer to help with the luggage up the steps and watched us struggle. There is NO elevator! When we asked for instructions on where to park, very very unhelpful. Just kept saying you will see a sign that way and pointed. We were staying two nights. The first night we weren't really in the room as it was VERY SMALL and we wanted to explore Maui anyways so it worked out. We enjoyed a nice dinner at Lahaina Grill where we had an amazing experience. The food was great and the staff was friendly! The next morning, I noticed ANTS everywhere. We were luckily checking out so my only focus was getting out of the room as soon as possible. I proceeded to kill 30+ ants as they were in my bags, above the bed, on the floor, and up the walls. The morning of I make the house keeper aware and the front desk. She offers $100 off our stay. This to me is ridiculous because I had to go and clean all my clothes as they were covered. I called Ally Mattox who is the property manager. SO RUDE. I sent her pictures of the ants and she proceeded to call me a liar and say there were no ants and they called someone to check. Then she said there was only a few and that I was being SHADY. This to me is so unprofessional that a manager and I believe owner called me shady. How is this shady when I have proof of the ants?! I am shocked to say the least. If I could give zero stars I would. Very unfriendly staff, rooms are SO SMALL, rooms COVERED IN ANTS! Do not waste your time or money here.
