Hotel Laki

Lovely place. Great chef. The menu was intelligently thought out using locally sourced produce. The food was cooked beautifully. Very tidy hotel. Warm and friendly staff. Our room has a view that was nothing less than amazing. Thank you everyone for a wonderful stay.

Very nice hotel with a pretty good view. Excellent breakfast and service with nice staff. Rooms were very nice. Wish there was a small fridge. Cool rooftop patio area.

Our stay at the Laki Hotel was a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel was excellent for the sites we visited. I’m so glad that we chose the Laki Hotel over stay in the town of Vik. Also the restaurant was amazing. I’m so glad that the hotel served a sit down dinner and the food was delicious.

We stayed one night at Hotel Laki while passing through the area. The location is quite nice and peaceful, with our room overlooking the fields. While we enjoyed the view, the room was fairly dingy with a pretty bad smell in the bathroom (not just the typical sulphur smell, more like drain rot). The staff was very kind and did what they could to fix it. But we just ended up keeping the door closed. Overall the peeling wallpaper and dinged up paint could be fixed with the easy touch ups. The breakfast was excellent and again, staff were lovely. It wouldn't take much to bring this hotel up a few notches.

We are so pleased with our stay to your hotel. We arrived exhausted and so late for our check in so it was amazing to be welcomed by a lovely receptionist. We got upgraded and our room was absolutely beautiful. Clean and fresh. |We had to leave very early the next day so we couldn’t stay for breakfast. However your staff was so supportive and offered us a packed breakfast. They were all so kind and generous.|We will definitely recommend it to our friends and family. |If there was one thing to make this experience even better would be a small kettle in the room where we could make some tea for ourselves.

Great stay, beautiful location, very kind service, delicious breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay. Great water pressure, if you crack a window open it cools down the room.

We stayed at Hotel Laki for two nights and had a great experience. The rooms were spacious and clean, the breakfast was on spot, the staff was friendly, and best of all we got to see the northern lights from our room! Will definitely stay here again.

This was a good stop on our way back to Reykyavik after some activities in Jokulsarlon just off the Ring Road. The highlight was the restaurant and food, and the service in the restaurant. The standard room itself was pretty small and somewhat dated. Maybe a nitpicky thing - I'd point out the lack of proper pillows. We had a tiny pillow each and a cushion each.
