Very nicely redecorated vintage hotel. Efficient and friendly staff. Great location. Main downside was our very cramped room. No chairs or any place to sit. We had a shared lanai, which helped some. Hotel restaurant is closed on Sun, and Mon. We would recommend though.

Small quaint hotel right in city center. Admittedly, city center is about a block long across both sides of Dole Park. The toilets are the best amenity this hotel offers. ||The building itself has a lot of plantation history so that nice. The room is updated and aesthetically pleasing. ||The shower pressure is light and there really isn't hot water. There is warm water to shower. ||It was disappointing that the hotel had no body lotion. Such a basic amenity. It's a good alternative to save money on a hotel when compared with Four Seasons and Sensie. ||Staff was cordial. I would stay again if my plan would be outside of the room 95% of the day. No room to walk around in your room and I booked the room with a porch thankfully. That gave us some room to move around.

Air conditioning is broken in my room. It's obviously not working properly. Front desk told me to just lower the temperature to 60 as low as possible and wait 10 minutes. I did that 2 hours ago. They should instead transfer me to a room with AC that works. But.... nope.

Quaint hotel with tech forward rooms. I enjoyed all the tech in the room. Shades, lights and fan all operated by a panel which was nice. I loved the toto toilets just as others mentioned. The heated seat for girlies is such a treat. Also, liked the attached restaurant. Food was good, not great. Service was great. Overall, recommend as a 3 star hotels. They missed body lotion and having basic trash can in the room. Note: the rooms are very small! The porch upgrade is worth it.

Stunning and quaint, "best kept secret" for lodging on Lana'i. Historical building, with incredible landscaping, and modern, well appointed redesigned interiors.

Hotel Lanai is a gem in the middle of town that offers an unparalleled experience. With only 11 rooms, this boutique historic hotel provides an intimate atmosphere that makes guests feel like family. We were blown away by the full service restaurant on property that served mouthwatering dishes and had an impressive wine selection with a great happy hour.. The king size room with a patio facing town was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The hotel's location was within walking distance to local markets, hiking trails, and breathtaking views on a morning walk. We couldn't have asked for a more memorable stay! Shout out Ferlyn (Front Desk), Jacob (bartender) Jordan (hotel restaurant), Christian (Chef), Chuck (Master Sommelier) and Sayla (Housekeeper).

Hotel Lanai is beautiful and located right by all the cute shops and great restaurants in Lanai City. It is also walking distance to the Adventure Towers and right across the street from the movie theater with the best popcorn ever. I had some minor issues the first night at the hotel and the staff bent over backward to take care of them immediately. My husband and I were having some trouble finding transportation down to the beach and the gal at the desk worked hard to help us out. Erin the manager even went so far as to drive up to the hotel to bring me something I needed. I am so impressed! Will definitely come back again. :)

Cute, quiet, and cozy little hotel! Easy walking distance to Lanai City and a quick drive to beaches, views, and hikes. The beds were insanely comfortable, the rooms were spotless and surprisingly high-tech (bidet toilet with heated seat, variety of light and curtain settings, etc.), and the TV and room fridge were great to have. We also loved the blackout curtains and the 12pm check-out time. Sadly, the attached restaurant wasn’t open the days of our stay (closed Sun-Mon), but with easy access to dining in town this was no problem. Simple and appreciated continental breakfast served daily. A couple notes for future guests / things that could enhance this place even more: - This is the countryside, so roosters will crow as early as 3am! Having earplugs as a light sleeper came in handy. - We paid extra for a lanai room only to discover that it overlooks the (albeit tiny) parking lot. In our opinion it wasn’t worth it and actually felt less private than the garden rooms probably did. - I don’t know if it was just our room, but the door to the lanai and the sliding door to the bathroom were quite heavy. It was okay for us, but I kept thinking that for older folks or anyone with shoulder issues this could be a hazard. - Since this is a small hotel, be aware that you won’t have access to staff 24/7. Also, make sure to schedule your check-in time accurately to ensure someone’s at the desk when you arrive. - The trash can in the room was tiny. Luckily we had packed our own trash bags for food containers, etc., but a bigger trash can would have definitely come in handy. Despite its quirks, this place was a great stay overall and a wonderful option if you’re looking for a chill, affordable vacation in Lanai!
