Stayed for two nights with friends after walking the Via Francigena. Rooms were very nice and clean and good air conditioning. Lots of nice comfortable areas to relax including outside garden courtyard. Staff were very friendly and great service. Really nice little bar open whenever you needed. Lovely breakfast.|Great location next to Colosseum with lots of restaurants close by. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our family of four stayed here at the end of June and enjoyed the hotel’s location in a quieter neighborhood with easy access to the Colosseum. The rooms were relatively comfortable but couldn’t quite get cool enough for a good night’s sleep in June. The included breakfast had a nice selection of breads, meats, and cheeses to start the day. We also had dinner on-site one night which we found delicious and a good value. The rooftop terrace was much smaller than I expected and appears to be a shared space with some other rooms. The hotel is located about an 8 minute walk to the B line station and 12 minute walk to the A line station, which got a bit exhausting in the June heat. Overall this met our needs, but if walking to Metro stops is an issue for you, you may want to stay elsewhere.

Amazing service. We comfortably slept four in a suite. Our room overlooked a cute courtyard with a cute little Fiat. Delicious breakfast. On the days we left early, the desk prepared us sack lunches to go. Free wifi. 10 minue walk from the Colosseum. There is an amazing pizza place around the corner called Li Rioni.

A Timeless Gem in the Heart of Rome – Lancelot Hotel Delivers Old-World Charm and Unmatched Hospitality! My stay at the Lancelot Hotel in Rome was nothing short of magical, and I can’t recommend this delightful hotel enough! From the moment I arrived, I was transported into an old-world charm that perfectly captures the essence of historic Rome. The hotel’s classic architecture, elegant decor, and warm ambiance made me feel like I had stepped back in time, yet with all the modern comforts I could need. The Lancelot Hotel exudes a timeless elegance, with its beautifully appointed rooms, antique furnishings, and thoughtful details that reflect the rich history of the city. The cozy lounge areas and the charming courtyard where breakfast is served were highlights of my stay—sipping coffee surrounded by greenery and the soft hum of Italian conversation felt like a scene from a classic film. The location is also perfect, just a short walk from iconic landmarks like the Colosseum, yet tucked away in a quieter, more authentic part of Rome. What truly sets the Lancelot Hotel apart, however, is its incredibly hospitable staff. From the warm welcome at check-in to the personalized recommendations throughout my stay, the team went above and beyond to make me feel at home. They were always ready with a smile, eager to share their knowledge of Rome, and quick to assist with anything I needed—whether it was booking a restaurant, arranging transportation, or suggesting the best gelato spot nearby. Their genuine kindness and passion for ensuring guests have a memorable experience made all the difference. The breakfast spread was another delightful surprise, offering a variety of fresh, local options that catered to every taste. The attention to detail in every aspect of my stay—from the spotless rooms to the little touches like fresh flowers in the lobby—showed how much the staff cares about creating a welcoming environment. If you’re looking for a hotel in Rome that combines old-world charm with exceptional hospitality, the Lancelot Hotel is the perfect choice. It’s a rare find that captures the heart and soul of Italy, and I can’t wait to return for another unforgettable stay. Thank you to the entire team for making my trip so special!

I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Rome! The rooms are lovely, there’s a private vine-covered courtyard in the front and back, full bar, dining area with delicious breakfast and plenty of other quaint lounge areas. The staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating. Would love to come back one day.

This is my second stay at Hotel Lancelot. This time I was traveling with my family. We had 2 comfortable rooms. The hosts are knowledgeable and helpful with restaurant and sightseeing tips. The location is amazing. Just a block or two from multiple restaurants and 3 blocks from the coliseum., yet tucked into a quiet neighborhood. Breakfasts are great and varied.

Fairs and the staff are incredible! The spaces encourage conversation and connection. The terrace views are gorgeous. Faris’s meals are not to be missed. The location is as perfect as one could get. This former home of a Contessa is as comfortable as it is elegant. We love this place!!

The hotel is located just in 5-7 min walk from the Colosseum. Very quiet and pleasant place. Everything looks antique in the hotel: lobby, breakfast place, the room. Pictures attached. |Reception and housekeeping team are polite and friendly. |I would recommend the place to stay.

Yelp
Adorable boutique hotel. In a gated entrance. Great customer service, great bar, great daily breakfast that is included. Had coffee and you could get a latte if you wanted one. Very clean hotel. Bathrooms were updated. We had the family room and it had one queen bed and two twins which was perfect for a family of 4. Hotel owner was so kind and helped us when my daughter was injured with an ankle and foot sprain. Great location! Easy walking to restaurants and the Colosseum. Grocery store nearby. No refrigerators in room but you can ask for glasses and ice for your water or drinks you buy. Had taxis or Uber for longer destinations. We will be back there to stay again!

Yelp
Great "boutique" hotel located a mere three blocks from the Coliseum. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Shaded front and rear courtyards to beat the Rome heat while having a libation from the hotel bar. Also, a rooftop sitting area. Breakfast is provided in the morning. (Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella and prosciutto for breakfast !!!) A/C in our room worked fine. We even had a small terrace. Only two cons: Very small elevator. If you have a large piece of luggage, it's just you and that luggage on the elevator. Con number two: Small bathroom. Shower was very tight for a 6'3" 220-pound man. And no room for toiletries in the bathroom either. Other than that, I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
A sweet little hotel near the colosseum. Located on a quiet street. Attentive staff. Comfortable rooms. Their breakfast has a lot to offer, there's something for everyone. Good coffee! They do also offer dinner. Have not tried that yet, but the menu looks delicious. The price for a shared room was very reasonable. Within walking distance to the colosseum and metro. If I ever return to Rome I would stay here again!

Yelp
A charming, small hotel located near the coliseum. The staff was very attentive. The hotel is cozy and welcoming. They serve a hearty "buffet" breakfast every morning that included something everyone will enjoy. Fresh fruit. Muesli. Meats. Cheeses. Breads. They also offer an optional dinner that we had one night. It was amazing. The owner dined with us, as did a few other hotel guests. Every course was delicious, especially the homemade panna cotta topped with blueberries for dessert. The hotel may not be in the middle of the city action but we liked the quieter area. Plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance and the rest of the city is easily accessible by cab, metro or by foot.

Yelp
Lovely. Friendly. Fabulous. And it is our first night here! We get to stay a whole week with our Rick Steves tour group. The dinner they have nightly at 730 pm is wonderful and lovely. Beautiful tables with lighted candles then comes the food!!! Must give reservations by 6pm if you want dinner here. It was amazing food and company. They also have a little bar area with cozy seating. This is a truly wonderful Rome experience. Come and enjoy this gem!!

Yelp
My daughter and I stayed here in '14 on what was her first trip to ltaly. She was mesmerized by the the whole trip, but especially by Hotel Lancelot. Great property, location, amenities, staff. Nice lounge and dining too. Close walking distance to the center of ancient Rome and dozens of very good to fine dining establishments. Long story short, we are back for several days in '17. Nothing has changed.

Yelp
Loved this place; I will stay here again in a heartbeat. Being hosted, not just hospitality, is a dying form but it has its bastions here and there. The Hotel Lancelot is one of those places. I don't think I've even been so well accommodated and truly hosted. The overall experience was comparable and as memorable as my stay at the Hyatt Regency in Hong Kong. Now this place is not the same luxury five star hotel as the Hyatt but everything about it's charm and the people working there along with the reception from the hotel owners made it among some of my most memorable stays. The owners made a point to routinely check in and talk to our group. They were friendly and often recommended great restaurants and places to stay. There was a genuine care from them and the rest of the staff whether or not we were having a good time. They kept the bar open late and the owners often had a drink with us -- even treated us to several drinks. They came to nearly every one of our shows at the Teatro Brancaccio, a few blocks to the north, and on the final night they invited us to the rooftop for drinks. It felt more like staying with friends than it did staying in a hotel. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Very clean and had a charming decor. Many of them had balconies and I often took my breakfast up and ate overlooking towards to Colosseum. It's located on a sleepy street but very easily accessible to everything. We did several walks out to the Colosseum, Forum, Trevi Fountain, and so forth. I would also like to point out the photos are accurate and possibly don't fully capture how comfortable this place is to stay.

Yelp
We stayed here for our stay in Rome and I was smitten with the balcony. The hotel is a couple of blocks from the Colosseum. The room was clean, air conditioning was sufficient (we were there in the hot summer days of August), and the staff was very friendly.

Yelp
This is the only place I have and will ever stay in Rome. I just finished my fourth stay and there is nothing at all I don't like about this place. The owners and staff are the most kind and helpful people I know. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly clean. The food is perfect. Breakfast is included and it is beautiful. Dinner is an add-on option at an amazing value...but the food is beyond delicious! The location is also perfect, a small five minutes walk to the Colosseum and Forum. You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
I stayed here last night and it was the first time ever at this hotel in Rome. The location is great - literally down the street from the Colleseum and the nearby area is very pretty, couldn't be happier. Upon entering, the staff was super sweet and chatted with me about Florence, what to do in Rome and said that the dinner they offer there is eaten family style in order to get to know the other people, which I thought was a really unique touch. I felt like they really cared about me having a nice stay. For the price (115 for one person) it was a great deal, especially for Rome. My room was very pretty and cozy and on my floor (6th) there was a stunning terrace that overlooks Rome. NIce! Breakfast was good, it was pretty abundant for Italy and I liked the coffee they use. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a three star that could be a four star (stars don't really MEAN anything in Italy). Its very convienent location-wise and the dinner menu looked pretty good even if I didn't get to try it.

Yelp
Upon arriving, we were immediately treated like guests of honor by the concierge. He was so super friendly and helpful, and gave us lots of detailed information about the city. The staff in general really took care of us during our stay. The room itself was not spectacular decoration and comfort-wise, but the view was phenomenal! We could see the Colosseum while enjoying a beer outside among the flowers on our terrace. The dinners are served family-style, so you get to meet and chat with other guests. This was by far our favorite part of our stay. The food was great and the wine was also wonderful. Don't hesitate to participate in one of these truly enjoyable meals!

Yelp
We loved everything about this place. It's a great location, near landmarks and transportation. It was our first time in Rome, and the staff could not have been more helpful in planning our itinerary and getting around the city. The room was nice and clean and ready early for us. We dined in the courtyard with other guests who were repeat customers and great company. If we ever go back, we would definitely stay here again.
