The Hotel Landmark Fort offers a cosy stay in a prime location, close to the Shivaji Train Terminus, formerly known as Victoria Terminus, in Mumbai. The beds are extremely comfortable, with high-quality mattresses and fine bedding. Room service is prompt and genuine. Each guest is provided with two pillows—one soft and one slightly firmer—both of excellent quality, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.
The rooms are equipped with large LG televisions and the company’s remote, tea and coffee-making facilities, tumbler glasses, and complimentary 500 ml bottled water per guest per day. A box of clean white tissues, a refrigerator, and a good-quality reading light at the head of the bed are also provided. On the fourth floor, the rooms are larger and better appointed, with those on the left corridor side more spacious than those on the right. These rooms feature large, floor-to-ceiling French-style windows with dual curtains offering complete blackout capability.
Bathrooms are spotless, fitted with high-quality faucets and fixtures. Water pressure is excellent, even on the top floor. However, the strong water flow means the shower area occasionally experiences minor water logging, though it drains away efficiently without causing obstruction. Toilets flush effectively, remain clean, and resist staining. For extended stays, housekeeping restores both the bed and bathroom to pristine condition daily.
Mitsubishi air-conditioning units operate efficiently, running 24 hours a day. Hot water is available around the clock. The restaurant serves clean and healthy food, though slightly costly and milder in spice than some might prefer. The dining area is neat and well maintained. The inclusive breakfast has an excellent spread of Indian-style dishes, multiple varieties of jam, honey, achar, and marmalade. Coffee and juice machines, operated by a third party, serve high-quality, sugar-free drinks. Eggs and Indian breads are freshly made to order, and the breakfast selection includes at least three to four types of fresh fruit daily.
Room service is consistently prompt, topping up bottles with RO-filtered water upon request. Though the hotel has an in-house restaurant, guests bringing outside food will find staff courteous enough to deliver it to their rooms.
Overall, with its excellent location, courteous staff, and efficient room service, our stay was highly enjoyable. Rooms on the second and third floors may feel a little cosy, but the spacious fourth-floor rooms are well worth the additional cost.
